1:16:13 Bretons (the race of the knight they were fighting) are, as you know, halflings. They're a race crossbred from elves and ancient men (usually Atmora or the Nedics), giving them an innate resistance to the arcane arts. Their knights are widely feared for their prowess on the battlefield and the knights of High Rock are infamous for their foreboding martial skill and impressive understanding of countering magical offensives. Truly, if the Breton weren't always so eager to fight each other, High Rock would be a much more well-respected military power.

The factions that win are the ones that don't nerf themselves. Imperials, High Elves, and more recently the Argonians don't have the same internal discourse seen in the other races. Morrowind once had more land, more cities, and more power than any other race but their God Kings were slain and they were met with multiple catastrophes, and that still only brought them down to the level of everyone else. Nords used to have great wizards and warriors called "Tongues" that rivaled dragons, but of all the races Nords are possibly the most distant from their ancient traditions.

it's so funny seeing people who do not play ESO say that the Ascendant Lord is a Breton because that's what the marketing material suggested, when it gets revealed that he is in fact a fucking Imperial and he's only related to Bretons due to long lost parentage (which makes him believe that he's entitled to being the Druid King but that's irrelevant). The only real Breton in these trailers is the "rogue".

ESO is set 2E 582. For context, Skyrim is set 4E 201, so that's around 1000 years apart.
As for the setting, the 2nd Empire has fallen. Emperor Reman Cyrodiil 3rd was assassinated by the Morag Tong, as were his Potentates (think like the Stewards of Gondor), leaving the throne of Tamriel empty. In the chaos, 3 alliances have formed to try and fill the power vacuum: The Aldmeri Dominion (Altmer, Bosmer, Khajjit) which seeks to re-establish elven dominance over Tamriel, the Daggerfall Covenant (Bretons, Redguards, Orcs) which seeks to restore the 2nd Empire, and the Ebonheart Pact (Nords, Dunmer, Argonians) which seeks to protect it's own independence againts the two other powers.
During this time, the Daedric Prince Molag Bal has begun an invasion of Tamriel, aiming to conquer it and make it a part of his realm.
It's all very violent, lots of people are dying, things are quite dramatic.

So for the Greymoor question "why Vampire lord has werewolf army?". In First Era there was an alliance of vampire and werewolves called the Gray Host. At the beginning they were all about showing normal mortals, that people, werewolves and vampires, can live together in peace. But later they change policy and went to conquer Tamriel. Finaly they were stopped and almost every member of the Grey Host was killed.
In ESO Greymoor, somebody tries to resurect Grey Host and they do that by resurecting members of it. This weird golem-like things are magical devices used to bring them back to live. But more like... Revivify spell from D&D than necromancy.

    40:14 Nocturnal.

Molag Bal is the Daedric Prince of Domination and Undeath, and those Daedra in the second cinematic are Xivkyn, created by Molag Bal to serve him. They corrupted the Breton Hero and turn him into a Necromancer.
The guy in "The Siege" is Mannimarco, King of Worms, the most infamous necromancer in the history of Tamriel. He is working with Molag Bal to unleash something called the Planemeld, where Nirn and Coldharbour (Molag Bal's daedric realm) merge, and he can then manifest and collect souls to his heart's content.
The Dark Elf chick in the Morrowind trailer is Naryu Virian, a Morag Tong assassin who occasionally helps you when you bump into her in the world. Her partner in this is a Warden, the first new character class one can play as, with power over cold magic, beasts and plants.
"Those things" in the Summerset trailer are Yaghra, deep-sea creatures that serve the Sload, who are invading the Summerset Isles (ancestral home of the Altmer). in this chapter the Altmer grudgingly allow access to the 'lesser' races of Tamriel so that they can fight back this threat. The dude with the dog is Clavicus Vile, who has brokered a deal with Mephala and Nocturnal to aid the Sload in taking the island. "For purity" is said because many Altmer oppose the opening of their land, they're extremely racist :P The Khajiit in this one is Razum-dar, one of the Eyes of the Queen (of the Aldmeri Dominion)
In the Elsweyr trailer, the older man is Imperial Battlemage Abnur Tharn (voiced by the epic Alfred Molina), joined by Khamira, a Khajiit servant of the Mane (the ruler of the Khajiit). They were investigating a mysterious tablet that led to the release of imprisoned dragons, and saw the rise of a new Necromantic cult in Elsweyr (and in this chapter the Necromancer became a playable class). Don't feel bad for the dragon, they're all murderous dicks lol
That tall glass of water is Lyris Titanborn, a half-giant who you've been fighting with since the beginning of the game, (and voiced by the always awesome Jennifer Hale). The Greymoor chapter introduced the western half of Skyrim (previously only Eastmarch and Riften were explorable, with Falkreath only available as a dungeon), so now we could go to Solitude, Morthal, Markarth, Labyrinthian, and best of all, BLACKREACH. This also saw a revamp of the Vampire skill line so that one could play it as a primary skill line instead of just for secondary stats.
The vampires have werewolves in their army because they are all a part of the Grey Host, a force of vampires and werewolves loyal to Molag Bal that existed in the First Age, but was defeated and their remains burned and stored in the Unhallowed Grave. Rada al-Saran was the only vampire lord to escape (the dude in this vid), and he began collecting the ashes to resurrect the Host and take over Skyrim.
It has since been retconned that Oblivion is the plane of existence where the Daedric Princes each have their own realms, and it is theorized but has not been confirmed, that Nirn (our world) is the realm of Magnus, the Aedra that created it in the first place. The specific realm of Mehrunes Dagon (the big four armed dude) is called The Deadlands, and is basically Hell. This takes place before the GAME Oblivion, so this is technically his first attempt to invade Nirn via the province of Blackwood, a section of Cyrodiil that borders Black Marsh.

But like how & why the bosmer was chained up ? I mean like obviously it was to use her magic.. so the nord just picked Picked her just to use her to fight back against the daedra at this battle in which looks like it was imperial city ?

    • @cameronmccawley2348
      @cameronmccawley2348 8 місяців тому

At that stage the Worm Cult influence is pretty strong, so there's a lot of mistrust within and between alliances. So any tool to gain an advantage in the battle for control over the Imperial City is going to be used to crown a new emperor. Cyrodiil and Imperial City are both PVP zones in the game - as such there are sometimes temporary 2v1 situations, or at least non-aggression agreements. You can play across alliances everywhere else though.

    • @johnnyperry1471
      @johnnyperry1471 8 місяців тому

So the creation myth is purposefully obscured since every book in the games are written from a biased perspective. There are some connections between the religions and Mundas the realm that Nirn resides was created by Lorkhan (or whatever name is chosen for this figure by their respective religion). The Aedra and Magna Ge worked with Lorkhan to create a realm separate from the two other realms, one of which being Oblivian. Lorkhan however did not inform the other Et-Ada (original spirits) that creating Mundas would cost them their power. The Aedra or the Et-Ada that finished the process and sacrificed power to build Mundas and became the planets in the solar system leaving the divines as a permanent part of Mundas. The Magna Ge are the ones who learned of Lorkhan's treachery and abandoned Mundas. Their escape during creation tore holes in creation allowing magic to seep through the holes creating stars. The largest hole is the Sun and was made when Magnus who was the main architect of Mundas left. He was the one who organized abandoning creation so the Magna Ge are named after him. Finally the Deadra are left as the spirits who were uninvolved in creation. They have the most power due to being uninvolved but they also exist outside of Mundas. The Aedra destroyed Lorkhan and his body is either Nirn itself or maybe the moons. It is confusing because some references say both are true. Still the Realms remain being Aetherius, Oblivion, and Mundas, with individual planes held within them. Oblivion the realm the deadra live in and Aetherius being were magika comes from. It is tough to make a comprehensive history since each of these figures have at least three different names and depending on the gods worshiped are given more detail to their part in it. Since each figure couldn't have orchestrated it all there is a lot of conflicting information. This doesn't even go into the earlier creation of Atherius and Oblivion and how who Lorkham, Anu, Sithis, and the others are, who created the Et-Ada.

For the first three cinematic trailers, they were showing the major alliances (which are all at odds with each other, at for the first part of the game). You have the Ebonheart Pact (Nord, Dunmer, Argonian), the Aldmeri Dominion (Altmer, Bosmer, Khajiit), and the Daggerfall Covenant (Breton, Orc, and Redguard). In the Summerset trailer, I thought you would recognize Barbas and Clavicus Vile when you saw the dog (they show up in Skyrim), but apparently not. That whole DLC storyline is dealing with a plot involving three Daedric Princes. You were quick to spot daedra shenanigans in the first, but seemed to forget they were a thing by the Summerset trailer. In the Dark Heart of Skyrim, the "giant lady" is Lyris Titanborn. She's only half giant. ;)

The statues in the Skyrim trailers are basically incubators for werewolves and vampires. Since they're both Daedric, when they die their souls go to Oblivion by default. This was also what the Companions questline in Skyrim was about. One vampire lord found a way to bypass that with a loophole by basically pulling the souls back from Oblivion and regrowing them in the stone husks. It's pretty much an alliance of cursed creatures trying to pull the worlds biggest "get out of Hell free" scam. Problem is they need a lot of mortal souls to drag one of their own back, which is why that village was desolated.

So... About Oblivion, it is one of the three planes of existence in the universe (aurbis), the other ones being Mundus (the mortal plane) and Aetherius (the plane of the original original spirits and deities). The Aedra created Mundus and sacrificed themselves in doing so, some say they were tricked, others that it was a willing choice. Oblivion is the plane of the Daedra, spirits that didn't help create Mundus and thus remained at the peak of their power. Finally, Aetherius is the place where some spirits fled when they realized they were going to lose their power if they kept helping in the creation of Mundus, and the Sun (Magnus) and the stars (Magna Ge) are the places where they escaped and left "holes" between those two planes.

The Daedra in the second Cinematic are subordinates of the Prince Molag Bal (Meaning Stone Fire), and his entire sphere of influence is the domination and enslavement of mortals. One of his most powerful followers, the white haired elf with the black armor, is Mannimarco aka The King of Worms and the head of the Order of the Black Worm, a Necromantic Cult, because Bal’s Daedra and Followers are usually Necromancers.
The big fleshy thing fighting alongside the Daedra is called a Flesh Atronach, abominations of flesh and bone created with Necromancy.

Skyrim takes place in the 4th Era, this game is set in the 2nd. (So it's a bit like The Old Republic in that it's set far before the events of Elder Scrolls 1-5). The lore of Elder Scrolls holds that the Dragonborn Emperors of Cyrodiil, having made a pact with Akatosh, use the Amulet of Kings to light the Dragonfires and keep the Gates of Oblivion closed and the Daedra at bay. So with the Imperial throne empty, the barriers have been lowered, so Tamriel is being invaded by Molag Bal (the Daedric Prince responsible for the curse of vampirism, btw)...this is on top of the three alliances all waging war for control of Cyrodiil.

So to answer a few questions, ESO is set 1000 years before Skyrim, in a time where the second empire has fallen and 3 alliances are fighting over what's left. At the same time Molag Bal is invading from his own plane of Oblivion (Oblivion is a collection of realms belonging to Daedra). The trio at the start are supposed to be a player from each alliance, every other character in the trailers is an actual story character.
Morrowind and Summerset are part of a longer story of a Daedric alliance of Clavicus Vile, Mephala and Nocturnal, all of which were the ones watching in the background. Parts of both Morrowind and Summerset were already in the base game, Morrowind just added the setting of Morrowind the game, and Summerset the biggest of the Summerset isles.
Elsweyr is caused by a basegame story character trying to find a weapon to free Elsweyr from Imperial occupation, and accidentally unleashes dragons. This leads to a threat of one of them trying to effectively overthrow a god.
The Dark Heart of Skyrim is about the return on an ancient werewolf and vampire army, the Grey Host (lore can be found on this in Skyrim), and going down into the depths of Blackreach to stop it.
Gates of Oblivion is about an invasion by Mehrunes Dagon, the same Daedric prince who'd later invade the same way in Oblivion the game, around 800 years later.
High Isle is the biggest of a set of islands for to the west of High Rock (the Breton homeland), where peace talks between the alliances were finally being made. The threat is another faction taking advantage of these for power.
I don't know exactly what Shadow over Morrowind is about, but it's the beginning of another multi-year arc like Morrowind > Summerset, and it deals with the Daedric prince of knowledge, Hermaeus Mora.

That last scene... Is HERMAOUS MORA, Daedric Prince of fate and Forbidden Knowledge. Inspired by Cthulu and Lovecraftian mythos. And my favorite Daedric Prince next to Boethia, Mephala, and MOLAG BAL.

From what I gathered watching these over the years' before the elve finished our Rouge boy she had imbued the broken blade with magic which I would guess she used to free her as he was already near the end. So it freed him of the curse as he took his last breathes and looks outwards I would guess seeing the women in the blue dress and you see a look of relief at end. While the corruption falls and the dark mists dissipate around him. But anyways great reaction bro and highly recommend playing oblivion or watching the game for the lore 😊

Yeah he is. Clavicus Vile and his dog Barnabas. So yeah he is a daedric prince. If you wanna do a quest for Clavicus on Skyrim Fast travel or walk to Falkreath and a guard there will speak to you automatically asking you if you’ve seen a dog. Than after that turn around away from falkreath and walk down the road a bit and you will run into Barnabas.

Winterhold is also a small town it’s not a city so that was clear give away on it not being Winterhold because the place that was shown was a city 3 to 4 times the size of Winterhold.

4 months late, but since you were unsure about Morrowind being the first in the series... It wasn't. The first game in the series was The Elder Scrolls: Arena, the next was The Elder Scrolls II: Daggerfall, then The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind, then two spinoffs called Battlespire and Redguard, then The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, then The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, then The Elder Scrolls Online, then The Elder Scrolls Legends, and then finally The Elder Scrolls Blades.

I would love if you reacted to all of the For Honor cinematic trailers. They’re very beautiful and have some cool story behind them. Basically For Honor is an alternate history game with some fantasy elements. There’s also 5 factions Knights(9 Knights two of which are Romans), Vikings (7 Vikings and one is a Scottish Highlander and another is most likely Celtic. We’ll also be getting another Viking hero soon), Samurai (8 Samurai), Wu Lin (14th Century Ming Dynasty Chinese warriors and there are 5 Wu Lin), and Outlanders which has a Cantonese pirate, an Ancient Egyptian, an Arabic warrior, and an Aztec warrior. So we currently have 32 characters in the game. I think you’d possibly find it interesting.

So about the werewolf's and vampires working together was because the vampires were using a spell to control then, those weird statues they were coming from are used to revive then
The vampire curse in the Elder Sroll universe was created by Molag Bal, so when a vampire dies their soul belong to him, the werewolf curse was created by Hircine and when they die their souls belong to him, the main enemy in Greymoor was trying to find a way to stop vampire souls to be taken by molag bal, so he created those statues to trap they own souls and be reborn again, he convinced a werewolf leader to join him in exchange of eternal life by beign reborn using the statues, but he trick them and he put a controlling spell so they have to obey him
He wanted to be free of molag bal influence because he betray them, during the first era Molag Bal created an army of vampires to take over Tamriel, he failed and upon defeat their souls were taken by Molag bal and torture, only one vampire survived, the main enemy, so he wants to revive the old army and freeing the souls from Molag Bal control

from what i noticed and Understand every single Alliance has side groups that do evil stuff like that in order to win the war faster.
tho with how the pact is grouped you would expect more evil with the pact and the dark elves in particular since dark elves practice slavery slightly do Necromancy and consort with Deadra.

    For your info...
The stories of the DLCs Clockwork City, Morrowind and Summerset are linked... it is one big story
DLC Elsweyr is about accidentally freeing ancient dragons who were imprisoned by a legendary Khajit. Dragons have a drive for domination by nature. The leader of these dragons tries to gain access to a vast storage of magic energy
Greymoor is about a a group of vampires and witches trying to resurrect and awake the Grey Host, an ancient allied group of vampires and werewolves in Western Skyrim
Gates of Oblivion and Deadlands is actually the previous history of the game TES Oblivion, where the Daedric Prince Merunes Dagon attempts to invade Tamriel. You get help from an Daedric ally to avoid that.
The DLC High Isle story is about a meeting of the 3 faction leader on the Breton island High Isle for peace talks....
At their arrival their ships were attacked, the leaders kidnapped or went missing...

Gotta play Morrowind it’s so alien and really beautiful while beings brutally hard. The story is by far the best in the series awhile the characters development is truly godlike you go from a chump picking leaves to a high level god like character that can do anything this takes a long time but it’s worth it. The Dunmer society is so unique but it’s also very grounded in reality with how it works. The lore is actually fucking batshit insane like they made a script then Todd Howard did crack one night and that’s the plot lol.
