If you understand clutch gas brakes and have decent balance start on a 600
Ur gonna get bored of a smaller cc bike quick
Or pick up a small dirtbike and learn basics then get a bigger bike

It really depends, if you don't really know what you are doing then start on something smaller to be safe, but do realize that the bike will become boring very quick. If you want something what is a bit of fun but something you can also learn on get a 400 or a 600.
