I have this bag for 8 years and use it every travel, I travel to different countries for about 20 or more times a year and this bag holds up. this is the only bag I carry. I also have the travel cubes for organizing.
One of the main things that I look for on a carry-on bag is a bag that does not have a lot of pockets on the outside portion of the bag. Pickpockets will have a field day. I prefer bags that have limited outside pocket so that when it’s on your back you don’t have to worry about someone plucking your travel documents, etc. This is a good bag if you were just doing some general travel but I would not trust this internationally. Still looks like a good lower cost option. Thanks.
I just came across this bag for only $34.00 here on Amazon Japan of all places-lol. This bag has more function then the $400. Ultra backpack I was looking at. And then there's Osprey, that keep jacking their prices up and over pricing their mass produced made in Vietnam bags. For the price you can't beat it.
Great review!!!!I purchased the AmazonBasics Slim weekender version and the Hynes Eagle 38L backpack. I'm going on a 5 day trip on Spirit which allows a carry on 18x14x8. I like the Amazon bag but it seems very bulky with all the padding and the layout is awkward vs. the Hynes eagle that has much less padding and is thinner and lighter. The Hynes would probably allow more flexibility squeezing it into Spirit sizing unit for carry ons. Was wondering what you think of the quality etc of both bags and which one you would buy. Thanks!
Thanks again Chris, for this video. Your presentations are always very professional. I also own the junior motherlode, and the regular one too. Some of my favorite bags. I don't own this particular Amazon Basics backpack, but I like the compression straps and versatility of the pack and the price too😀 I do own several of Amazon Basics Large Duffel bags though, which are simply awesome and huge for stuffing everything including the kitchen sink!

@@ChrisU They're a packable style similar to the REI duffel you reviewed recently. But, they're made of nylon instead of polyester. They make great storage bags too.

I have this Amazon basics backpack and after I actually had a little bit more money, I bought the mother reg and junior size. So even though I am loving the price of the eTech I just can't justify the purchase.

I've came very close to picking up the eTech/EXO Travel bag but every time something else comes up : ) Seems to be some cross over features between the bags but I'm definitely interested in taking a closer look. Solid price for sure! I may have to move it up my list. Thank you for the suggestion/idea!
@@ChrisU the Amazon travel backpack is actually model after the eTech 2.0 version. They are almost exact. That may be why ebags changed it up a bit with the 3.0 version.
