It's kinda wrong to but I just find it funny how Eren looked so depressed this episode while Floch out there looks like he's having the time of his life enjoying his work Remember, if you love your job, you'll never have to work a day in your life!
I can’t write for shit so I’m sharing one of my favorite analysis’s for this episode because I think it’s one of the most important episodes in the whole show for people to fully understand. It’s lengthy but breaks it down so well: credits to @MysteriMustacheToast (I think. Copy pasted from a studio gek comment section) “The knife itself represents the ‘knife’ that’s passed around in the cycle of hatred. It’s something you CHOOSE to pick up and is also something that you can make the choice to put down. Sasha chose to shoot the Marleyan soldiers as retaliation for Paradis. In turn, Gabi picked up the rifle to avenge her home and killed Sasha. Out of grief over losing Sasha, Niccolo picks up the knife to exact revenge on Gabi and offers it to Mr. Blaus. However, Sasha’s father doesn’t *want* to continue the cycle of hatred so when the knife came into his hands, his wisdom helps him make the deliberate choice to put it down. The entire episode shows that the cycle of hatred is something that is spurred on by choice. If an adult makes the decision to put the knife down and break the cycle, communication and peace, however slim, becomes a possibility. In a way Eren’s “If you don’t fight, you can’t win” and Armin’s “Those who can’t sacrifice anything, can’t change anything” philosophies both apply here. As long as someone at the very least tries, however futile or minuscule the effort may seem, the chance for a changed outcome will continue to stand. On the other hand, if neither side can step forward and make the first attempt at communication, at diplomacy and open dialogue, the possibility for peace will remain exactly as it was: nonexistent. Similarly, those who can’t bring themselves to sacrifice their pride, self interests, personal vengeance and grievances, ambitions, etc. and put down the knife won’t ever have a chance at ending the perpetual cycle either. That last scene with Kaya shows the importance of ‘keeping the kids out of the forest’ because you are shown firsthand just how easily children are pulled into the cycle of violence and how easily a cycle that is broken, can be kicked off again. The knife that was finally put down, is immediately picked up again in an act of violence because a child has a much easier time understanding her hurt feelings from her loss, over the consequences of her actions. That’s why it’s the responsibility of adults to make sure children won’t have to find themselves in situations where they feel as though they need to pick up a knife, and to teach them that even if they are presented with one, picking it up would be a fruitless endeavor that ultimately does more harm than good.” Mikasa’s first act of violence was also her and Eren picking up a knife to take human lives. Yuri and Kenny’s friendship also began only because of Yuri’s unexpected gesture of humility and accountability in the face of Kenny’s violence. He had Kenny’s knife and life literally in the palm of his hand and could have even transformed again at any time but he instead lowered himself before the guy that was aiming a pistol at his face, and apologized. Two great scenes, one that violently depicted the loss of innocence and tragedy of a knife picked up, while the other highlighted the impact of a knife willingly set aside, as well as the hope and beauty that can follow it.
I think Kaya picking up the knife in an attempt to kill Gabi and her subsequent reactions made Gabi realized she (unknowingly) betrayed and hurt someone who had showed her grace and trust. So Gabi experienced what Reiner experienced. Before this, in Gabi’s mind, she always feels she is “justified” to do the horrible things that she did, but not this time,
When Kaya tells Gabi and Falco how Nicolo and Sasha might've been in love, I think Falco only noticed something wrong during that time. They were taught their entire lives that Marleyans can't fall in love with Eldians. It's a sin, it's impossible (that's how Gabi reacts when she says to Niccolo that she must've bewitched him. You can't fall in love with an island devil!). He knew something was wrong with him and maybe they shouldn't reveal to him who they are. He didn't fully understand it yet, but he understands it when Nicolo asks very specifically if they killed a woman soldier or not
Beautiful reaction with anticipation for the next episodes! Something tells me that you will have the shock of your lifes at the next episode! I saw your stare Ronnie at the wine going to Falco's mouth😎👍
Definitely one of the best episodes of the season, and one that really encapsulates a lot of what AoT is about. The speech is already incredible, but Kaya trying to attack Gabi is the icing on the cake that really maximizes the whole thing's punch.
Small detail. Zeke's story regarding the gas weapon has a green tint and implies that it's not a "real" flashback as the every other flashback scenes were. It indicates that it was not the truth or made up. He did that so that's how he could 'infect' everyone with the wine without anyone even noticing it . Speaking of flashbacks, I think I found a small mistake (I feel proud). In the previous episode when Yelena says she met Eren in secret, there is a small flashback shown of Eren and Yelena. However, Eren had his hair up in a bun in the flashback, which he's not supposed to have during that time. He only gets that hairstyle when he got imprisoned amd not earlier when Yelena met him. This is just a minor mistake, so it's not a big deal.
Oh wow that green tint makes so much sense, I think someone mentioned the bun mistake was corrected in Blu-ray version but unfortunately we didn't get our hands on this :(
Since you guys only have the two final episodes left: Nobody notices this, but from this episode until the last, nobody gets a change of clothes. That's why in fan art, these are the clothes Gabi and Falco are known by. (they're not even theirs, they're from Sasha's family)
I think the intended interpretation of Eren **up to this point** is that he is moreso a product of what the world created, he just wants freedom. He has seen what the outside world is like, In meof it kinda adds a third layer to his character and what true lengths he has to go to ensure the island is safe but also on he first and second final we understand what his third layer view of freedom is.
I have such high hopes for biraj...the guy can just see clearly.. Though I'm sure the next couple of episodes will be confusing a.f I wonder how they'll navigate it 😅

Aw I’m flattered thanks lol
one of the lyrics of the last opening is "All I ever wanted to do was save your life, I never wanted to grab a knife"

Woa woa u right, i just now know this litlle thing about cant love with Eldian
Gabi screams about killing eren the whole season
Eren shows up
Gabi: 🤐
Waiting for her ulti cooldown 🔫 ⚾️
@@rusydan1231 faze gabi 🤣
Don't give her a gun bro.
Her world view and belief system just cracked a little in a very dramatic way a few minutes ago, she was still shell shocked.
8:51 HAHAHA Ronnie always looking at the camera when there’s hidden details
lmao
This is hands down my favorite episode of the series. I love watching reactions for this episode specifically. You did not disappoint fellas.
Yelena to zeke = God
Floch to Eren = Devil
Sh*t happened when the god and devil are working together....
“He has blood on his hands”
Brother you have no idea 😭
4:22 - "flower - symbolism" --- yes there is. All the flower focussed shots in AoT depict a symbolism.
There reaction to Nicole realizing Gabi killed Sasha is everything
14:30 I love it when ronnie looks at the camera👀😂😂😂😂he knows🙊🙊
11:37 is my favorite part!! LMAOOO I need a slow mo edit of this one in the next episode 😂
Beautiful reaction with anticipation for the next episodes! Something tells me that you will have the shock of your lifes at the next episode!
I saw your stare Ronnie at the wine going to Falco's mouth😎👍
Dude said he doesn't like this Eren. Boy, is he in for a ride next episode 😂
That's what I was thinking 😂
Yes Biraj! Floch indeed looks like Justin Bieber xD
This is my favorite episode in the series, it was a great rollercoaster of emotions and had a great message.
Definitely one of the best episodes of the season, and one that really encapsulates a lot of what AoT is about. The speech is already incredible, but Kaya trying to attack Gabi is the icing on the cake that really maximizes the whole thing's punch.
This episode is the thesis of the entire show tbh.
Last time: It was falcos time to listen.
Now: It's Gabi's turn. How ironic!!! 😂
This is one of my favorite episodes ❤

This episode is one of my favorite. It "somehow" makes Sasha's death meaningful. I also understand Niccolo and Kaya's pain. 💔
A pure heartbreaking moment for Mikasa and Eren in the next episode tho, they're divorcing😢
I wonder who gets custody of Armin lol
8:58 Falco and Mikasa have similar personalities; they both love someone to the point of being willing to sacrifice their lives for them.💔💔
That’s why eren says to falco in ep3
‘Is it a girl ?’ to falco!
Similar things can be said about a lot of characters on this show, not necessarily about romantic love.
Favorite episode of S4 by far. The rollercoaster of emotions go up and down and always gets me emotional seeing Kayla’s reaction
Lmfaooo the intro. Rowan is OUT for Biraj
19:59 We will miss that side of Eren 💔😭😭

There's no time to change clothes lmao, not in a world like that.
@@AstroAngelss no they just like being nasty

Eren argued with Mikasa and gaslit her because he can't fight her. While he threw hands with Armin because he will never win an argument with him 😂😂😂
My reaction when reading this chapter is similar to Rivas! I'm interested in watching you guys react to the next episode. 🤭🤭
I hope you show their reaction to new opening from episode 17 onwards (rumbling).
We haven't been watching any of the intros, and we're even muting the rumbling intro, will react to all of them together after the series :)

React to the openings and Endings. Cause Rumbling and Akuma no Ko are probably the best ones

the arc of King Floch is beggin💀
So theres this thing in the fandom some thinks Sasha last word are niku ( meat) some thinks she said niku ( Niccolo )
Ugh another brilliant reaction!
"what's his name" the main character 😨
We are getting close
Here we fucking go!!
I am not ready for the next episode 🤣🤣🤣
