Fun fact. The guy with the dreads is a time manipulator in the game universe, which is why he glitches in the video, and is why the beat reverses in that slow part.
@@ShatteredFocusProductions It's pretty clever actually. Most of the characters display some element of their in-game versions but it's fairly subtle. Detailed explanation on all the characters in this video related to their respective lore. Ekko (Black/ The Main Rapper/ Thutmose (verse 1) and DUCKWRTH (verse 3)) A genius kid who was able to create a device with the power to control and rewind time. He uses this power to protect his friends, who are orphans, in the rotten and horrific streets of Zaun (A horrific city located underground under the bright and progressive city of Piltover where magic meets technology). In the game, he is played as an assassin that deals magic damage and has the gimmick of stopping, fast-forwarding, and rewinding time. Qiyana (Latina/ The Rapper of verse 2 (pt 1) and singer of the pre-chorus/ Becky-G) The last daughter to the rulers of an isolated/hidden city-state named "Ixaocan" (just recently revealed in the lore). Arrogant due to her family's lack of consideration for her. Also the most powerful elemental mage in the history of their city-state. The circular ring she was sitting on is actually her weapon. In the game, she is played like an assassin that deals physical damage and has the gimmick of controling the elements of wind, earth, and water to dispatch foes quickly. Senna (Black/ Singer of the chorus/ Keke Palmer) She and her husband (He was named "Lucian") were part of an order of light to dispatch the expansion and corruption of the undead (from the so-called "Shadow Isles"). Both she and her husband had pistols that shot light bullets and cleansed the undead. She was soon killed by a chain warden (His name is "Thresh") from the Shadow Isles and her soul was taken into Thresh's lantern. Lucian took Senna's gun and dual-wielded both of the guns. He was determined to kill Thresh and somehow free Senna's soul from the lantern. After years of imprisonment and after many of the battles between Lucian and Thresh, Lucian was finally able to crack the lantern that Thresh held. Senna was freed from her prison and now joined Lucian in the fight once more. She now possessed both the powers of light and darkness and can become a spectral wraith at will. In-game she plays the role of a ranged support character. She holds a massive cannon which, if you look closely, is the gigantic pillar Senna stands on in the music but is scaled down. Her attacks and spells both heal allies and damage foes. Akali (Asian/ Rapper from verse 2/ Soyeon) She was born into a clan of guardians for their country (Ionia). She was raised to fight and became a prodigy amongst her peers. However, when she grew up a part of the guardians betrayed them (Long story but there is a master of shadows named "Zed" who "betrayed" them and created his own shadow clan). Her master, Shen (who believes in true equilibrium with no love nor hate), did not take action, so she decided to leave and fight for herself without a master. It is said in the lore: "Beware the assassin with no master". In-game she is an assassin who deals magical damage. She is considered a ninja, so she is based on stealth and quick, in-and-out kills. Yasuo (DJ) Born in the same country that Akali was born in, he was a prodigy among his peers in swordsmanship. He was one of the only masters of the wind which allowed him to manipulate wind with his blade (I.E. create tornados with one strike). However, when his home was invaded by the war-like country of Noxus, he was positioned to guard one of the elders. However, believing that his blade could change the fate of the battle, he left his elder to fight amongst the frontlines. Once the battle was over, Yasuo's elder was found dead. His kinsmen falsely believed he was the murderer, and Yasuo ran. Exiled, Yasuo faced many people during his exile, and soon he faced his brother. In self-defense, he easily defeated his brother in combat. Before his brother died, Yasuo pleaded forgiveness with him and asked why his kin thought he was the murderer. His brother responded with: "the elder was killed by a wind technique, no one else would be able to do it but you". After burying his brother in an unmarked grave and with this new information, he set out to find the true murderer of his elder to clear his name. Now he follows the wind, wherever it make take his blade next. In-game he is a hard-to-play, agile swordsman that deals physical damage with the idea of these three aspects: dashing, striking, parrying. In the right hands, he is absolutely terrifying.
Seems he missed the opening ceremony ... (i'm not talking about how they have done, but they did it and brought it to the live action. even though they even didn't had to use some specific tricks and shots to do so, they could have done by live action as well in some points, but ... i'm an event technician and use to do such production before it was cool, but riot had the money, the motivation and way more to loose than our client 3 years before riot "copied" and made it much cooler than we did, probs)
yo, League of Legends's music videos and cinematics all have spectacular animation and cinematography. you really should react to more league stuff, i think you will like almost everything you see... if you haven't already seen
@@ShatteredFocusProductions I'll just list a shit ton As another user said, the 2019 world championship opening ceremony for true damage is amazing, in that opening ceremony are two other songs which are also created for league of legends. Also great. They are included below... Music videos: Phoenix (world championship 2019) Rise (world championship 2018) K/DA Awaken PentaKill: Mortal Reminder Curse of the sad mummy :'( (There's so much more but there's a few) Non music videos that are like mini-movies: Annie: origins Ryze: call to power (I think that's what it's called, you'll find it) A New Dawn Ekko: Seconds (same character as the male rapper I True Damage, but the original version of that character) This can be overwhelming, but I'm this list can be worth to check out, including alot of stuff I didn't mention. But you don't have to react to every single one. I just suggest a few. Thanks mate
The 360 shots at the end was an absolutely massive animation flex. A good animator can go crazy with all kinda of insane effects and shots. A great animator can execute a vision in a cohesive way and use those insane effects and shots in a meaningful and impactful way. But god those 360 shots and their execution hits me HARD.
@@ShatteredFocusProductions you said the beat switch part was hard to do in real life ? I can already tell your reaction to the live version will be very intertaining to watch...○.○
I mean...ALL the videos from LoL/Riot. Be mindful, they're all tie-in songs to different character releases or the like, as opposed to actual game music, but all are...well produced and you can tell they know where their marketing is.
@@ShatteredFocusProductions just look up videos discussing it, there are plenty :) especially on animations such as The Spider-verse movie, Miyazaki's movies, and more. Just any animation that's known to be amazing, even ones known to be horrible, and you learn something from them. Or look up how-to videos :p
The Ekko character is a time manipulator, so his teleportation and rewinding is an homage to his in-game abilities. Similarly, Senna appearing from mist is an homage to her character's roots as well. For an extra bonus, go frame by frame on the part where Ekko is rewinding back to the chorus. They basically illustrated him into each frame during the rewind.
2:53 the smoke effect also is a trait from the video game. Keke represents the in-game champion Senna, one of her abilities is to literally turn into a mist cloud that can also cover her teammates, concealing everyone from the enemy's sight. And that appearance from the smoke is basically the moment when Senna emerges back from the cloud.
9:24 Killer freeze frame! Seeing the Ekko clone pop out into the "real world" is something that I think even T B Skyen missed in his analysis of this MV, and you just landed on it out of nowhere! Lucky!
Don't know if anyone explained it yet, but the reason why there are two singers for the same character is that the character has a shadow of him that follows him and is his after image doing what he did several seconds earlier. That flat colored scene is his after image doing the singing and than rewinds time to much earlier in the song.
Just to add to some of your comments, the glitch effect is a part of the main rappers champion kit in the game. He's known for stopping and rewinding time lorewise! The ring girl uses the ring as her weapon ingame. The smoke girl had been locked into a soul lantern for a very long time with ghosts and souls, which is also a part of her kit to temporarily transform.
i will just leave a sub here in case you react to more league of legends music. great reaction and talk about the animation man. its amazing that you took so much time to take a closer look even tho you dont have that much to do with league. btw when you said that you didnt see music videos being animation this well i just hoped to see your reaction on K/DA POP/STARS or Awaken which are also made for league of legends. and also btw you said like there where not too many overlaps with the animation and the lyrics but there actually a lot that you couldnt catch because you dont have to connection to the game. what i want to say with that is just that they really put hard work into those videos and it really pays off
The location ekko sings (first singer) is actually kinda distorted. If you look closely you will see that e.g. the stairs are upside down in the background. The last part is sung by ekkos after image. This is a reference to his abilities Ingame where he has an after image from him 5 secs before where he can travel to (heals him for the damage he took, does dmg, can be used to escape etc.) it’s kinda cool they gave it an own part and singer
Dude your reaction was awesome. One of the very few I stuck all of the way through. You've very insightful, but you also just have something about you that makes me wanna keep listening to what you say. You do what you do very well!
@@ShatteredFocusProductions I enjoyed listening to you very much, so much that it bummed me when you would speak along with the video and I couldnt hear your voice.
Thanks to you I noticed for the 1st time after watching this video like 50 times that wheb Ekko reverses time at the end, he appears in all the scenes in his reverse-color form. Mind Blown.
The company that produced this, Riot Games, has a notable history of making very good music, and If you want to see some more things they've made I would recommend checking out the League of Legends youtube channel as that's where all of them are posted (This video was posted on that channel) and the style isn't always the same, they have one song that's basically a mix of a lullaby and a folktale (The Curse of the Sad Mummy), and 3 albums of a metal band they made out of some of the characters (Pentakill), not to mention some of the more recent stuff such as K/DA-Popstars, and this video
I love watching reaction videos from people talking about aspects that they actually understand. Subscribed for reactions to the rest of the League content, you have received more than enough of their videos as recommendations from other people already xD I'd also recommend checking out the live performance of this, where the actual singers performed at the World Final Opening Ceremony and where they also used Augmented Reality. Apart from that, there is a miniseries (about 5 min in total) that a guy made that is Warhammer 40k based. It's called Astartes (and so is his channel). I'd love to see a reaction to that from you looking at specifically how the creator set up the scenes. The videos are above incredibly well done as well, it being made by a single person, but having the graphics more that comparable to high budget films while also being incredibly accurate to the expansive lore of the 40k universe (and trust me, its expansive). Either way, looking forward to more reactions!
about the ring the charecter in the ring uses a ring like weapon and the ring she is in is actually her weapon in this skinline (the music video was created to promote the true damage skins that came out)
Girl sitting on the ring use that ring as a weapon in the game, and other girl rising from smoke/mist has that ability in the game The lead of this group (In-game name is Ekko), he's all about reverse/double-takes/rewind/reset. He's very much about time, so they're messing with the time signatures whenever he starts going off in the song, and it fits UNBELIEVABLY well with this as a lore/character/music blend. :)
i really like the giants video so much! that i wanna keep on listening and watching it through all the people who react to it :P so give them all love and support!
Also just wanted to mention the glitch effect is so prominent because its what this character is based on the rapper ekko ingame he can rewind time and teleport back so the teleporting glitch effect is very fitting for him
So I'm assuming this was your first time with anything League of Legends. I click on your channel and I see in the past 2 years you have gone on the deep dive into league! Excited to watch those videos now!
not sure if you saw it, but after they gliched, and said they "are out of this world" the background behind them stopped being just animated to look like live, but they actually took real shots from Paris, to create that feeling like they actually landed in Paris for Worlds 2019.
ANNIE:Origins is a masterpiece.. It's almost like a short movie.. It focuses on one character, Annie. She has tibbers-a pyrokinetic, shapeshifting teddybear- that was given to her by her now dead mother who was a witch to protect her.. It's the story of her becoming Annie and her family dynamic with her step mother, step sister and her biological father... You should definitly give it a go.
I am very happy that someone will notice the description of the 11:37 effect of the 360 camera. The director ’s lens in front also has color, and the level of music is also described. From the perspective of film and television works. Sorry for my poor english, i don't know if i understand. I also engage in film related skills.
I really recommend you to watch Me! Me! Me! It's a kinda NSFW anime MV and really encapsulates that "over the top" thing that's often in anime MVs. The message behind the song and weird MV is actually pretty sad and I'd love to hear what your first reaction and guess would be, what that song and video could be about!
great reaction ! check out Awaken (ft. Valerie Broussard) | Season 2019 Cinematic - League of Legends it is mind blowing ! oh and there is a live action of this if you want check it out, they do all that teleportation stuff with augmented reality even for the last part and with the real singers !
As many people already said there's a lot more than meets the eye in terms of lore details and stuff like that Make sure to check the other stuff they put out And they played this song live at the 2019 Worlds Championship Final Opening Ceremony with holograms and stuff, shit was crazy
some insight on the characters. Dj is a wind samurai. and he is keeping it turning.(whirlwind) rapper is a time jumper. always leaving clones/trails of his past selfs. running back and in again. same way he fights. Diva is a Princess of a ancient kingdom. and acts like a pop princess aka Diva. Mist girl. her soul was recently released from her cage. and she is literally wide awake now. Korean girl. is a ninja. very Asian.... small chances but could be interpreted like they are dissing her old group K/DA a Korean Idol girl group. the thing i like about Riot`s method of cosmetic is, they put a story behind the skins. making them essentially another character.
This reaction is probably the best reaction compare to others, It feels great to see you make this. Others reaction they only say "WOW !!" or "OMG". more reaction to other league of legends cinematic. :)
I love League of Legends music videos, cinematics and live perfomances. They always bring something unique. You need to check the live perfomance. They used holo-projection.
fun fact. before ekko's second verse you can see the giant fan behind yasuo going from left to right..but when yasuo uses his sword to manipulate the air the fan is now going from right to left..which also compliments ekko's ability because i think the fan represents time for ekko so when the fan starts to run from right to left it looks like the time is rewinding...
You may have not noticed it since at the time you had no connection or knowledge to the game, but at the end of the third verse, Ekko doen't only make a "hand transistion", he's actually rewinding the time to go back to the chorus, this is why you can see him glitching in and out of other singers' scenes, he's already explored those timelines. I just find it amazing the amount of details they've put in this animated video, when you know the game, it's just a whole lot of reference to the game, its lore and community memes. Also if you're wondering why does Ekko has two verses, and two different singers, it's because in the game, he is constantly followed by his "past self" (a sort of clone that follows your movements on the map, with a few seconds delay).
Honestly, I've seen music producers react to this and POPSTARS music video, and honestly since you're a smaller UA-camr and can respond to people's comments (sorry if that sounds rude), reading your responses to people it seems like you are genuinely interested in some of the backstory of League and more of their content. Which is really nice to see. The other people who made reaction videos seem like they just do it for views then leave it at that, granted they're bigger channels but they react and say "Oh yeah it's good," without any interest beyond that, it's just about views. But like I said, it seems like you actually care to learn more about the game/productions and stuff that Riot puts out and I respect that and now I want to sub. :P
Rhialia I really appreciate your comment🙏 I’m glad you enjoyed the video and your right in saying i’m interested🤠I’m a sucker when it comes to good story and expansive lore!
The opening ceremony for worlds 2019 has a live version with the halonet to integrate the video with the actual singers. Kda has the same animated live combo from 2018
Also that ring that the girl is sitting on in the begging of the video that you commented on thats her weapon XD ingame she can sortof absorb one of 4 elements from enviorments around the map once her weapon is embued with an element it will have diffrent effects for example if she uses her weapon on a bush she will gain bush element and she can lay down a small area infornt of her where she will be invisible for a few seconds very interesting chaarcter and a nice touch
Just thinking about how many people must've worked on this! Concept Artists, Animators, Sound Editors, Design and Video-Editors, Storyboard Artists and maybe even more! Sure some of them might've done multiple things, but that would've taken up a shit ton of time so the respect is there no matter what o-o
Actually the guy singing is Ekko and those flickering effects on that scene is maybe based on his skills on League of Legends. It is like going back in the scenery or time where he's at on the last minute or two and then flickers to that scenery after taking damage so just to make sure that he won't die.
The guy with dreads is Ekko. He's called "The boy who shattered time." in the game. He manipulates time and he has DUCKWRTH and Thutmose as his voices because he can also make clones of himself. This is why there's like 15 of him in one scene and why he and everything else is all glitchy
Hey so I just want to point out that no one ever talks about how the DJ in the music video casually swings his sword and REVERSES A FAN PRETTY MUCH GOING FULL SPEED ENOUGH TO PROBABLY DESTROY THE MOTOR OF SAID FAN!!!!
You'll gain a lot of followers if you give reactions like this to other League of legends performances and cinematics. There's a treasure trove of at least twenty main videos like this, and at least sixty or seventy other amazing videos they've produced. I really hope you follow League.
Scott Osborne I’m thinking I just might🤠I’m not trying to be just a reaction channel but since these are music videos I think it falls in my area so I’ll make a series out of this!
In the last part with ekko, if you slow down the video after the rap you can see him in every frame rewinding because in game one of his abilities is being able to rewind
I don't really know anything about videography, but just something interesting. During Senna's intro (2:10) , the camera cuts in and out as the smoke is forming, in the last frame Senna disappears from the scene, but enters in again when she starts singing. This is pretty true to her character in game, where she can take on a ghost form. I think it's a good thematic way to bring in a character that is literally a spooky scary ghost. I don't really know how to express this idea clearly, sorry, I hope that gets the point across. I wanted to share it because Riot will do a lot of these touches--where a technical or artistic choice was made because it suits the character involved--if you pay attention. It makes sense, since it's a very character-heavy game; everyone who is playable has a unique, individual identity. Other cool facts I guess: Ekko (rapper with X on face) can travel through time, so a lot of his choreography is meant to be a bit strange to represent this. He pops up in odd angles all over the place, and the scene where the art style change is him turning back time. Qiyana (pink) has a weapon in game that is a bladed hoop, which you see her spinning around in. More of a game fact, but she got a "Prestige" skin in-game in addition to the skin from this line. It is a Louie Vutton outfit. (5:54) The character herself is royalty in canon, so it makes sense for her to get a second skin, which is more expensive than the original one, in an expensive clothing brand. Akali (blonde korean rapper): This character is in K/DA, where she is also in a subway. The subway scene calls back to this. (I feel like the lighting itself is also a reference, since the previous video had a neon aesthetic, but the choice to set it in a dark room + have the light source be different keeps it unique.) She was really, _really_ popular for her rapping, so her transition where she takes the camera by hand and focuses on herself suits a character who is so popular. She does a very similar transition into said rap verse in POP/STARS. Yasuo (DJ katana man): the transition where he cuts with his katana is because, well, he has one. He's a wise swordsman mentor figure in canon. If you watch the live performance of this song, he sends out a tornado, which he can do in-game. There are plenty more which I skipped or missed (I didn't realize Senna's transition until I watched this, just now, 3 months late to the punch) but I just wanted to comment. Because, these reaction videos are still cool to me, a fan, months later, because people with different perspectives or expertise will point out things I never noticed, even being a fan who is active in the game's community. The more I learn, the more I really appreciate the thought that goes into these high-budget productions put out!
It could be shot in live action, true. Except the second part you think can't be shot in live action can also be done I think. In fact the live performance of the song actually did this to a great extent using holograms. Try watching it, the live performance for this music video actually had such a remarkable use of Holograms. that it blew my mind.
I don't know if anybody has requested a but you should react to the live performance that they did for the song it's also something I think a videographer should look at it's pretty great performance in the way they incorporate the characters into the performance makes it even more worthwhile to watch
Cleocyde i agree in that regard however the argument can be made that an editing team can just composite the turbines moving in post and the crew could just film multiple stills with no talents in the shot.
@@ShatteredFocusProductions yeah true, I was thinking about CGI turbines too, if we could do this irl without danger tho I would love to see that/ even do it myself. would look so cool
you might like to hear, that riot games leaked that they work on a anime series. what means we will be appericiated, with a lot of good similar animation work in future. btw i apperiate your reaction thanks man
"This should become a group" It's not certain right now what's gonna happen with True Damage because all of these artists have their own careers but IIRC Riot would like to continue this as a group if it's possible, I'm pretty sure that's what they said
@Shattered Focus Productions, you should react to the live performance of their worlds 2019 opening ceremony (league of legends). Also they have more than 1 a year and they do have multiple groups. Pentakill, K/DA, True Damage. I recommend just looking up their "music videos".
Each character have lore... and if i remember it clearly the "glitchy guy" has some weapon or device that make him go back in time, or he have some probl3m like giltching through time.
You can react to any Riot Games (the developers of League of Legends) music video and it's really really good lyrically (is that even a word?) and the videos are phenomenal as well. I recommend Rise, Popstars, Awaken. There are also many others but you should definitely check these. By the way, the name of the group, True Damage, is the name of the group of skins in the game itself. Also, as many of other people here said already, they chose Paris because the Worlds Championship was there. The character that first started rapping has an ability to manipulate time, that's why he's glitching around and why the song, or the clip rather, reverses at the end of the "black geometrical" part. These guys really put a lot of attention to detail. Cool video!
@@ShatteredFocusProductions I posted on the kda video but have it here as well in case you didnt see it. if you really want to learn about the universe/story: ua-cam.com/video/o7xsUZF_JNQ/v-deo.html He will prolly upload for true damage too when we get more info
Would you check out a video called "Lullaby for a Princess" by Warpout. It took the guy 2.5 years to hand draw the animation. It tells a story of 2 sisters who fight because the younger one is jealous of the older one and becomes evil. Even tho the older sister loves her younger sister she if forced to banish her to the moon for 1000years. Its also a song but go into it with an open mind
2:20 Do you see the stage she is on? Is her weapon in the game. 3:51 Here's QiQi leagueoflegends.fandom.com/wiki/QiQi_(Teamfight_Tactics) During development it was known as Qiyana's Dog. Qiyana is the one that ''sing'' that part. 3:49 On the question and answer platform, a user of the service questioned the developer about Riot Games' stance regarding the word GG EZ, generally used at the end of a game by the winning team to communicate the following to the opponents: “Good game, not really. You suck as a player. " And Qiyana represents it as a drug.
I will say that it's very difficult to appreciate the little details riot puts in if you haven't played the game. For example, the first rapper, Ekko, has the ability to manipulate time, so his teleporting around is actually a feature in the game. Also, the girl who sings in Spanish (Qiyana) uses that lyra (the hoop) as her main weapon. The woman with the dreads (Senna) came from the black mist and Yasuo manipulates the wind which is symbolized in the giant fan.
I LOVED IT I thought riot team did a fantastic job. I'd love to see a reaction from an actual LOL player though, coz I feel like "outsiders" don't really "see" or understand the full level of creativity that goes into making these because they are missing the back story or the lor. With that said I loved this reaction it made me laugh at how many times he pretty much rewind the video to explain and simply coz he loved it haha I see you.(can't get enough) Ekko killed it in this music video. I loved how Yasuo used his 'Tornado' to reverse the spin of the mill which also played on Ekko's ultimate 'Chronobreak' with the running man scene WOW so creative and SORRY but am I the only one who feels like the music video low key suits Yasuo's play style to a T and Ekko (obviously) when it comes to EGO lol. Riot really utilized the champions' game skills to make great effects and transitions in their music videos and I have to say... it gets me hyped EVERYTIME.
Waitin for Awaken reaction, best animated video Riot has done by far. Maybe they do a better one for the next season (starts 14/Jan, so in a month we can see a thing)
Fun fact. The guy with the dreads is a time manipulator in the game universe, which is why he glitches in the video, and is why the beat reverses in that slow part.
Henrik Olsen dope! I’ll love in depth this video is with the games lore🤠 that attention to detail is part of why I find this video incredible🤟
@@ShatteredFocusProductions It's pretty clever actually. Most of the characters display some element of their in-game versions but it's fairly subtle. Hoop girl is an Aztec-style princess with a glaive, and white-haired korean girl is a ninja, though she doesn't really show it off this time.

Detailed explanation on all the characters in this video related to their respective lore.
Ekko (Black/ The Main Rapper/ Thutmose (verse 1) and DUCKWRTH (verse 3))
A genius kid who was able to create a device with the power to control and rewind time.
Qiyana (Latina/ The Rapper of verse 2 (pt 1) and singer of the pre-chorus/ Becky-G)
The last daughter to the rulers of an isolated/hidden city-state named "Ixaocan" (just recently revealed in the lore).
Senna (Black/ Singer of the chorus/ Keke Palmer)
She and her husband (He was named "Lucian") were part of an order of light to dispatch the expansion and corruption of the undead (from the so-called "Shadow Isles").
Akali (Asian/ Rapper from verse 2/ Soyeon)
She was born into a clan of guardians for their country (Ionia).
Yasuo (DJ)
Born in the same country that Akali was born in, he was a prodigy among his peers in swordsmanship.
Yuna Love64 This is perfect! Thank you so much for this🤠 now I can understand these characters a bit better!
So, here's the deal. Ekko is really strong right now, Qiyana is stupid, Senna is somehow even more stupid, Akali is also stupid, and Yasuo is jesus.
Huh. I thought Senna was on a big sword the whole time.
@@magicianwizard4294 depends on who plays him. Everyone I've played with were trolls.
@@tonypeppermint5329 it did look like a sword in the video but the designs and all gave it away that it was her canon/gun.

"the only thing in live action that would be difficult would be teleporting around"
Riot: Hold my beer
Hold my time bomb
Thanks for the advice! I'll be sure to react to some more league videos. Do you have any recommendations?
@@ShatteredFocusProductions The other music video that really blew up was "Pop Stars" by K/DA, another music group in riot
@@ShatteredFocusProductions I'll just list a shit ton
As another user said, the 2019 world championship opening ceremony for true damage is amazing, in that opening ceremony are two other songs which are also created for league of legends. Also great. They are included below...
Music videos:
Phoenix (world championship 2019)
Rise (world championship 2018)
K/DA
Awaken
PentaKill: Mortal Reminder
Curse of the sad mummy :'(
(There's so much more but there's a few)
Non music videos that are like mini-movies:
Annie: origins
Ryze: call to power (I think that's what it's called, you'll find it)
A New Dawn
Ekko: Seconds (same character as the male rapper I True Damage, but the original version of that character)
This can be overwhelming, but I'm this list can be worth to check out, including alot of stuff I didn't mention. But you don't have to react to every single one. I just suggest a few. Thanks mate
Eric Cho Cool👀I’ll check it out🤠
The Funky Chicken WOW! I’ll start looking through them🤠
The 360 shots at the end was an absolutely massive animation flex. A good animator can go crazy with all kinda of insane effects and shots. A great animator can execute a vision in a cohesive way and use those insane effects and shots in a meaningful and impactful way. But god those 360 shots and their execution hits me HARD.

Amora Neke Lukisan I need to learn more about animation tbh😅
They basically illustrated him into each frame during the rewind.
jaesaces I noticed that after the fact but holy crap was that a cool touch🤠
2:53 the smoke effect also is a trait from the video game. Keke represents the in-game champion Senna, one of her abilities is to literally turn into a mist cloud that can also cover her teammates, concealing everyone from the enemy's sight. And that appearance from the smoke is basically the moment when Senna emerges back from the cloud.
QueenMuser Thats dope🤠 appreciate ya sharing the lore🙏
9:24 Killer freeze frame! Seeing the Ekko clone pop out into the "real world" is something that I think even T B Skyen missed in his analysis of this MV, and you just landed on it out of nowhere! Lucky!
Also, yes her rising from the smoke is a part of the character. Gotta love Senna.

Don't know if anyone explained it yet, but the reason why there are two singers for the same character is that the character has a shadow of him that follows him and is his after image doing what he did several seconds earlier. That flat colored scene is his after image doing the singing and than rewinds time to much earlier in the song.
Mira SC Thats a neat touch🤠
6:33 the moment when his mind blow at point where he not even want to pause the video
Random VD yep😂
3:11 That Ring you were talking about there is actually her Weapon.
I know! What a cool touch!
You'll love the live version! They did crazy things with projections on a screen in front of the performers.
Ryan Larkin Really? That sounds dope👀 I’ll be checking it out soon🤠
TheRezyn appreciate the knowledge🙏🤠
So you are telling me yasuo`s kit is *tpose*

i will just leave a sub here in case you react to more league of legends music. great reaction and talk about the animation man. its amazing that you took so much time to take a closer look even tho you dont have that much to do with league.
btw when you said that you didnt see music videos being animation this well i just hoped to see your reaction on K/DA POP/STARS or Awaken which are also made for league of legends.
and also btw you said like there where not too many overlaps with the animation and the lyrics but there actually a lot that you couldnt catch because you dont have to connection to the game. what i want to say with that is just that they really put hard work into those videos and it really pays off

Toxicmute I’ll for sure check it out🤠Appreciate the tip!
Either way, looking forward to more reactions!

about the ring the charecter in the ring uses a ring like weapon and the ring she is in is actually her weapon in this skinline (the music video was created to promote the true damage skins that came out)
Did you notice that when Ekko (male rapper) did the time rewind on his last verse there was a blue streak? That was him moving through the scenes.
Fiddler07 oh! Thats a cool detail🤠 thanks for pointing that out!
Yeah it is. If you pause it at certain times, you can see him posing
Girl sitting on the ring use that ring as a weapon in the game, and other girl rising from smoke/mist has that ability in the game
The lead of this group (In-game name is Ekko), he's all about reverse/double-takes/rewind/reset.
He's very much about time, so they're messing with the time signatures whenever he starts going off in the song, and it fits UNBELIEVABLY well with this as a lore/character/music blend. :)
I’m still amazed by the amount of detail that went into this video😳
i really like the giants video so much! that i wanna keep on listening and watching it through all the people who react to it :P so give them all love and support!
ArekuSenpai 💯
Piotr Kuźniarski I noticed it after watching it a few times! I’m still amazed at the crazy amount of detail and love that went into this video🤠
Did you notice the Louis Vuitton Qiyana at the one time she was singing. In her chair. Pretty cool they got a sponsorship with them

ANNIE:Origins is a masterpiece.. It's almost like a short movie.. It focuses on one character, Annie. She has tibbers-a pyrokinetic, shapeshifting teddybear- that was given to her by her now dead mother who was a witch to protect her.. Dj is a wind samurai. and he is keeping it turning.(whirlwind)
rapper is a time jumper. always leaving clones/trails of his past selfs. running back and in again. same way he fights.

It's nice to see how they transitioned from realism to abstract when talking of time, and the transition came both visually and musically.

fun fact. before ekko's second verse you can see the giant fan behind yasuo going from left to right..but when yasuo uses his sword to manipulate the air the fan is now going from right to left..which also compliments ekko's ability because i think the fan represents time for ekko so when the fan starts to run from right to left it looks like the time is rewinding...
I wanted to recommend also "Awaken." It is a lol-related song and has more realistic elements (such as the fibre of the clothes and so on)
Dan Manoban I’ll put it on the list🤠
its has been a year now, and after watching it back, its about the creativity more than there visual
There was so many information on comment, so I just want to say nice reaction video bro. HERE IS LIKE FROM INDONESIAN 🇮🇩 LEAGUE OF LEGENDS FANS.
MUHAMAD VANADIS Appreciate ya🤠 glad you enjoyed the video!
I was wondering about the two singers but that explains it and its another cool detail!

Check the ceremony, that thing was crazy as hell!
Ahri planning on it🤠
Just thinking about how many people must've worked on this!

He FELT that transition, his eyes CHANGED
In the last part with ekko, if you slow down the video after the rap you can see him in every frame rewinding because in game one of his abilities is being able to rewind
The cool thing about the video is that every frame of the video is hand drawn. So the glitch effect hasn't been that easy since its hand drawn. :)
@shatteredfocusproduction, waiting for the reaction to the live one.
Maish Hussain few more days🤠
Other cool facts I guess:
Ekko (rapper with X on face) can travel through time, so a lot of his choreography is meant to be a bit strange to represent this.
Raj I will check it out for sure! Also I do think it could be shot but it would be tedious to do so
I don't know if anybody has requested a but you should react to the live performance that they did for the song it's also something I think a videographer should look at it's pretty great performance in the way they incorporate the characters into the performance makes it even more worthwhile to watch
Martian Seraph I’ll check it put today🤠
@@ShatteredFocusProductions can't wait to see the vid I jus subscribed and i like the format you use keep up the good work
I dont think the turbine thing would be doable in live-action
I mean the blades could litterally suck you up and cut you in pieces
quite dangerous imo
Cleocyde i agree in that regard however the argument can be made that an editing team can just composite the turbines moving in post and the crew could just film multiple stills with no talents in the shot.
@@ShatteredFocusProductions yeah true, I was thinking about CGI turbines too, if we could do this irl without danger tho I would love to see that/ even do it myself. would look so cool
Cleocyde yea I’d need to find a client with that kind of budget first😂
There are many movies with moving turbines blade so I guess it's not hard
Oh if you’re looking for a live action, they did a live performance :) You should check it out if you havent.
Gene Genesis yep just did last night🤠 video will be up in a few days!
Ah my girl Soyeon as Akali is perfect. You should do POPSTARS by KDA next!!
Patricia Riglos I will🤠
you might like to hear, that riot games leaked that they work on a anime series.
what means we will be appericiated, with a lot of good similar animation work in future.
btw i apperiate your reaction thanks man
Maik M. That sounds dope also thank you for the comment! I’m glad you liked the video🤠
"This should become a group"
It's not certain right now what's gonna happen with True Damage because all of these artists have their own careers but IIRC Riot would like to continue this as a group if it's possible, I'm pretty sure that's what they said
Bartek that would be amazing🤠 I would love to see more of this🤟
@Shattered Focus Productions, you should react to the live performance of their worlds 2019 opening ceremony (league of legends). Also they have more than 1 a year and they do have multiple groups. Pentakill, K/DA, True Damage. I recommend just looking up their "music videos".
and K/DA is up now ua-cam.com/video/5ZQdxjbflc4/v-deo.html
Each character have lore... and if i remember it clearly the "glitchy guy" has some weapon or device that make him go back in time, or he have some probl3m like giltching through time.
True damage-Giants (ft Becky g, Keke palmer and SOYEON) MEN, SOYEON IS THE BLONDE GIRL
SER96MC 10-4🤠
He's going to freak when he sees the irl performance lmao
C o t t o n S k i e s I did🤠 video will be up soon!
Cool video!
I just posted the K/DA one! I'll for sure check out the rest and get them up for y'all!
@@ShatteredFocusProductions Thanks man. I just came home from school, I'm going to watch it now
They actually plan on making an album with them (and kda)(they are rival)
Nikolas Ioakimidis Thats dope🤠
@@ShatteredFocusProductions I posted on the kda video but have it here as well in case you didnt see it.
if you really want to learn about the universe/story: ua-cam.com/video/o7xsUZF_JNQ/v-deo.html
He will prolly upload for true damage too when we get more info
Would you check out a video called "Lullaby for a Princess" by Warpout. It took the guy 2.5 years to hand draw the animation. It tells a story of 2 sisters who fight because the younger one is jealous of the older one and becomes evil. Even tho the older sister loves her younger sister she if forced to banish her to the moon for 1000years. Its also a song but go into it with an open mind
ZingZing's Channel I’ll be sure to check it out🤠sounds like it’s very narrative driven so I’ll enjoy it!
That glitch effect is actually its power
With that said I loved this reaction it made me laugh at how many times he pretty much rewind the video to explain and simply coz he loved it haha I see you.(can't get enough)
Ekko killed it in this music video.
Cassi Glad you enjoyed the video🤠 I’m actually learning a lot of the lore now from y’all so i’ll be more well informed in future videos!
Waitin for Awaken reaction, best animated video Riot has done by far.
Maybe they do a better one for the next season (starts 14/Jan, so in a month we can see a thing)
I'll be recording that soon!
