Changing the dynamic between Eren, Mikasa, and Armin changed what there was to enjoy about the setup to Titan. I do not know what their goal was here, but it didn't work.
I don't like that they changed Eren and Mikasa relationship. In the manga and anime they have a bother and sister relationship, in the live action movies they have a lover's relationship, wtf. When I saw the 1st live action movie and saw that, I was thinking, that is sick. And I am not the only one to say that.
most people would agree, that the anime/manga Attack on Titan, and the Live Action Attack on Titan movies are both good in their own right. I agree heavily with this, and you should give the movies a bit more room
The two movies did not live to my expectations but the ending of Part 2 is worth the price of admission to both movies. I especially love that scene when Eren was falling and Mikasa saves him.
You're caring about Mikasa being weak, of all things? What? Honestly, I didn't like her being so overpowered. I liked how they made helpless for a scene, instead of a completely badass, unbeatable character. It made her seem more... Human. I don't know why you'd be complaining, for the rest of the movie, Mikasa was being all badass and killing Titans (though that's pretty much all she did in the first movie).
I hated the changes to the first movie. First of all it didnt show his mother being eaten by a titan as he has to just watch. That was an a main plot point to drive him in the story.
Never saw past episode two of the anime, and I enjoyed both movies. Also, don't know why you were complaining about things that creeped you out...they were MEANT to creep you out, that was the point!
I actually like the 1st part more since it was more of a horror movie where the 2nd movie is more of an adventure movie. Same problem I had with the anime where I liked the 1st part of the season but then felt the anime became more action then horror
I really don't know how to feel about these movies... just from what I've read and heard from you guys. I'll watch them sometime, but man... I think it may've been too early to make movies out of this series when S2 isn't even out yet, it seems a little weird. I dunno, maybe that's just me.
you are 100% right. this was a movie that was to rushed. I thought Japan was better at story telling than this. I am an avid watcher of Japanese movies and I must say this was heart wrenching to even watch. I wish they would have money there homework, I mean hell they had the perfect lesson plan right in front of them( duh the manga). I wish they of taken a lesson from some of the American movie directors or even how two and three part movies are done here in the states. I am really hoping that this awesome manga gets a do over in the cinema world here in the states, I just know we could do it Justice. So for now I will watch the anime and read the manga over and over until season two comes out.
I said Power Rangers out loud....like I was waiting for Rita to throw a staff and say let my monster grow...like it was horrible...the white room...where the hell did the beach sand come from...who changed Eren's clothes...what the fuck
*SPOILER FOR THE SECOND MOVIE I FEEL IS RELEVANT TO SOMEONE ELSE OUTSIDE MYSELF AND MY FRIEND* Jean joins Marco, Jean and Marco are together now. and I almost cried. that is all. good bye
WHY IS NO ONE TALKING ABOUT THE AFTER CREDITS SCENE?!?! ITS THE WEIRDEST BULLSHIT THEY REVEAL MIKASA AND EREN ARE TEST SUBJECTS ITS FUCKING INSANE IM STILL CONFUSED BY IT ALL THESE MONTHS LATER
The only live action movie based on an anime serie that didn't suck was Death Note because when you expect to watch in a movie is what you see in the anime. Same story, same character characteristics, same dressing, etc. When I saw Mikasa in this movie I was totally like..... WTF!!! (sorry, she is ugly) Eren......WTF!!!! story.....WTF!!!! I wonder if the creators of the movie made it based on what viewers expected to watch or based on what they thought it would be a cool thing to do.
JOTARO KUJO japanese should stick to the anime which they are good at and avoid making live action movies. They really suck. Not to mention those US movies based on anime or videogames. Honestly, when i hear that there's a live action movie about some anime coming soon, i even avoid to watch the trailer because i know i will get mad if i watch it. Hahahaha!!
Hanji I really didn't like in the movie since she was more annoying and over acting where in the anime she fits since it's animation and isn't as out of place
Anna really pisses me off with her unblissfull ignorance. Of course you must view this movie different than an American production BUT it's got certainly nothing to do with the smaller budget. Toho could drum up enough funds for much bigger films but they didn't deem it necessary. And it isn't necessary, not for the Japanese audience. Because worldwide we have a vivid imgaination and don't need everything spoonfed to us. And that's it: You've gotta watch the live adaptation differently than an American movie since it wasn't made for Americans in the first place. It has a whole different target group. It speaks maybe a bit more to the independent critical thinker, not necessarily to the ignorant US teenie trash.

Attack on Titan Part 3: Shikishima X Eren
I'm going to see it today at Tower Theatre, Sacramento. It's a really cool old cinema.
At least they had hanji
Like the first movie wasn't fucking shitty enough they came up with 2nd part?? WOW. Just WOW.
😂😂😂
+SouL Prisoner No, it came out a month after the first...it was just too long for a single release so they split it up apparently.

+Natasha Bittinger wait until you see season 2 episode 14/15
i guess im better of watching attack on titan middle school then
Do a review on the Ruroni Kenshin movies! For a live action adaptation I found them the best live action adaptations I've ever seen!
Rurouni Kenshin Was better

They wanted to do a lot of things with Attack on Titan before season 2 comes out. We call that milking.

So it's the end of... ZA WARUDO!
+max101victory dio is that u?
+max101victory END OF THE WORLD!!! Sono Chi no Kioku~.
"...Eren was just whiny through all..." "Yeah, he screams a lot."
So, they totally got him right in this adaptation!?
Agreed. When I first watched the series I hated Eren. When Levi beat the shit out of him it felt so nice, he seemed to get better later in the series.
great video but do any of you know of an app where you can watch anime?
Crunchyroll! It's a good app! It's free! Sadly the ads can get frustrating, but I was able to watch a bunch of cool Animes with it!
So no armoured Titan, no female Titan. Basically Eren and the colossus are the only known shifters? That's bullshit!
Mikasa's abs = 10 seconds or less
someone link me the full movie or something
*SPOILER FOR THE SECOND MOVIE I FEEL IS RELEVANT TO SOMEONE ELSE OUTSIDE MYSELF AND MY FRIEND*

+jiraiya04 yep i like the death note movie as well and also the way the story diverges in part 2
