The guy on the lead guitar is Chris Chatham. Tim sang with him in Blue Jupiter. They are long time friends. The guy on bass guitar is Chris Marion, Tim’s brother-in-law
Chris Chatham is an incredible arranger. He not only did arrangements for Blue Jupiter and Home Free, but also for many others. What immediately comes to my mind are the arrangement of "Are you ready for a miracle" on Chris Rupp's channel and an incredible arrangement for Ali Spagnola's recent K-Pop cover of "We don't talk about Bruno".
I love Chris Chatham ! He’s amazing
He also plays guitar on home free's wonderfull tune "So long dixie". One of my perosnal favorits from them.
Did not know the Marion connection - as Time is not near Austin's backyard (Texas / Georgia) ... so I assumed he would be a friend of Austin's - perhaps that of Sebastian's ! Thanks, jj
If I had voices like these gents, I wouldn’t do anything but sing all day every day. And the guitar player was excellent not just as a singer, he played extraordinarily too.
Hello Maria! Your daughter is doing a wonderful job on these reactions! 😁
I love the way they sing with their hands and they watch each other. Such professionals!
If I had a voice even close to Tim's, no one could shut me up. He's having a blast.
Throws me every time to hear Tim's speaking voice after he's been singing so high. 🤣
Hello, Maria! Tell your daughter to react to "Helplessly Hoping" by Home Free. The cords and harmonies will blow her and you away. Great reaction Jennifer.
The same day that this was recorded, Austin also recorded "Signed Sealed Delivered" with Chris, Sebastien and Tim's wife Jenika. It's an absolute humdinger and well worth checking out.
I don't suppose you'd want to react to a song without visuals, but you might be interested in Austin's version of "Empty House", a song that was sent to him and produced in the most incredible arrangement by Sebastien. It clearly shows that Austin's real talent is in soul and blues. It's a difficult song, needing great agility and feeling at the same time, but packs a tremendous punch in a powerhouse performance. Even the composer him/herself, ResurrecSis, admits to being rather shaken by what the guys achieved!
I really loved this performance by Tim & Austin & the other guys. Liked Austin singing in his lower register. I don't think I have ever heard Tim sound so clear & crisp in his upper falsetto range. Who would ever believe that he is a natural bass who can drop down into the basement depths. Wouldn't it be cool to have these guys perform for you at home.
It’s just so amazing!! 😊
A keg and a grill on the deck with the boys doing their thing 🎶🎤🍻🥩
Let's hear it for the Bass, man!
@@JenniferGlatzhofer I know you are taking today off for the Queen 🥰🥰
I'm sure you have gotten a ton of messages but I hope you can get to the Duet that Austin Brown and Rob Lundquist dropped on Saturday. They sang Nessun Dorma. Just remember to breath a few tunes before the end and you might need some tissues
Lord yes!!!
Hey Miss Jennifer, thanks for covering this collab by the guys. It's been a favorite song of mine since BW Stevenson sang it in 1973 !!! Loved it then, loved the Brooks & Dunn cover in 1995 and love this cover now....such a catchy tune and boy does Tim go off and show off !!!! Hey Maria ! Your daughter is dang awesome !!!
Love the BW Stevenson original. This is right up there.
Austin, Tim and Chris Chatham sang this sing so well. Sébastien and Tim's brother in law were great with their music. Chris has been a great friend singer and song writer with Tim for a very long time. Thanki you for a great reaction. Tell your mom (Maria) that she is a lucky lady to hear these gentlemen sing her a sweet song.
Hi Maria!!! Your daughter is fantastic.
I can’t count how many times I’ve listened to them sing this song. I love everything about it. It makes me happy.
Discovering people like Tim Foust is what made me work on my upper range. I've been relegated to the depths of bass since I was about 14... but through studying Tim Foust and Geoff Castellucci, I found I can sing both higher and lower than I ever thought possible; B0-C6.
Tim's friend, Chris, is a singer, songwriter, arrager, and has produced Tim''s Do All album. He also plays all striinged instruments, including mandolin. Very talented!
I'm older enough than Tim to associate this with BW Stephenson. The excellent county duo of Brooks and Dunn covered it and now we have another amazing version. Thanks for breaking this down. For a change of pace, please check out The Longest John's version of Hard Times Come Again No More.
Maria, your daughter is killing it. Oh, and Hi. 🙂
Love when Tim talks everyone gets giggly.
I love the way you "nerd out" over vocals.
Ahah thanks!
It's just fantastic to see how Tim can switch his vocal range from bass to tenor. A year ago I couldn't have imagined Tim singing higher in a song than Austin - LOL :-) Austin sings great as always, but Chris has a wonderful voice too. The video is amazing. I like your detailed reaction, thanks!
Hi, Mama Maria!
Jennifer, there are plenty of YT reactors we can watch just for the entertainment value, similar to sharing a look of amazement with a random person sitting next to us in a theater. But the reason I keep coming back to your channel is for the analysis -- articulating *how* the performers are doing the amazing stuff they're doing, explaining why each part contributes to the whole to make it an awesome experience for us mere mortals. And yeah, the fangirl moments, too. :-) I expect you to pause the video so you can teach us. If people don't like the pauses, they can click on the link to go watch the original video.
Every time VoicePlay, Home Free, or any of their members have a new release, I look for your reaction. Tim and Austin have so much fun together. Have you seen the intros at a concert, where Austin describes Tim as "one of the best basses ... in Home Free."
Adam Chance, HF's baritone/bass, just released two songs he did in collaboration with The Hound & The Fox -- Wayfaring Stranger and Sound of Silence. They're both lovely, and we get to hear Chance play guitar as well as sing lead.
Thank you so much!!! I enjoy reacting to their releases!
I sang this song competitively 50 yrs ago, as a freshman in HS. My HS music teacher went to HS with B.W. Stephenson, who sang this song, as well as Shambala, another song in B,W.'s catalog. I placed 3rd with two friends in acapella trio. We only practiced with piano accompaniment, would have loved to have had a guitar.
Yes...you must watch Signed Sealed Delivered. A big hello to Maria... you raised a great daughter!
I really love your excitement and enthusiasm, I am a big fan of Home Free, your analysis is a cherry on top!!!!! Hi Maria!
I love how differently Austin and Tim approach the song. Two unique styles yet completely in sync with each other.
My favorite music reactions/analysis are when the host, like Jennifer Glatzhofer, becomes an enthusiastic fan. What good is it if experts don't get excited when things are done well? Well done again, Jennifer.
Thank you! Definitely a fan haha!
You have already met Chris Chatham. He was in the previous video running the boards in the recording studio with Tim in the previous video you reacted to.
Ms. Maria, we Home Fries love and enjoy Jennifer covering and reacting to different videos. You have a special young lady there.
I really enjoy watching your reactions and learning from your analysis. This video impressed me as well because it wasn't cut in a studio, but just live in a backyard bash.
Yes! Amazing 😁
Now that you've analyzed Tim and Austin's work, how about some of Chance's work. He shows a strong liking for contemporary folk in his collaborations with The Hound and the Fox(Reilly and Mckenzie Zamber) in their renditions of "Hurt", "My Mother Told Me", "Wellerman's Song" "Sound of Silence" and, especially "Wayfaring Stranger"(super good). You can also check out his original "Song for Home" and his cover of Blaze Foley's "If I could only fly"on his channel. I love all these guys whether they're singing together or solo(ish). I haven't seen you have this much fun in a reaction since "Go Tell it on the Mountain". You're smiling as much as they are....
Wouldn't it be a blast to have a BBQ on Austin's deck, and have them just start singing. That would be pretty cool.
As always Jennifer, a great reaction. Thank you.
Love from Florida.
Pretty cool indeed! Thank you 😊
I would be blown away, not to mention thrilled out of my mind!!! I think I’ve decided if I ever get married, I want to try to get Austin & Tim to come and perform for my reception! Forget all the extra costs pple. pay for at weddings & gifts. I just want them to sing! I’d feed them, put them up, & invite them to just have fun & have a blast with everyone. Lol #HomeFryForLife 💓💓💓
I knew you would enjoy this one! I watch this video every so often as it’s just enjoyable all the way around. Tight harmonies, the accompanists are incredible, Tim can do anything with his voice and it’s cool to hear Austin’s lower range as well. The original version is from my youth and lastly, the setting, insect sounds included, feels like home to me.
Hi Maria! As a mom of three adult children myself, I know you must be proud of Jennifer. It has to be fun for you to watch her enjoyment of and interest in music and the voice bring joy and interest to others as well. (Just between you and me, she also does quite a good job of teaching. 🤫)
This was fun to watch, Jennifer. 😉 Great job. ❤️
Very much so! I love how chilled they all are and just enjoying singing some great music and tight harmonies! Thank you so much ❤️
Chris Chatham is one of Tim's friends for a longtime. He usually is playing guitar when Tim's sings requests for people. Sebastian plays for Austin on his page. And the other guy is Chris Marion Tim's brother-in-law. Always enjoy your reactions and the knowledge that you give us.
If you watch the video of Stay the sound engineer looks like it could be Chris.
@@caseyparker6375 I believe it is
I sure enjoy you and your reactions Jennifer. I would sincerely like to say Hello to your mother Maria ! Greetings from Ocean Springs, Mississippi
Can you imagine being a neighbor?! Hearing little concerts coming from over the fence or through the trees?? 😁
Hello Maria and Jennifer. I t makes me so happy every time you react to Austin or Tim or HOME FREE. It just doesn't get any better than them. Love them and thank you. Stay Safe
Yet another example of people getting together and only having fun. While they show off their AWESOME talents. Great Post. Oh, and Hello, Maria. (Psst, great idea, Jennifer) :-)
Getting tongue tied while hearing Tim’s natural speaking voice, especially after hearing him sing like that. 😂 Join the club, girl!
Yup! Hahah!!
Hello, Maria!
I love when you are nerdy. I am here for it
I just LOVE when Tim and Austin sing and play so much together, at their homes, so casual, with their friends. They do that a lot. Wouldn't it be nice to have them come and sing Happy Birthday for you, and a few other songs too, in your backyard?! We've seen Sebastian in a ton of Austin's videos, and Chris Chatham is with them quite a bit too, he's awesome too, btw. I'm sorry to say that I don't really recognize the guy playing the bass. Oh, and Hi Maria, Jennifer's mom - I hope you are SO proud of her! :)
Love this one and I've got another one you should enjoy. Adam Chance just released a version of Wayfaring Stranger with his pals the Hound and Fox, it brought a tear to my eye. Hope you find time to check out another member of HF doing their 'thing'. (Edited to get their names right way round - too many English pubs called Fox & Hound lol)
Ooh lovely, thanks!!
It The Hound & Fox. They are very good first time i heard them was with Peter Holland. They have done several with Chance. And with HF.
@@nethanelmasters5170 Oops my bad! Just sounds like an English pub, so easy to confuse lol.
Definitely Wayfaring Stranger is wonderful
Thank you Jennifer! Always love hearing your reactions, especially Home Free..you make listening to any music even more enjoyable! Hope you have an AMAZING day!
Thank you! And you!
@@JenniferGlatzhofer thank you!
Hello Maria! What a wonderful & talented young lady you have raised. Well done! :)
Hi Maria! Your daughter is so knowledgeable and just plain awesome.
I can't even imagine hanging out on their back porch and then breaking out into the song dear goodness that would be a dream come true! They are so real! Love your reactions keep up the great work girlfriend!
Hello to your mom, Maria. It's a great name for a song. Just look at Maria in West Side Story. Greating from the US to you and your mom.
Exactly! Ahah thank you 😁
I love when Austin sings in his lower range. Beautiful tone. So warm.
You need to react to "Helplessly Hoping". Some of the best harmonies ever. :-)
I love this song! And I thoroughly enjoy your reactions! Thanks for the content! Keep up the great work! (the exclamation points were accurate, if questionably abundant)
Thank you!!!😁😁
"Still the one" is pretty awesome Jennifer. What a fun day that must have been.
HI MARIA!!! What a fun collaboration!
Thanks!
Perfection.. Thanks so much, Jennifer.. Great reaction.. and Hey Maria, Jennifer's mom!! Thanks so much to you both..
Amazing insight and analysis as always. Definitely my favorite to watch.
Love to your mama, and Marias everywhere!
Fantastic harmonies! Thanks for your taking is through it! You sang the parts right off to illustrate - amazing!
Loved your reaction and analysis!
Also- Hi Maria! I hope you enjoyed listening to your song. ❤️❤️❤️
Thank you!!! 🙌🏼
Hi Mari-eeeeeeee yaaa 😀
Love them together. Thank you for reacting to this. You gave very informative reactions ans I am learning a lot
I've loved this song since it was released by Brooks and Dunn in 96. so.... HI momma Maria from Oklahoma.
the original by B W Stevenson is the best version, so far. This one is a fun cover and is better than the B&D version, as well.
If you look again at the Tim "Will you Still Love Me/Stay" you will see it was Chris in the background doing the soundboard. Chris has done guitar accompaniments with Tim on a number of videos. Love the acoustic bass! Overall, this was outstanding and I also think your analysis/comments were spot on. Thanks for bringing this Jennifer... many kudos!
Thank you 😊 I’ll go back and check for sure!
Thank you Jennifer for reacting to this really fun and beautiful song! Love our guy's when they collaborate with friends! You can tell they love what they do and genuinely enjoy the rewards of their friendships. Beautiful voices and beautiful hearts! Would you please react to ADAM CHANCE Feat. THE HOUND AND THE FOX newest release titled WAYFARING STRANGER? Thank you, I appreciate you breaking things down for us. Home Free is my absolute favorite group and I so love each member! Sending love from South Georgia!
HEY MARIA! We love your Jennifer!♥️😃🍟
Thank you!! 😁
Maria is a great name to sing to and fall in love. I should know, that is my wife's name lol. :) Great woman. So many great Maria's out there. Mary is great too.
You can see & hear their friendship & Tim’s vocal range.
Loved watching you absorb the beauty that is them.. You were spot on with every one of your reactions ..I felt like we had exactly the same wavelength tuned in on every piece of that… Great descriptions of the entire delivery!!! You fleshed out everything I felt the first time I heard that….
This is by far my favorite song/ video that I’ve heard them do.
Hi Maria. Greetings from Denmark. I really love your daughters analyses and reactions, she's a gem!
Love em!! 💘
Hi Maria!!! Your daughter is an absolute joy. Great reaction as always Jennifer. You can tell you love what you do.
Cool rendition! You have such a beautiful voice. Thanks for the review.
Hahaha, yeah Jennifer I laugh at the same thing as you. Tim’s singing in the attic and then when he speaks, he’s back in the basement….man, what range! That’s Tim’s good friend Chris Chatham on guitar (they’ve written songs together and they collaborate quite a bit). Chris on the bass guitar is Tim’s brother in law. Would love to have them in my back yard for sure! They’re so good! Good reaction😍
Lovely Lady, Maria.
Hi Maria!!
Want some early (pre-home free?) Tim? Edge of Glory on Tim's channel. Sung with 3 friends of his - one being Chris Chatham (on electric mandolin), who is the lead guitar/third singer on this track.
Hi momma Maria! Great reaction Jennifer and thank you as always for your analysis.
Love your videos. Hello Maria !! 😊
💙 Hi Maria! 💙 Great analysis/reaction! 😎
Hi Maria, your daughter is great 😃👍
Jewel is such a great description. Just found your channel today and it made my day!
All the best to "Maria!"
Hi Maria 👋. Great reaction as always Jennifer!
First off... Hi Maria!! Your daughter is Awesome!!🥰 I love her reactions soooo much! Her knowledge of the voice is, well, vast. But she seems surprised each time she hears HF. I Love it! 🥰😍☺
Hi Maria! You have an awesome daughter ;-)
🙌🏼🙌🏼
Also recommend you listen to Austin singing, “When a man loves a woman “
Great reaction Jen! Not sure how I managed to miss this cover that Austin and Tim did back when it came out so I got to watch it for the first time here as well. This was great fun. Oh, and "Hi Maria!" 😀
So great!! Thank you 😁
Definitely MUST listen to HomeFree cover of Helplessly Hoping for gorgeous 5 part harmony
Ohh this song, thank you for this reaction 😀👍🏼🔥
The one playing the guitar has an amazing voice 😀
Hi Mom! great reaction
Hello Maria! Your daughter is terrific and I enjoying her music reactions so much!
As normal these guys are amazing with their friends.❤️
Hi Maria , love this cover and the song is great ❤
Such a beautiful song. Say hi to Maria from Los Angeles.
To lovely Jennifer’s lovely mom: 🎵 Hi, Mareeeeeeeeeeeeea!🎶
Oh yes! I love the mutual appreciation and fun in this one :~)
You will have seen Chris - lead guitar here - in the booth on the Tim video you mentioned.
Hi Maria!
Shout out to Momma Maria🎉
Howdy, Maria/Mom.
Austin has such a sweet voice. 😊
The guy you saw in the background in Tim's Doo-Wap stuff is the guitarist. A music producer!
And on the subject of Tim --- if you'd like to go to the other extreme of his voice -- try "Your Man" (live version is so much fun) -- a Josh Turner cover.
