"Thank You" Prettier Plaques Stenciled Cookie

- I’m back this week with another of my Prettier Plaques stenciled cookies using what I think is my new all-time favorite stencil set - “Thank You”! In addition to showing you how to use this set, I demonstrate the concept of “conscious color commingling”. (LOL, say that three times fast!) By this, I mean purposeful overspraying beyond stencil boundaries to encourage the blending of neighboring colors. Overspray creates unexpected shades where colors overlap, especially when using water-based colorings, and results in a more natural and nuanced look, particularly in stencils with organic designs. I also show how to extend this concept onto wafer paper to make dainty butterfly embellishments for use on cookies, cupcakes, and even cakes!

The stencils are delightful but p&p to the uk is as much as the stencils and puts them out of my price range. I do love the videos though and look forward to the next ones

Julia, Do you think a stencil with a house scene on it would sell? It could be decorated for any holiday depending on the choice and placement of colors. Just a thought in case you need inspiration. Ha, I bet you have a slew of ideas running around in that busy brain of yours, and as usual, I look forward to seeing what you have up your sleeve. I'm in your stencil of the month club so if you surprise me with a charming house stencil in your prettier plaques series I won't be disappointed when my surprise comes in the mail.
I didn't join at the start, but I'm assuming all of the prettier plaque sets on the "Couture Confections" site have been part of the "Stencil of the Month." If I purchase anything on the site at this point, I don't have to worry about it showing up in my mailbox at a later date, right? By the way do you have an artist that helps you with the designs or do you design them all yourself? The artwork is so lovely and very tasteful.
I figured as much but wanted to verify. I'm sure you and she enjoy working out the designs. Looking forward to what's coming next.
