I love, love, love your channel! I had to go sniffing my Red Heart yarn....nope it smells fine I'd return it.
🤣 I started my tufting journey with someone else's "scraps" I went to an estate sale and a crochet lady had passed away, her family was selling garbage bags full of yarn for $20. I couldn't help but to buy all her yarn but then realized it would take me forever to use it all crocheting and then I found tufting : )
I have "Finish it Fridays" in my craft basement, every Friday I go through and find any partially done projects and finish them or get rid of it if it didn't work out. This helps keep the clutter and unfinished things to a minimum.
I built my frame based on the size the tufting cloth comes in so there isn't a lot of "extras" I try to fill the frame to avoid that problem. The small pieces could be sold as scrap on Etsy to someone who does needle punching for coasters or you could use it for stuffing maybe.

Have to admit that the "smells like poop" tag line really caught my attention 😂😂😂! Never had that happen but I also have yet to order yarn online. Good luck with that 🤞. Seriously, I absolutely love your videos and can't wait to revisit the tufting craze. Your Halloween line is adorable and I hope to mimic my own very soon!!! With your blessings, hopefully!!! Keep doing you, Boogaloo!!!

Don’t ya just love those “ah hah!” moments? Congrats on figuring out the speed vs fullness vs line spacing. It was and sometimes still can be one of my biggest challenges. Also feel that same pain on forgetting to flip the image. Been there a time or two, or probably 12 in the last few years. We get so excited to get going! When I forget, I usually just go ham and make an abstract/freehand using of all my leftover yarns. No one ever knows that there is a backwards drawing underneath!
I hope this makes sense…For your scraps- when I made my 8’x8’ frame, I planned a 3rd vertical support that could be added and moved anywhere inside the frame. It has a bracket on top/bottom to screw it to the horizontal rails wherever I need it. Then I ended up cutting horizontal rails in 1’ length and 2’ lengths (to be able to make a 1’x1’ or a 2’x2’ mini frame within my big frame). This allowed me to use scraps of decent sizes.
I can’t wait to see how your flower carving turns out! You truly are talented!

I am a crafter (crochet, macrame, sewing, etc.) So I know all about the scrap bags! It can get overwhelming but I dip into them so many times it's worth it. Sometimes I also do a scrap buster project and see how many I can use up!

I’m sorry if someone already suggested this, but I would see the biggest pieces of leftover tufting fabric together to salvage at least a small frame piece. Try it before tossing the pieces. At the very least you can use is as garland projects. Hope this helps. Keep on keeping on, love you and your creations. God Bless.

Hey girl! I do a lot of sewing my own clothes, when I need to mark the fabric temporarily I use this designer/tailors chalk pencil, that have it in blue and white so it shows up on different colors. I get it from the dollar store, super cheap but absolutely fabulous stuff, it removes with heat/ steam easy!

I ordered some cheap knit socks from China and they STANK. They were in a plastic bag with holes in it. I washed and aired a few pairs and they finally smell acceptable. My imagination tells me the ocean shipment may have been exposed to some stinky bilge water or rotten fish or something dead. Sometimes it’s worth it to pay a little more.

You should return it. The challenge with items from Amazon and other places that have huge stock and may not have a huge turnaround on, it can sometimes develop mold or other weirdness. Amazon doesn't give a hassle on returning most items that are returnable. they make money off returned items anyways. I love the rugs!

I have never heard of acrylic yarn smelling like that before. If it was wool I would be like oh yeah maybe it's sheep droppings. Sonce its acrylic tho it must be a dye or chemical that got left on, or got contaminated while on its way to Amazon?

Love seeing the vlog pop up today.
The skull rug is Epic! The skeleton WILL be Epic, too.
Smelly yarn: Return and don't look back. Make note of who the Amazon seller was so you don't buy from them again.
Tiny spaces to carve: This is an out of the box thought...
I searched for narrow ( Tiny, small, etc) carving heads, no luck. BUT I know there are dog clippers that are small. We know there are dogs out there with thick fur. Could work.
And possibly men's (ahem..) personal clippers/trimmers that are small, I should say narrower. Wondering if either would work? Just don't get one that needs oil added to use. I didn't know some needed oil.)
Anyway... my suggestions are just that. 😅
    Happy vlogging❤ 👍👍👍👍👍

Cut your scraps into squared off pieces, whatever size they can get to. Pin or note somewhere what the dimensions are on each piece. Store in a bin until a good number. Then donate to a community program that could use them. In the DC area there are actually Crafting resale places where you can deStash too. they then sell to other crafters or use for community programs. Kinda like a Habitat for Humanity type place for craft supplies.

Your skull and skeleton look great!.. that sounds like a very odd compliment if you read it out of context.😆 I was also going to suggest a white out or paint pen on your last video but, then I was concerned it might gum up your tufting machine. I really have no idea, it may be a perfect solution. But, I thought I’d mention it so you can keep an eye out just in case. Have you seen Christine McConnells channel? In her last video she showed the awful bruising she gotten from falling off her ladder and landing on a bin full of paint cans. I promptly got us a new step ladder, with nice big steps and railings.😅 I worry about you standing on a chair hon. Please get yourself a good stepladder, k?

IDK if someone in the warehouse was eatting lunch and dropped some pickle juice in the bag or what happened. But I reached out to Premier and they told me just toss out the yarn and they would send me new yarn. IDK if Amazon replaces items like that?
