All these reviews I'm seeing on UA-cam are great, but it would be nice to see someone do a clear and concise video on how to program the DIY scene feature to achieve the desired results. So far I have found none that explain the steps for ease of setup. Finally figured out they won't do what I expected. Returned them. I'll make my own controller and use strip lights.
i LOVE these light bulbs, my god Philips hue could learn a thing or two, it was so simple to plug the bulb in, load up the app and away you go, now my whole room flickers like candles. along with my computer.
You sir are awesome. One of my bulbs disconnected. Checked govee turn off unplug uninstall reinstall app. Then after a week gave up then typed in Google and your video set me back up. Awesome thanks for the video
Just bought these lightbulbs for myself on prime day. They’re really cool my only nitpick cause I wish you could change all of them at once instead of having to go into each individual bulb.
There really is no way to make multiple bulbs sync in party mode?
Uh what? Make a group? I can control all mine based on groups no issue
@MrZambrano101 There is. If you, lets say, want all your bulbs to change colors in sync, all you gotta do is select your prefered setup for both, then when youre done, just flip your light switch off and back on. When they turn back on, theyll be in sync

If you were to screw those Govee bulbs into a lamp where you tap the base to turn it on, and adjust the brightness, would it still work?
would turning your actual light switch off affect the connection from your phone to the light bulb? will this also consume any power when the bulb is turned off from the app?

I would say check the lumens of the bulb you’re buying to make sure it’s bright enough.

How do I get it to connect if my wifi isn’t 2.4ghz ? I bought the light bulbs and tv lights and permanent outdoor lights and idk how to get any of them to work 😢
I tried to get it connected to the wifi but its not connecting. Didnt know i had to have a 2.4ghz and not 5ghz. Cant even use it with Alexa. What a jip
Good video. I have the govee back light led strips for yv but changed tvs and moved the strips but don't stick as well on new TV. Is there a tape and brand you recommend to re apply?

@@cccheeks8819 ya holy shit. I got a response from sumone. Thanx!. I bought 4 govee lights from amazon. Just the cheaper single lights...but there is another model by govee (they look the same as the cheaper ones), but they actually pair up and work together. I think mine are the h6001 type. I need to bluetooth each one at a time. Pain in the ass.

Most likely! They work like normal light bulbs except you can change the color. I dont know how color will be affected but it doesnt hurt to try!

after i connect my device in the govee app, there is no prompt for wifi settings or anything like that, it just brings me straight to the brightness DIY scenes etc. I cannot find a solution on why i cant connect my led strips to wifi. I want to be able to connect my led strips to my pc so i can sync them with my rgb case fans.
What about local control? For example turning the lights on/off via a physical switch.

with grouping or I use Amazon alexa and I have echo dots all around the house
How do you reset the default color? I changed the color to white, but when I turn it off and on again, it defaults back to red.

Yea you can. Gotta go to the home tab in the govee app and create a "group"

My bulbs don’t even turn on with the switch… they just flash quick and turn off

These are garbage! I put in 4 bulbs, but only one works. No matter how I try, I can't get more than one to work.
Wth do they sell 4 in a box, but only one works at a time.
Btw, all 4 work simultaneously in just white light mode with the light switch. But only one works with the app.

oddly enough i just got a four pack and can only get one to connect to wifi. not sure whats up with that but their app sucks so im not missing out on much
@hatdag8395 Right? And why do they have to be wifi AND Bluetooth?
Plus, the wifi seems to only work on a 2g network, so I have to close out the 5g just to use the govee bulb on 2g.
I'm older, so I figured it's probably just me, but maybe not. What do I know?
@@borg386 i ended up fixing it. im not sure what the issue was. i just set it down then came back later and all the bulbs connected to wifi no problem. it was the same network and password too... not sure what i was doing wrong, honestly
