I actually REALLY really like Lord X's part, it's so like.."damn he really bout it" like he's coming in all menacing with the background music knowing he's the shit. We start off with BF have a "fun" battle against previous fan-favorite Sonic.exe-related opponents such as Majin, Sonic.exe and Lord X! The typical, "fun stuff" of a Sonic.exe-related mod! Even the music sets the scene so well, displaying them like trophies or "prized possessions" of the creators and their skill in writing and art! But...all throughout, the models keep glitching and fusing together all weird... Then, the music starts turning half nostalgic (like the Palmtree Panic Zone part) and half "weird", as if someone tried to put a music piece where it didn't belong... And with a Green Hill tune, Rewrite reveals himself... Honestly, I'm glad I checked back on this with a clearer mind than when I first experienced it. 3:25 That ethereal feeling of the music... Remember that trend of "Every copy of SM64 is Personalized"? Remember the VHS horror series people would make based on that little trend? THAT'S the feeling I get when that part plays.... (Especially from Greenio's videos in particular) It's like, somewhere, somehow SEGA once created Sonic's version of Mario 64, but never released it. Both games had the "personalized" ability, but SEGA lost control of their own version, and now it exists here, as a powerful EXE. It's like "dying from happiness", but something more intricately within the subconscious brain... Seriously, if this was an analog horror series, told through FNF songs I would LOVE to watch it!

Glad to see this reuploaded, sorry it had to be taken down because UA-cam shenanigans. While I am here though on the old one before it was taken down I made a comment about the ending and looking at the "Genesis Sprite" part I now notice how Rewrite has 4 Red Rings in the sprite (which also happens in the retry animation of that straight on segment if you lose there, in which I assume he takes *your* soul/spirit as the final) so he must have just taken the soul/spirit of BF when he failed to nab your own spirit, and that final part is almost him gloating that he got BF's soul by taunting at you by letting you "play those notes" while he impersonates BF's voice alongside the others in time with them.
I think Rewrite somehow got into my mind really, whenever I get home from high school at night I love getting to play Trinity and hearing how BEAUTIFUL this song is, i don't get sick of listening to it or playing it, it's really a masterpiece, and yes, right now I'm going to turn on my laptop and play Trinity, "see u next time"? I was wondering what happened with the video. Glad to see that it's back up! This landed a spot in being one of my many favorite songs. Rewrite is an awesome and very fascinating exe. He's really unnerved in a unique way and especially cause of the longer stockings. It just feels so off but I dig this dude.
I really enjoy all the references and CD samples used. The fact Rewrites chaotic uses the special stage main notes and the fact there's a mild MM bad future reference mid way (can't remember with who) and all the the OG tracks used or drum riffs like PP Past or the drums for I think Tidal Tempest in Rewrites first part. It's a love letter to CD and S R with its visuals and music which I love so much, GG on this fucking banger. The only thing I dislike is BF dying, not because I care for the character but personally I think if BF lived but had no control over himself and slowly became aware that he is just in a game with no real control would've made a great plot point for the future. On top of that (despite being a random person with no input) if you ever do something with the Tails Doll in this mod instead of having Rewrite disguising as it it may be cooler to have Tails Doll almost be of equal threat, with its own unique powers and almost as an anti-hero? Idk I thought it was cool so might aswell share the idea around.

God, I cannot express how much I adore the sudden tone shift when it’s Rewrite’s turn.. I like the alt "good ending" headcanon that Rewrite is actually totally benevolent and just wants to be accepted by the community, and so makes FNF mods and such to try and get people to like him.
Honestly i think the chromatic works better in this situation, I just think it was mapped weirdly a little, this is better proven in Thriller where there is just too many “doo”s in a row, y’know? I prefer this chromatic over the remixed chromatic, gives it more character.

I like the alt "good ending" headcanon that Rewrite is actually totally benevolent and just wants to be accepted by the community, and so makes FNF mods and such to try and get people to like him.
