Dear sir, congratulations on the video. I have LGT8258B Preheating start electronic ballast. So far it has worked with 2 T8 2x58W neon tubes - without starter. Suddenly he started flashing and after 5/10 seconds he was dead. I bought 2 V-TAC LED tubes mod. VT-1577.T8.G13.20W I cut off the power supply on the requested side, after installing nothing to do they don't work. To see if the ballast is working, what voltage or current should I find in the output terminal block that powers the tubes? Thank you, thank you very much. Can you help me, thanks.
I know this is old but it's just one less thing to do to leave it. You can remove it if you like. If you leave it and you want to go back to regular bulbs, it'll be easier.
These instructions are driving me crazy. In this one there is no mention of what happens to the sockets on the other side. In other videos the assumption is that there is just a pos and neg connection to each socket, but there are actually FOUR places for wires, and no mention of whether the two extra are just duplicates. Also, you'd expect the same left or right on each socket to be pos or neu but it's actually outside versus inside for some reason, and there's no mention of this, or whether it even matters. These are not rocket science but it's almost as if they're deliberately hiding simple but important information. I haven't found a single video that's really adequate yet. They also either have distracting music, or long irrelevant talking about which bulbs to choose or energy savings which no one cares about at the point of installation.
The music is obnoxious and that useless ballast should be cut and removed. It's code some places. Make sure to stay away from type A tubes as they are called "Plug and Play" and will NOT work if you cut ballast wires. The brands won't say if they are type B tubes, but should say "ballast by pass tubes". There are several dozen LED brands with various Kelvin ratings. Get a 4000 or 5000K rating which is closer to "daylight". I don't know for sure, but I think there may be 4 or 5 types of tubes out there. Beware of what you buy, otherwise you will taking them back to the store for something else. If you have the proper tube, the wiring is very simple. Some have the AC end clearly indicated on one end. This goes in the powered end of the tombstones. The other end is dead and only used to hold them in the fixture. Good luck and good lighting. Bob
Just what he demonstrated right? I don’t understand why people flip out over the music being played people are nice enough to offer their help what’s wrong with giving a thanks instead of all the bitching ? You act as tho you know how the job is done if so why not make your own how to video instead of coming in for a show me how too

My Fluorescent only has power at one end but uses a 2 pin each side tube. I dont know how the power is transfered to that end.
You must use single-ended led light tubes in this wiring scheme because of non-shunted sockets, not double-ended one.
why to keep ballast when power does not come from ballast?

The loud music was very distracting.
Good video but music is distracting. Also pull back a little so we can see the wires coming OUT of the ballast.
The 80's movie soundtrack is distracting

Yeah I agree. I watched this on 2x speed and it was still slow, and yeah low on information.
music? really?
Do the bulbs have to be single ended to wire using this method? Please remove the music.
Yes
You are in the wrong business, you should turn yourself towards music video, very annoying music.
