Yes this is the set opener. They haven't even taken their jackets off at this stage! They only wear those high buttoned up military style dress jackets for the first song as if they've only just arrived. They take them off after this which must be a mercy considering the high energy they put out. Imagine poor Haruna having to drum for an hour and a half at that speed in a thick jacket! It would stunt her growth poor lass!

It just doesn't get any better than Lovebites as I have been mentioning so many time over the past 4 years these ladies have opened the pandora box of rock and were blessed with an enormous amount of talent that has gone beyond the realms of death, the reincarnation is what we all have been witnessing with every video and sho every EP and every album to it full potential of awesomeness. This is perfection at its finest I am so in Love with Lovebites, to all the haters out there just suck it up pull your pants back up and it time to admit the true fact that there is no one better than Lovebites. I am almost sure that the greats of the eras of the past are in awe and speechless when they see Lovebites play. There was a reactor yesterday that did a four-song reaction to Lovebites and he had The Hammer of Wrath and Break the wall on it and his comments were Hammer was Thrash metal 100% and break the wall was mega thrash metal 100% and I have to agree that each and every song si completely different it is own way. here is a link to Hammer of Wrath ua-cam.com/video/vwkaJTyaLQQ/v-deo.html What can be said that hasn't already been said, every EP and every Album is unique in it's own way and all the song are amazing and epic, it is all perfection at it's finest, the new EP Glory, glory to the World is a new addition to the majesty and magical sounds of Lovebites
This concert is maybe the best buy i do this year (yes, you can buy from Japan and have no region restriction) and this for me are really great words because the month before this, y buy the concert in Shibuya from Band Maid. Well, they have a lot of influences of classical metal, even their song "The Crusader" is an obvious tribute to "Aces High" from Iron Maiden, but they do a modern twist to all this influences. Metallica, Iron Maiden, and btw Helloween is the favourite band of the drummer Haruna Anyway also you must think that they are from Japan, and all the japanese metal have a strong influence from X-Japan. Maybe the greatest band that ever was made in Japan from modern times. X-Japan have strong influences of hair and classical metal. Speed, Power, Trash... modern influences can be found in other bands like Memophila but Lovebites prefer to follow the classic bands, a lot of bands in Japan have follow other styles, like symphonic and speed and of course the visual key influence who comes from people like David Bowie or KISS (btw, KISS are really popular in Japan, even have a series of "Hello Kitty" accesories). Btw, you know that the sound producers and engineer are Mikko Karmila and Mika Jussila? They come from Finland and works with bands like Nightwish, Sonata Artica, Stratovarius and others.
3:30 This actually *is* a hommage to SLAYER, well guessed! 😁 The former bassist Miho (active in this video) wrote it after having visited a SLAYER concert. Miho generally wrote the rather heavy, "thrashy" songs for Lovebites. Heavy Metal is her style of music, and she is an explicit fan of Steve Harris (Iron Maiden). 😊
Their music style is more related to who compose the song. All of them can compose songs even the lead singer who doesn't have metal experience until LOVEBITES (2 ballads and Winds Of Transylvania). Those 2 ballads ( Epilogue : ua-cam.com/video/JGzdspVDZeU/v-deo.html , A FROZEN SERENADE : ua-cam.com/video/HS6toqnK384/v-deo.html ) are surprisingly good.
Yes, this is an opener. Try the song Crusade. Insight/Awaken one of first songs Asami sang with them, they re-recorded this in their studio back in October. Cool to check them out, in everyday dress. Your reactions are so nice. I do the same, get emotional with Lovebites, Band Maid, and Nemophila.
This video is about a compilation of guitar solos from Midori and Miyako a sweet little girl band called LOVEBITES Live ua-cam.com/video/AEMLw6qASRI/v-deo.html
Some Japanese bands. Take your pick: BAND-MAID [All their songs... really!], LOVEBITES [Raise some Hell, and all the other songs], MAXIMUM THE HORMONE [Yoshu Fukushu], CROSSFAITH [Catastrophe], SiM [Killing Me], NINGEN ISU [Heartless Scat], UNLUCKY MORPHEUS [Black Pentagram], YOUSEI TEIKOKU [Astral Dogma], COLDRAIN [Die Tomorrow], CRYSTAL LAKE [The Circle], GIVEN BY THE FLAMES [Ronove], ANGRY FROG REBIRTH [2Step Syndrome], SILENTLY SHOOTING TRAITORS [Manipulate], ALDIOUS [Dominator], BRIDEAR [Light in the Dark], CINQ ELEMENT [Destiny], MARY'S BLOOD [Marionette], GRAUPEL [Bereavement], DOLL$BOXX [Take my Chance] , SOKONINAR [Tenohira De Odoru], HELLO SLEEPWALKERS [Flying Saucer], TELECiDE [Tied up Memories], SPIRITBOX [Belcarra], NEKO [Ghost on a Record], ROTTENGRAFFTY [Hallelujah], DIR EN GREY [Ningen wo Kaburu], X JAPAN [Kurenai], DAZZLE VISION [Second], JUPITER [My Enemy], GALNERYUS [Angel of Salvation], BLOOD STAIN CHILD [Del-Sol], and many more...
And you have to consider that LB aren`t by far the first great japanese all girl-metal-group. Or hardrock. Since show-ya there were several you also have to check out like Destrose, Cyntia, early Bridear, Aldious, Mary`s Blood. All greatly skilled girlbands who write their own songs and play their instruments.
You could do a whole series on bands and solo acts that have a connection to Destrose. From their start as Destroya to Saki forming Nemophila. I think it is currently close to 20 bands or solo acts that fed musicians into Destrose took ex-members or formed new bands with ex-members.
There is another japanese band to see,and it's one of my favorites, The Gazette...please check them. Deux or Ugly ,both live are good ways to start. Amazing reaction and review again,i love Lovebites!
@@akaalexanderking Gazette is also great and don`t forget the band "lynch", also great. This type of japanese music is called "visual kei". But all male bands. No women there.
Huh did Thunder Vengeance win the most votes in the last comments? Huh. I thought for sure Epilogue would win. 😝 I still recommend Break the Wall based on what you talk about in your videos. The keyword this time is bluesy, you checked almost every box now. And keep the Gibson in mind!
In fairness it was not too recent, I put that up right after the reaction to Swan Song I think. But I loved that so much that I went for another piano one after 😅
When you speak of Haruna, and how she doesn't "show off", I have never seen a video of their live performances where Haruna has a drum solo. I would like to believe it's because she is humble. On the other hand, I would love to see her doing a solo...it could be mind-blowing!!
@@akaalexanderking Under the red sky is for sure one of the best ones. And it is one of those that will surprise you, because it is a mix of different genres. I don't see many reactions to it, but it was my favorite song for a long while, until I started leaning more on the Edge of the world... For sure still top 5. Very melodic. And put the CC lyrics on. it is about the nuclear bomb. Imagine mix of: Iron maiden + 1950's black and white musical...
It's really hard to say how they've progressed in terms of style, because they don't really have one set style. They're certainly getting better all the time. I would say that their second album, Clockwork Immortality, is the "lightest" of the three, with some of their most commercial sounding tracks. Rising, Empty Daydream and Epilogue could have had airplay on any commercial rock station (and you should check out the music video for Rising and the live videos for Empty Daydream and Epilogue). There's also Journey to the Other Side from that album, which Miho wrote to honour the memory of her deceased father, and the live video is so emotional and really shows what a group of friends they are. Electric Pentagram has many styles, from thrash (Set the Workd on Fire is their craziest, heaviest song) to power metal to classic rock (Raise Some Hell, Dancing With The Devil) and even a track with a bit of a swing to it (The Unbroken)!. But their new mini album is extremely interesting... in particular, Dystopia Symphony which almost has a bit of a Dream Theater vibe to it and has me really excited to see where they go next!
Their releases are just slightly different, others can discuss that. but this Five of a Kind live Tokyo Zepp Diver City, is nearly flawless. and it's spectacular to track the live shows. Their first headliner, in London (not in Japan! they really targeted European/Western/"foreign" metal) was ~November '17, this show was ~Feb 2020, hardly two years together! (tho over a year before that to come together, then summer '17 to do first full length album). There are official DVDs for 2(3?) shows in the summer of 2018 (Battle in the East, Wacken) and Bloodstock festival's official release of their set (which is largely disliked for sound quality), then Daughters of the Dawn (jan? 2019, shorter skirts), FoaK, and then the recent "live in the studio session" playing thru entire first Awake album (and a Helloween cover). Point is, you can really see the progress, performance mistakes getting fixed, etc, they've definitely improved their show, and for a busy band that averages a new song per month, the quality has really risen very fast, to now match the very high (from the start) studio quality... Try Break the Wall from Daughters of the Dawn, then Break the Wall from Five of a Kind (in one reaction, ya?), look for visual differences, but also a different guitar, small differences in solos, etc... It's an early song, and the only one written by Miho(founder/bass) & Miyako(writer/piano) together (the two most prolific writing leaders), and I have a feeling it could be your favorite (of the non-piano songs)
Miho Miho Miho! It's not that Haruna can't twirl and show off it just that she picks her moments THAT is what makes her stand out to me, She can show off but doesn't feel the need to overplay it.
I think you need to watch Haruna more if you think she doesnt throw flares with the sticks. In an interview with her she said her favorite songs are the ones that are not so busy and she can have fun with the sticks.
I have turned on many people to the female bands coming out of Japan...I hit them first with Band Maid live then this song from Lovebites....every one of them prefer Band Maid 🤷♂️

LOVEBITES - Thunder Vengeance lyrics:
Gods of vengeance
Standing in the nightmare
The peal of thunder broke me and more
When losing my eye
The days will pass before me
A faded memory of what used to be
Death by oblivion (Do it)
Deadly criterion (Do it)
Flames of despair burning
My blood is boiling inside me
Death by oblivion (Do it)
Deadly criterion (Do it)
Inner enraged demon is becoming me
Here come days of revenge
Until the day the light can reach into my blind eye
Lost in the rage
These scars are here to tell me that I’m still alive
Into the blackness
Don’t reveal weakness
Hiding my curses, pay off an old grudge
Forgotten feelings, other than resentment
Don’t even mind giving others pain
Damn the redemption (Do it)
Drowning confusion (Do it)
Doom filled with righteous indignation
Where’s my salvation?
Damn the redemption (Do it)
Drowning confusion (Do it)
Does my life have meaning?
Am I a speck of dust?
I’ve got blood on my hands
I want to claw and tear you, rip apart your name
Die in the sands
Your sins will never be erased or washed away
Beaten down but the hatred’s growing
Rotten pain that is never healing
Only I can end my suffering
I won’t kneel down because of yesterday
Gods of vengeance
Standing in the nightmare
The peal of thunder broke me and more
When losing my eye
The days will pass before me
A faded memory of what used to be
Death by oblivion (Do it)
Deadly criterion (Do it)
Flames of despair burning
My blood is boiling inside me
Death by oblivion (Do it)
Deadly criterion (Do it)
Inner enraged demon is becoming me
Here come days of revenge
Until the day the light can reach into my blind eye
Lost in the rage
These scars are here to tell me that I’m still alive
Blood on my hands
I want to claw and tear you, rip apart your name
Die in the sands
Your sins will never be erased or washed away
Thanks as always for the lyrics ;)
Now you are ready for THE HAMMER OF WRATH !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I want to start headbanging just by reading the name ahahah

thunder vengeance make me blowing up bro.... \m/
Well, that’s how to open a concert.
May be it’s time to react to “Epilogue”, live (those guitars sing and cry, and awesome vocals)
Yep, that's how it's done 🤘🏻
I like the idea of another channel with some deeper level analysis. One picks up on more details after subsequent relistens.
Yep, that's the idea. It would still be on this main channel though ;)
@@akaalexanderking I don't know if you have ever seen Rick Beato's "What Makes This Song Great" but it sounds like that is something similar you are looking to do...if I understand correctly.
Exactly. Of course I don't have the songs' masters like he does but that's more or less the idea
The EP came out on the 10th and I received mine today with the shirt! Haruna is usually too busy to do many showy things while drumming, but she does some stick spins (flips?) on occasion! Most notably during the song Dancing with the Devil in the Five of a Kind performance.
Great Dennis, I'm sure I'll get to that soon enough ;)
LOVEBITES - Thunder Vengeance:
Dei della vendetta
In piedi nell'incubo
Il fragore del tuono mi ha spezzato e altro ancora
Quando perdo l'occhio
I giorni passeranno davanti a me
Un ricordo sbiadito di ciò che era
Morte per oblio (fallo)
Criterio mortale (fallo)
Fiamme di disperazione ardenti
Il mio sangue ribolle dentro di me
Morte per oblio (fallo)
Criterio mortale (fallo)
Il demone infuriato interiore sta diventando me
Annegamento confusione (fallo)
Doom pieno di giusta indignazione
Dov'è la mia salvezza?
Accidenti alla redenzione (fallo)
Annegamento confusione (fallo)
La mia vita ha un significato?
Sono un granello di polvere?
Ho le mani sporche di sangue
Voglio artigliarti e strapparti, strapparti nome
Muori nelle sabbie
I tuoi peccati non saranno mai cancellati o mondati
Abbattuto ma l'odio sta crescendo
Un dolore marcio che non guarisce mai
Solo io posso porre fine alla mia sofferenza
Non mi inginocchierò a causa di ieri
Dei della vendetta
In piedi nell'incubo
Il fragore del tuono mi ha spezzato e altro ancora
Quando perdo l'occhio
I giorni passeranno davanti a me
Un ricordo sbiadito di ciò che era
Morte per oblio (fallo)
Criterio mortale (fallo)
Fiamme di disperazione ardenti
Il mio sangue ribolle dentro di me
Morte per oblio (fallo)
Criterio mortale (fallo)
Il demone infuriato interiore sta diventando me
Arrivano giorni di vendetta
Fino al giorno in cui la luce può raggiungere il mio occhio cieco
Perso nella rabbia
Queste cicatrici sono qui per dirmi che sono ancora vivo
Sangue sulle mie mani
Voglio artigliarti e strapparti, fare a pezzi il tuo nome
Muori nelle sabbie
I tuoi peccati non saranno mai cancellati o mondati
another great track. thank you for your great reaction.
Thank you for watching, glad you enjoyed :)
@@akaalexanderking maybe I mentioned it already: I´m glad, that you are a genuine, expertly and passionate reactor with a wide musical horizon, not limited to one or two genres (good music is good music! basta!).and seems to appreciate similar values in music as I do.
Good music is good music. This should be the motto of the channel 😁
You must see from lovebites the epilogue song, it is a beautiful and powerful ballad.
Thanks Samuel, will do :)
"It would stunt her growth poor lass!"
I think she missed the boat on that one.

Masterpiece composition. One of the best.
I also note the nervous The Hammer of Wrath, but for some reason it was removed from the Bites channel, and the recording of the concert leaves much to be desired. Anyway, I recommend listening to "Hammer of Wrath". Awesome thing)

There was a reactor yesterday that did a four-song reaction to Lovebites and he had The Hammer of Wrath and Break the wall on it and his comments were Hammer was Thrash metal 100% and break the wall was mega thrash metal 100% and I have to agree that each and every song si completely different it is own way. here is a link to Hammer of Wrath ua-cam.com/video/vwkaJTyaLQQ/v-deo.html
What can be said that hasn't already been said, every EP and every Album is unique in it's own way and all the song are amazing and epic, it is all perfection at it's finest, the new EP Glory, glory to the World is a new addition to the majesty and magical sounds of Lovebites
They truly are outstanding, what a band 🤘🏻
This concert is maybe the best buy i do this year (yes, you can buy from Japan and have no region restriction) and this for me are really great words because the month before this, y buy the concert in Shibuya from Band Maid.
Well, they have a lot of influences of classical metal, even their song "The Crusader" is an obvious tribute to "Aces High" from Iron Maiden, but they do a modern twist to all this influences.
Metallica, Iron Maiden, and btw Helloween is the favourite band of the drummer Haruna
Anyway also you must think that they are from Japan, and all the japanese metal have a strong influence from X-Japan.
I did not know that, but I'm not surprised. Some of the best audio engineers and metal producers are from the nordics these days 👍🏻
We told you!
No words can prepare for this though 😁
@@akaalexanderking Try The crusade next, a Iron Maiden tribute.

Maidens Queens of Heavy Metal 👑 🤘🏼 🐺
What a band, gets better with every song 🤘🏻
3:30 This actually *is* a hommage to SLAYER, well guessed! 😁 The former bassist Miho (active in this video) wrote it after having visited a SLAYER concert. Miho generally wrote the rather heavy, "thrashy" songs for Lovebites. Heavy Metal is her style of music, and she is an explicit fan of Steve Harris (Iron Maiden). 😊
Not surprised, you can tell they know their 80s Thrash 🤘🏻
Their music style is more related to who compose the song.
All of them can compose songs even the lead singer who doesn't have metal experience until LOVEBITES (2 ballads and Winds Of Transylvania).
Those 2 ballads ( Epilogue : ua-cam.com/video/JGzdspVDZeU/v-deo.html , A FROZEN SERENADE
: ua-cam.com/video/HS6toqnK384/v-deo.html ) are surprisingly good.
Like the Beatles!
She sings very melodiously on a thrash beat. It's fresh.
There is a song like this in the mini album, but it's fierce.
Gonna listen to that now, let's see how it goes!
great review as always, If you have a free time.. you can listen to their new EP, especially the track called "Dystopia Symphony". just Blown away...
I'll try to squeeze in a listening party this weekend, stay tuned ;)
I'm confident it'll be out tomorrow ;)
Yes, this is an opener. Try the song Crusade. Insight/Awaken one of first songs Asami sang with them, they re-recorded this in their studio back in October. Cool to check them out, in everyday dress. Your reactions are so nice. I do the same, get emotional with Lovebites, Band Maid, and Nemophila.
Thanks Bryan, what a way to open a show!

We The United next for about 3 minutes of intense back and forth harmonized solos!
Some Japanese bands. Take your pick: BAND-MAID [All their songs... really!], LOVEBITES [Raise some Hell, and all the other songs], MAXIMUM THE HORMONE [Yoshu Fukushu], CROSSFAITH [Catastrophe], SiM [Killing Me], NINGEN ISU [Heartless Scat], UNLUCKY MORPHEUS [Black Pentagram], YOUSEI TEIKOKU [Astral Dogma], COLDRAIN [Die Tomorrow], CRYSTAL LAKE [The Circle], GIVEN BY THE FLAMES [Ronove], ANGRY FROG REBIRTH [2Step Syndrome], SILENTLY SHOOTING TRAITORS [Manipulate], ALDIOUS [Dominator], BRIDEAR [Light in the Dark], CINQ ELEMENT [Destiny], MARY'S BLOOD [Marionette], GRAUPEL [Bereavement], DOLL$BOXX [Take my Chance] , SOKONINAR [Tenohira De Odoru], HELLO SLEEPWALKERS [Flying Saucer], TELECiDE [Tied up Memories], SPIRITBOX [Belcarra], NEKO [Ghost on a Record], ROTTENGRAFFTY [Hallelujah], DIR EN GREY [Ningen wo Kaburu], X JAPAN [Kurenai], DAZZLE VISION [Second], JUPITER [My Enemy], GALNERYUS [Angel of Salvation], BLOOD STAIN CHILD [Del-Sol], and many more...
I feel someone will point out the canadian band again 😅
And you have to consider that LB aren`t by far the first great japanese all girl-metal-group. Or hardrock. Since show-ya there were several you also have to check out like Destrose, Cyntia, early Bridear, Aldious, Mary`s Blood. All greatly skilled girlbands who write their own songs and play their instruments.
So good to see, especially in a world so heavily male dominated in the western world
You could do a whole series on bands and solo acts that have a connection to Destrose. From their start as Destroya to Saki forming Nemophila. I think it is currently close to 20 bands or solo acts that fed musicians into Destrose took ex-members or formed new bands with ex-members.
That is CRAZY, love how dynamic this scene is

Huh did Thunder Vengeance win the most votes in the last comments? Huh. I thought for sure Epilogue would win. 😝
I still recommend Break the Wall based on what you talk about in your videos. The keyword this time is bluesy, you checked almost every box now. And keep the Gibson in mind!
Thanks Bob, Thunder Vengeance won a poll on Instagram, but for the next one I'll go with the comment section ;)
The "Eagle Fly Free" cover was great for that!
@@akaalexanderking yes, that was sample solo😆 I am talking full blown 5 minute, or more, concert solo.
Next lovebites "under the red sky" pls...
Thanks Arthur, let's see which song gets the most requests 😁
@@akaalexanderking Under the red sky is for sure one of the best ones. And it is one of those that will surprise you, because it is a mix of different genres. I don't see many reactions to it, but it was my favorite song for a long while, until I started leaning more on the Edge of the world... For sure still top 5. Very melodic. And put the CC lyrics on. it is about the nuclear bomb. Imagine mix of: Iron maiden + 1950's black and white musical...
Yes...only in this song (live) i can see miyako smile 😍
《under the red sky》please! I think I have recommended this song many times😂
@@arthurart99 She also gives a big smile when Asami goes to her in "The Crusade" during Midori's solo in live Daughters of the Dawn, check it out!
Thanks for the info Paul, great insights!
Thanks for the info Tim, that seems to be the biggest request so far ;)

Miho Miho Miho! It's not that Haruna can't twirl and show off it just that she picks her moments THAT is what makes her stand out to me, She can show off but doesn't feel the need to overplay it.
That really is crucial. Even better if she also has some show off moments though!
In the Studio Live of The Cover of Heloween's Eagle Fly Free she does a bit of showmanship
What a song that is 🤘🏻
@@akaalexanderking It is such a tune. ua-cam.com/video/0zg-rAefIV0/v-deo.html
I think you need to watch Haruna more if you think she doesnt throw flares with the sticks. In an interview with her she said her favorite songs are the ones that are not so busy and she can have fun with the sticks.
Ahahaha nice. Probably easier to do on the slower ones... Which haven't been that common in the ones I've heard so far 😁
Something I'm not to much like this song, because the song is to short.
I hope solo guitar and solo drummer on this song get more long session.
