    I received a water cooled torch with my Everlast TIG welder but never got around to getting a cooler. This looks worth looking into.

      Makes a huge difference in how long you can weld and hot long the torch consumables last. Well worth the cost in my opinion.

      Not at all! Am very impressed with the MTS 275 Lightning! Has become my go to machine for welding. Now if I could just think of a way to mount the plasma on the same cart!

    I have heard that the colors on the Everlast hoses are backwards. The cool water from the hose should go direct to the torch head and the blue hose actually goes to the dinse connector first so you should plug red to blue and blue to red to get the flow going in the right direction. Do you agree or would you just match the colors?

    Kevin I'm thinking of getting a tig welder I have been mig welding and stick welding for a long time. I was thinking of getting an Everlast 250ex To start trying to teach myself how to tig. Do you think that's a good machine?

    • @KevincaronSculpture
      @KevincaronSculpture  Рік тому +1

      I like the 250ext over the ex. But either machine is going to serve you great for a long time. I had both at one time and they always outperformed me!

    when your finished using machine do you put it away with the coolant in the hoses or does it automatically go back in its tank, is there anything special that has to be done with hoses after?

    • @KevincaronSculpture
      @KevincaronSculpture  2 роки тому +1

      Great question! Nothing has to be done when I am done for the day. The coolant stays in the hose and the cable just gets coiled up.

    Everlast said that anything other than industry HF tig coolant will void the warranty. The specifically said not to use automotive antifreeze. Just FYI. It clogs the pump over time.

      @@KevincaronSculpture - I have heard a lot of guys doing it, but if you check the everlast forum, there are also a lot of guys who have had problems and the everlast rep straight up said, it voids the warranty. I just got one, so I'm investigating everything. I appreciate your channel.

    I am just learning how to TIG. I just bought a AHP 225 and the AHP water cooler. What torch are you using in the video and will the connection work with the AHP set up?

    • @KevincaronSculpture
      @KevincaronSculpture  3 роки тому

      I think it is a 26 series torch. Hooks up and works just fine with AHP because that is the one that came with the machine. Haven't had a reason to change it.

    • @anthonyfinley3901
      @anthonyfinley3901 3 роки тому

      @@KevincaronSculpture Yes, the AHP air-cooled or gas-cooled torch that comes with the AHP machine works great. I am just trying I see it the torch you are using in this video on the Everlast machine is compatible with the AHP 225 set up with the water cooler. I have seen that you have made a video of the AHP 225 about a review and have both machines. I would figure you would be the best to ask it the water torch will work on both machine. I am just trying to find one compatible with the AHP 225 and AHP water cooler. Thank you

    I tried compressed air to push a blockage through my water power feed line and did the opposite on the return line I'm trying to break free a blockage do the lines become like flat straws when running around a torch head causing it to plug up with particulates because it has a thinner tolerance and easier to plug up? Is there pics of a liquid cooled cut in half from top to bottom?

      @@KevincaronSculpture I can't believe I could ask that in any different way to get to the same answer I'm looking for. I've been welding 40 yrs . The air has worked in the past. Certified 6G , was boilermaker tin knocker and wire nut. Cyanide bromine chlorine ammonia I specialize in the real nice stuff chemical plants One Way air flows scuba gear parts per million oxygen content for confined spaces and all of this time I have never thought about cutting one in half but every time I look for three-dimensional view or a blueprint with the different views overhead side and all of that I just find a one two-dimensional view that you really can't follow the train of thought of how it gets around the head I've got quite a few heads that are here in my shop so I might just do it as a learning experience I got a new torch works great this time I hooked up a diaphragm pump for like a camper or RV 60 PSI output with ball valves to adjust the the force or pressure of the water getting through so far so good if you do come across it let me know something thanks for your time enjoy the advice thank you again
