I have two little hints for you that aren't spoilers, but quality of life improvements: 1. Path Blocks are brocken the fastest, when using a shovel, not a pick and 2. You should find every ore in a vein, when you mine one block above and below an ore block, because they are connected either straight ore one block diagonally (vertically). Thank you for this great series!
To be honest, I picked up this game after watching you do Episode 1 and when I saw a clip of someone throwing in forged gear into a lake to quench it and I thought "This seems like something I would love" but I was worried it was going to be too complicated, but after 50 something hours into my first two worlds, I feel I was definitely overthinking it and I'm loving the game a lot.
its not that its a complicated game. its that most games tend to hold our hands and make stuff WAY to easy to blaze thru so that we just get what we want with hardly any effort.
I too like the tool/metal progression. Part of why I like the TerraFirmaCraft mod for Minecraft. Before the addition of Netherite to Minecraft you could go from just spawning in to the best tools and armour (diamond) in about 20mins. In TFC and Vintage Story, you could still be in the bronze age after 40ish hrs.
It's "permil," "per-mil," or "per-mille," and "percent." I wouldn't usually be pedantic about these things, but spelling the words right when you're trying to teach those words to someone seems important. Not trying to be a dick about it tho.
@@blarg2429 you're not wrong, but not entirely right either, the Latin is procent and promil, it's only permil and percent because overtime people changed the way they said it, so both ways are correct, in the US permil and percent is the most common, but in Europe it's promil/promille and procent that is used. if i am not mistaken if you don't want those REED baskets then you can use a KNIFE on them to reclaim MOST of the reeds from them. this way you can recycle them into rope or something. i think you put the knife above the basket in the crafting table for it to be broken down.
Started playing alongside and my god I wish I was as organized in my thoughts as you are! I have to pause the game so often to reorganize myself and set back to whatever I’m doing. This game is a lot of fun though and I’m enjoying the series greatly!
@@Rhadamant I've been really enjoying this series so far. Let's Plays are one of the few contents I enjoy watching on this platform, and the lack of the usual streaming distraction have really helped me learn about this game I've never heard of before. Length isn't much of an issue for me, as I'm just going through the playlist at the moment. I have all the free time in the world.
You guys gotta keep voting. This series is playing with my heart. 😂 I'm about to sleep for a month straight so I can see all the uploaded videos. Can't catch the stream we are awake at 2 different times lmaoo
once you enclose your food storage in stone on all sides the cellar effect is even better!!! in other words an all-stone-but-the-door cellar works best at food preservation.
If you can find supporting evidence I'd love to hear it but from the wiki and my own anecdotal experience I haven't found that to be the case, materials don't have insulation properties as far as I am aware so all that matters is its opaque blocks ( transparent blocks like glass let sunlight in which adds heat ) @@ijkdenem
@@Rhadamant I did see that, just thought it was comical that you just kept adding to the cave. Great series btw. Seem like an adult version of minecraft
We must keep voting for this series until we've got a at least a windmill
Thanks for voting!
If you fail a forging project, it is also possible to use a chisel on it (in crafting window) to turn it into smeltable bits and start over.
Yup am aware =]

Indeed, the gradual and meaningful progress feels real nice
The part per thousand symbol is called Promil, which means per thousand, similar to how procent means per hundred. Just a little quick fact

Been waiting on this episode, Keep on keeping on!!
Same here
I thought it was over=(
Enjoy!
Yessss, it continues! Great!
More to come!
Yay, finally out of the dirt hole! Upside to RL being busy, I don't have to wait to see how the search goes. Thanks for sharing the fun!
You bet!
Glad to see that the series has continued! ?If you make copper ingots can you use them later to make bronze?
same
You can but you have to use a chisel to turn the bar back into nuggets so you can combine them with tin (or other things) to make the bronze
Yes, but as Allknowing said you have to damage a chisel to do it

I know this video is old, but a lot of cultures actually works copper cold.
Yup
I really appreciate how you frame your stream recordings for youtube. I actually forget that it's a stream recording at times.
I do my best to stream content made for UA-cam!

Well it looks like it'll win the current poll so its doing well!
Waiting with bated breath for the stream where you finally invest into ladders for vertical movement :D
Haha =P
I like this. Thank you

Will do if it garners the vote support!
Let's keep it going every one!!

Lol, you just keep adding to the cave, and ignoring your base. The more you hold off the longer it's gonna take to move out😂
I move out soon!
