one UI is the worse UI I have ever experienced. People using this UI can't even differentiate between 60 and 120hz. They don't care about micro jitters and stutters. Me being an avid phone user for years, I have seen how worse is One UI. It's just customisable that too in useless segments like icons,colors ! I'm a kid to use it? I want to wonderful animations and performance not colors.
I am using Xiaomi 14, it heats a lot from day one. The temperature stays always at 42-46. I went service center and they say its normal upto 48. This is by just turning on the phone and normal use.
One more issue is motherboard issue with xiaomi.. my mi10t got into trashbag within 1.5 year and the reason was motherboard issue.. hence it has less reliability..

I bought this phone for my mum, because she does social networking and needs good camera, with descent battery life and I must say, it's delivering on every front. The camera is really really awesome, though I do agree fogging does happen with prolonged use, but it's not a deal breaker. The display is just fabulous, with beautiful colour reproduction. Also, the software update policy is okay-ish. So, it ticks all the boxes I was looking for when I bought this for her. Moreover, she started using Xiaomi with Mi Max 2 then Redmi Note 10 pro, and now this, so UI/UX is quite familiar, thus enabling smooth transition. All in all, really good purchase.
xiaomi 14 user here, i absolutely adore this phone!!! it's small, the battery lasts long, and the performance is really good. no lens fogging issue even in winters, but the phone does heat up after 30-40 minutes of gaming. still waiting for the android 15/hyperos 2.0 update
No you are wrong, the fog issue is due to the faulty phones, this phone has this issue from the start, most of the units have this issue, Still it's a bad thing tbh.

Real reason why Xiaomi 14 is not very popular is because of it's notorious fogging issue of the camera and the stuttering issue of video recordings after updating the OS. The stuttering video recordings issue is not only limited to the xiaomi 14 but also in their other phones like redmi note 13 pro. I know because I have that phone too.

For example If I want to have a launcher (niagra aur nova or any for that matter) it won't let me use gestures, split screen, or floating windows. Also animations get worse. Basically this UI restricts you so much that you feel like you are not even in an Android ecosystem. I am looking to switch from this brand and I recommend you do too.

Isn't Xiaomi just another brand with few years of upgrades? for me it's much better with a device that has a promised 7 years of udpates software wise and security ... instead of buying a new every 2-3 years.
