I love the unrestrained sounds one can get out of the Dreadbox synthesisers, - the Erebus v3 and Nyx2 are two of my favourite synthesisers when it comes to creating sounds that will really grab one's attention.
Without a bunch of features cluttering up the panel, I guess thats possible. It just not enough to justify the asking price... it sounds a bit basic, but I agree, it does look nice.
Weird Midi implementation chart for this one. not sure what CC values to expect to be transmitted for mod source, drive, play mode etc. Pretty curious as to weather or not midi goblins will be able to save and load patches for this one.
Love it! The character is wicked and addicting forshizel! Wouldn’t they want to sell 1000 units for a $1000 less than, 100 units for this price? Idk. Maybe my math is off but in the long run…?
@@wolfgangwiesinger9502 investments are ALL relative. But, I would argue that that is why to start off with a lower initial cost so the value can grow but there’s no denying the sound and form factor. Excellent

Maybe a little over the price of a sequential module but it also has two more voices so seems about right to me.. dreadbox is right up there with sequential and this thing sounds epic.. I'm not really into synth's you can't play by themselves, just a weird tick I have, but otherwise this thing slams..
This synth retails for about 2300 pounds sterling in the rest of the world, yet you´re selling it for 2749. How comes there is this hefty markup of 400+ pounds when there is no duty on EU made Synths imported in the UK. Making more profit out of a limited edition?
Hehe, I scrolled down to comments to say the exact same 7 words. Silly, Silly prices. I refuse to buy new, nor highly inflated used 'reverb' prices. These synth companies need to get over setting such sick prices on their 'instruments'. For the price of this thing, you could get a stack of world instruments for samples, or a pretty nice (nonprofessional) traditional instrument. Besides, I can EQ my vst synths, add a bit of saturation to get pretty good 'analog' sounds. At least to the point where i'm very happy with the sound. I'm not selling millions of hits anyway.
@@theshillpill6937 Not easy to answer at this time and in a short answer. The prices are really getting out of hand for almost everything. You have to spend double the money now for some items. And since Synthersizer are my hobby not my profession I am not willing to pay those prices. I own 14 Synth And a ton of VST. But none of them cost more then 1600€. Most were under 1000€. For me its like buying computer games. Its not an investment its wasting (not really) money. So I have to have limits.
I said to myself hey this demo of the synth must be worth it, I can't wait to watch it. And there we have a guy who doesn't have a clue what he is doing. The least he could do is play at least one chord on an initialized preset just so we could hear how these 8 voices sound. Unfortunately no. These were the sounds that come out of the hands of a man who sits infront of an analog synthesizer for the first time in his life. Terrible.
This is one of the worst demos I’ve ever heard. This guy dialed in the worst sounds this synth is capable of. Fortunately, this synth still sounds good regardless. Pro tip: don’t set everything to max; especially, the resonance. Too bad Jack didn’t demo this one.
I don’t think the target market for this synth would make such a crappy patch when asked to make a “bass” sound. Discordant drones instead of lush chords? This demo was garbage. Thank goodness this VCO USA demo exists: ua-cam.com/video/Z-riAxIWOcQ/v-deo.htmlsi=lv9-zu1BsHORexcc
He attempts to make a “buttery” bass and one of the first things he does is crank the resonance to full blast. When the filter predictably squeals due to this, he tries to fix it by drastically lowering the tuning. Of course, this doesn’t remove the high resonance. When he finally lowers the resonance, he realizes the patch has been unnecessarily tuned down too low. Finally, he proceeds to make a discordant drone. Worst demo ever.
At nearly three grand, there are so many way cheaper alternatives that essentially achieve the same thing, that make this (admittedly beautiful looking synth) one I'll have to pass on.
I can't think of one, help me out? The only cheap polyphonic analog synth that goes into these (sonic) territories would be a Behringer UB-Xa. All other 8(+)-voice analog synths would be above 2500 € as well.

Sounds very very nice. Glad to see the murmux come back in a new form . ❤
Sounds lovely, looks amazing, some really unique architecture, and that bass is easily the most bad-ass bass I've ever heard from any synth. Tempting.
Sure its not a bargain, but the Sound is so cool and it looks like its real well built..😍 👏
That actually does sound really, ridiculously good. Something about the noise in particular has a really lovely character to my ear.
