For me personally Aventus and Green Irish Tweed are tied for first place mainly because these are my two favorite niche fragrances in my collection and I wear them the most of my Creeds.
Although there are six particular Creed fragrances that I enjoy wearing out of the fourteen that I've tried, I always return to wearing Aventus (two or three times per week), and Green Irish Tweed (once per week on average) after "giving them a break" (which isn't very long - for two or three weeks, typically). These two scents get the most positive response from friends and strangers, though I'm really wearing it because I enjoy the creations, themselves. Of course, I "like" that it pleases others along with what I may be wearing at the time, especially since I see fragrances as a fashionable accessory to set or reaffirm a tone. [As a side note, I typically dress in darker colored clothing and prefer sweeter and/or textured scents with them, whereas, when I'm wearing something brighter - especially with a white shirt - I'll tend towards something with a prominent citrus. I do have synesthesia, however - so, it probably has much to do with it, and comes along with my senses as a musician, as well.] And, because I prefer colder, cloudier weather, as opposed to hot and sunny (I might as well mention that I happen to be photophobic as well - ha), there are some other Creed fragrances that I only wear in a cooler climate (or, indoors though air conditioning, though I keep my car like an icebox on wheels, throughout the year); namely: Viking and Royal Oud. The various spices work so well in general, but best with colder temperatures and low humidity. Himalaya is also worth mentioning, since I found it to be very interesting for something natural that reads as sharp but not abrasive in the area of cedar (though, it reminds me of smoke and honeysuckle accents), and is great in warmer weather, along with Millésime Impérial, which I was surprised to find a reminder of GIT within. Royal Mayfair, on the other hand, was simply "impossible" for me to get through an hour of wearing, due to the eucalyptus which was like a burnt rubber medicinal chemical made for an eccentric older woman from the eighteenth century. It was a case of my wanting to like the scent for the story more than the story being that I didn't like the scent. One fragrance that I'm surprised was missing from this lineup, though, is Bois du Portugal. It's amazing. If this hasn't been reviewed on the Gentleman's Gazette as of yet, I highly suspect that it will be appreciated for the lavender, vetiver and ambergris (among other wood notes). Once I tried it, I was immediately impressed with how much of a class act it exuded. It has longevity, but didn't overstay its welcome, so to speak, and is so well crafted with an array of gentlemanly accords that I tend to believe the story of how it was, supposedly, Frank Sinatra's favorite scent to wear. There is one last thing that I do feel compelled to mention about this episode, though. It's that I've heard and read that it's best not to rub a cologne or perfume into the skin when applying. It can, inadvertently, destroy certain molecules within the top notes, especially, and compromise the integrity of the fragrance as a whole. There will, most likely, be those who will disagree with my saying that (which is fine), but this is what I've learned from a number of perfumers over the years. I would think that people are accustomed to rubbing them in because of also doing so with aftershave lotions and such, but I would advise against it for safety's sake. With that said, thank you for reading my comment (I didn't actually "intend" on writing a book), and thanks as always for the entertaining and informative channel. I greatly appreciate it!
I've tried many niche fragrances over the past few months. It all started when i heard from y'all about how great Green Irish tweed was. That one didn't become a staple for me, but Creed became one of my favorite brands with Roja tied for first. They are relatively easy to wear and generally very high quality and natural smelling. Never pay full price, never buy a batch of Aventus without seeing reviews for that batch (terrible batch variation.) Aventus Cologne is my daily driver- fresh and clean, sporty and and with the right amount of a designer vibe. Original aventus is loud and fruity in a masculine way, i wear it when i want to be more socially galvanized and come across more friendly. Always sample before you buy. Never rely on anyone else's review. And when you sample wear it multiple times- some things i dont like at first become a favorite and vice a versa.
I can only afford one of these every other year or so, so I go with Green Irish Tweed 9 times outta 10. The one time I’ll deviate, it’ll be Himalaya 🧉🦄👍🏽
Loved the video! Indeed, very rare to have all of these together. I've sampled most of these myself (not sure if all of them though) and my favorite so far is Royal Oud. There are Creed scents that suffer from poor performance (like Millesime Imperiale and Silver Mountain Water), but Royal Oud smells fantastic and performs very well for me too. Aventus is one that I like as well and wear often, but it's a bit more mass appealing and more pedestrian than Royal Oud. Erolfa I also enjoy, but it's a bit less versatile than the other 2 I mentioned. A bit more of a summer scent. Green Irish Tweed is one that I really don't enjoy. The opening is really nice, but for me, it dries down into what I can only describe as freshly chopped parsley. While I love some parsely for garnish on my food, I don't really fancy smelling like it all day 😅
I've used a good number of those scents in a shaving soap from many different vendors. I'm not overly a big cologne person but do enjoy some of those Creed scents
I've tried six Creeds so far and ranking goes something like: GIT, Himalaya, Aventus, Royal Oud, MI, Viking. Next on my list to check out would be Original Vetiver, SMW, and maybe Erolfa or Aventus Cologne. I think I like my Creed's "brisk" for lack of a better word, hence my top two picks.
I didnt watch the video but the top 3 for sure are 1. Aventus 2. Green Irish Tweed 3. Silver Mountain Water. It's the most designer fragrance from a niche brand. And all 3 can be had with MB Explorer, Davidoff Cool Water and Armaf Club de Nuit Silage. Combine under 100 usd. The moral of the story is dont buy Creed. Buy MFK, Amouage or Parfam De Marly. Ok now I'll see if my pick was correct(Well I'm 2 out of 3 on this one)
I bought 10 creed samples on EBay. One that wasn't on this video was Bois Du Portugal, which was also pretty good. I would put it about midway among the fragrances in this video.

I have 6 Creed. Royal Oud has to be my #1. Aventus a close 2nd. GIT is top notch, along with Viking. SMW is the freshest of my group. Days where I wanna feel mature, old school, manly, I pick Bois Du Portugal.
I first bought GIT back in 2006, when it was only $125 for the large bottle. Once it was bought by Saks and it got bumped to $450, it fell off. Still my favorite cologne of all time, but it only lasts an hour or two now, rather then all day. They cheapened it while making it beyond expensive
I guess it mustn't have come in the box, but I think you guys would give Erolfa a pretty high score. It's kind of like a greener, classier version of Millesime Imperial.

CW has very similar DNA to Green Irish Tweed (I own both) but it’s a great exaggeration to say that no one would notice the difference. Cool water has a synthetic smell to it that is just inescapable. To someone who knows what GIT smells like, the likelihood of mistaking it for cool water is low.
@@jaycowper I think that's true for people who care enough about fragrances to spend $400 on a bottle, or even know what the brand Creed is. But I don't think the average person would notice the difference
@@BenjaminGoude Not to parse words, but what you said was no one would notice the difference. Categorically untrue. Do you own or have extensively sampled the clones vs the originals? SMW is great for the spring and summer too. Refreshing and clean. Give it a try. I’m not a fan of it in the winter I prefer the sweeter, heavier scents.

Discovered Creed the 1990's and I agree with this top 5. Back then, this stuff made you a king. Now it's at Dillard's. GIT is a masterpiece. Aventus smelled significantly different from it's initial release than it does today (its been improved). MI has changed a lot also and used to be much stronger and left a trail. Every time I wear it I wish I had gone with GIT instead. Royal Mayfair belongs on the list somewhere. VIW and SMW smell cheap and toxic. Don't care about the others except maybe Viking. Nicely done video.
Buying a Creed fragrance is akin to buying a solid gold spoon. It does the job just as well as a cheap spoon, but at a much higher pricepoint. At least with a solid gold spoon, the cost to manufacture somewhat justifies the price. I suppose it's more like buying a regular spoon with a cool logo on it and paying the price of a solid gold spoon.
The most expensive colognes in the +1000 a bottle range smell like absolute garbage. It’s like they are just distinct. You’re the only person on the continent who smells like that when you’re wearing it.
Creed has some great fragrances but I feel itherr nothing unique about the brand anymore as I feel those who dotn know about fragrances buy Creed for the clout. There's so many other great fragrance houses out there like Parfums de Marly, Maison Francis Kurkdjian, and more!

1:07 👀Raphael stop rubbing it in man 🤦🏿♂️
Himalaya is my favorite Creed fragrance. It didn't even make the list...
Royal Oud
No way this is a gentleman channel and Bois Du Portugal or Royal Mayfair isn’t on this list
Please, tell us about Bois du Portugal
And the saga of mispronouncing vetiver continus
Veti-vay 🙊😜

Discovered Creed the 1990's and I agree with this top 5. Back then, this stuff made you a king. Now it's at Dillard's.
GIT is a masterpiece. Aventus smelled significantly different from it's initial release than it does today (its been improved). MI has changed a lot also and used to be much stronger and left a trail. Every time I wear it I wish I had gone with GIT instead. Royal Mayfair belongs on the list somewhere. VIW and SMW smell cheap and toxic. Don't care about the others except maybe Viking.
Nicely done video.
Creed... 😒
Instant like, typical of us notification squad members !
Could you maybe consider the brand Xerjoff? In my honest opinion they are far superior than Creed.

You know what smells better than Creed cologne doctor squats soap + shampoo and conditioner plus deodorants + toothpaste + cologne
Original Vetiver is the best fragrance in the line🤌
