You both made so many poignant observations that it's hard to comment on any one thing but I'll try this;
I miss when they understood the fear of the unknown and used the big reveal till the end and when doing so used sfx vs cgi.

A bit late to this video. As a teen girl, I remember watching this movie and being torn between feeling pissed off by how everyone treated periods as this big deal and feeling happy that periods were being discussed in a non-negative light (Ginger's perspective not withstanding). I still understand how Ginger felt. As a teen there is something about periods that feel abnormal and all of the attention surrounding it can be mortifying. Plus it doesn't help that hormones and everything makes you feel like you aren't in control of your body. Still thought it was a stellar movie comparing werewolves to puberty, really captures the whole "you feel unnatural and weird in your skin! Your body is changing beyond your control!" Loved the react!!
I was 13-14 when this came out - it was PERFECT! My friends and I were obsessed with this movie. We watched a lot of horror, but this one was tailor made ✨💛✨ RECOMMENDATION: Drop Dead Gorgeous, it's a dark comedy with Kirsten Dunst, Allison Janney , Brittany Murphy and has Amy Adams' debut.

I refer to that "time of the month", as me going through my werewolf phase:
- my sense of smell gets scarily accurate
- I get straight up mean & irritable
- I usually crave red meat(I always like my red meat, like steaks, bloody red^.^)
- sometimes the pain feels like bones are broken or something (like back pain)
- and I usually run fevers when I'm typically freezing on average days
- etc.
When you take all of that into account it makes you wonder how no one made a female-centric werewolf movie before this one 🤔 - Stef
Giger snaps 2 is in my opinion even better, its the perfect sequel. I love this movie so much man, im glad you did a video on it :)

Kinda interesting that the first Werewolf only went after dogs before it ended up attacking Ginger and Bridgett. I wonder if whoever it was had enough control to not go after people, or it just never had a chance to until encountering the sisters.
i binged all three of these last year in one sitting, and i can't decide between the first and second as my favourite, they're both awesome but very different. also it's hilarious to me that they went on to play the evil step sisters in a cinderella story 2, like that's the most random thing lmao

I used my period as an excuse in PE too 🤣 I would get out of doing suicides (a type of exercise that is exactly as it sounds).

22:18 that was my experience. The first time it happened I hadnt even retaliated. I was just accused, they jumped down my throat, I explained, they continued to doubt me and harrass me. All while for years they ignored me getting bullied for years saying it was to pervasive to do anything about (to many bullies to be bothered).

@@themoviebudz1988 I went to an art school and was an illustration major, but film classes counted as academic classes! So I took a horror and an avant-garde film class.
We basically just watched movies ever week and took notes as we watched. At the end of the semester you could either write an easy or create an art piece.

Some of the dialogue is kind of weird but overall this movie is incredible. All the actors are great, the writing is great, the songs amplify every scene, even the sets feel realistic.
The dialogue actually makes way more sense when you watch the deleted scenes. It's a shame they cut so much out because it adds much more context

Hell YEAH! I watch this and Dog Soldiers back to back when I need my B grade werewolf fix. It's a tradition. The sequels aren't bad either, Ginger Snaps Back (the third one) is a bit weird but I liked it.

I saw this 15 years ago, when I was on vacation in the little gardenhouse my uncle had back then.
There was a super old, tiny TV there and I was the only one still awake (and currently in my goth-phase...ugh. xD)
It was kinda nice because it was a clear night sky, pretty moonlight and a touch of mist over the grass. It was all wet from dew because of the summer humidity at night. Little fireflies around the pool and only the sounds of frogs croaking and chirping crickets (yes, the TV was outside on a table but it was really a nice etting and location actually xD).
Sorry for the Mini-story, but that movie was immediately one of my top-favourites after I've seen it - maybe it had a LOT to do with my own hellish period experiences (because I have PMS and Endometriosis xD so it was VERY relatable to see Ginger suffer like that.) and because I was somewhere in the middle of puberty myself as well as "the outsider". xD
i don't remember how I found them in the first place, but the Ginger Snaps films were my favorite movies when I was 10 🙃
Given the era of celibacy only that would be increasing the time, I got to come in the school nurse for giving them condoms at all LOL. Or even mentioning them for that matter. That scene is spoken so vaguely that every single thing the way too chipper nurse says makes sense. My nurse just handed me a pamphlet about periods, a pad, and sent me on my way without telling me what was happening to me when I had questions about discharge. It's been over 25 years so I have no shame and talking about this s*** LOL. But yeah, it might look like ginger is dying because of too much blood but that's about right.

Yees love this movie! I'd recommend watching the sequel but not the third movie (prequel sort of). Also another underrated hit that's surprising good is Pandorum with Ben Foster and Dennis Quaid.

Hey Budz I'm back.😢 I'm so sorry I missed your last video. FUD kinda got away from me. ( F@ck you day. It's kinda like thanksgiving but the exact opposite. Its starts New Years eve. We get things off our chest and get rid of any resentment before the New year. You can tell anyone off or vice versa and basically rant about anything until morning.) For most of it, very few of us are sober and for the ending of 2020 we kinda went overboard.
