been through shit ton of tutorial vids out there and this one is definitely making things clearest for me. not to mention you're fucking entertaining without even trying. many thanks
I don't know how often you're actually trying to be funny, but I laugh my ass off at multiple points throughout all your videos. And they're super helpful! Keep em coming because I'm subscribed!
Yo man I've been working in music off and on for years and couldn't wrap my head around this stuff and your tutorial has been super helpful. Thank you very much!
Can anyone explain to me why when you set a slow attack to give yourself a poppy transient it increases the output gain so much? I thought anything prior to the attack of the compressor should pass untouched and then the gain reduction would kick in but it seems the compressor massively increases the gain of anything before the attack??? Cheers

All of your examples and alternate names for certain settings are hilarious, yet so effective at explaining.
Definitely one of the better compression explanations out there. Thanks.

THANK YOU
I was a bit iffy with compression at first but it's all so clear now
You, sir, are a savior!
I finally get it! Thank you.
Why don't all compression plugins show you the compression envelope along a timeline! Very helpful.
I like how you have explained 'attack' Cheers!
Thats what I was aiming for. Happy to help =]

Thank you!
Superman-punch dat Like-button :D
you mean : attack and recover time.Because is the time that the compressed level needs to get recovered from the compression
threshold when youre starting out
Superman just punched me in the face,
Dmn to i had to slow reaction (to atack)
