    I was pleased that you talked about how the screen moves with your head, and talked about the potential for software to affix the screen or smoothly move the screen with some lag. I definitely would like the screen not to move as much.

    • @GrownUpGamingGUG
      @GrownUpGamingGUG  Місяць тому

      Yes, the hardware is capable, just needs software. A developer has made it working on the steam deck, it's pretty good but behind a pay wall. Viture is working on their own version I know as the previous model has 3DoF beta but they remove that feature due to some backlash and maybe it's not up to their standards. Hopefully they can release it with a firmware update soon!

    • @likestech1873
      @likestech1873 23 дні тому

      @@GrownUpGamingGUG Someone from Viture responded to one of my posts about 3DoF, and said that the neck accessory will allow you to pin the image. They only removed that feature from the glasses themselves in the pro version. The SpaceWalker app also will enable 3DoF. As long as I can get that somehow, I’ll be satisfied, I think.

    A huge dealbreaker is the lack of correction for hyperopia, and not just myopia. Really strange design choice, it renders them useless to a lot of people i guess.

    • @GrownUpGamingGUG
      @GrownUpGamingGUG  7 днів тому

      @@bionaut867 my guess is that they couldn't do both and nearsightedness is more common so they went with that. And the Myopia adjustment included only supports up to 500 degrees so there is technical limitations. Still this is better than it's competition currently.

      Honestly I don't know what's the most common Myopia correction. Do you know any XR glasses with built in hyperopia adjustments? I'm curious as I'm getting old and I'm starting to get farsightedness.

    • @bionaut867
      @bionaut867 7 днів тому

      @@GrownUpGamingGUG Yeahh that is the point, farsightedness is very very common, especially among older folks, and I would say certainly among the group of people who are villing to shell that amount of money on a niche product. Seems like a very strange descission to me, unless there is a technical issue rendering it impossible.

      These are my first XR Glasses but from my research I believe both are similar and should use the same Sony Micro OLED Panel. But the Viture Pro XR has one key advantage over competitors with the Myopia Adjustments. So if you are nearsighted, it's a no brainer.

      @@GrownUpGamingGUG There are no cameras on the glasses, no radar system, so it’s a bit odd that the image can appear a little smaller or larger based on your proximity to an obstruction. That's 3DoF. The hardware supports it but Viture turned it off as it wasn't up to their standards. Hopefully it will return with a firmware update. On steam deck there's a decky loader plugin to enable it. There's 3 modes, pin the screen, smooth follow and shrink the size and put it on a corner so you can watch something on the side while doing daily activities.

      @@andrekravcenko8801 yes there's a app on the steam deck developer by an independent developer that does the pin screen function, shrink screen and put in the corner or smooth follow. I hope Viture makes the same app for all platforms for free.
