Dave's vocal work is just about the best I've heard - he can go so deep yet stay in tune and you can still understand the words. His range is also incredible.
@@jeffaffa3412 Well at least there is something useful among this world full of social media posers. If you like this you should check out Behemoth and Vader (especially the song 'Predator').
I absolutely am in love with morbid angel. They earned a special place on my battle vest. This world needs to realize this music is pure talent. Thats why metalheads are superior. We have a love and passion for unsurpassed talent. Nothing compares
I can remember watching my buddy play bass and singin' for them... Steve Tucker was from my home town and I bought his B.C. Rich bass he played live with Morbid in Cincinnati, Ohio....................
Total win. One of my favorite Morbid Angel songs and damn good performance. Some like Dave, some hate him. But regardless of the stance, you can't deny the guy delivers.
mechanoid2k because of the apparent musical direction he has taken Morbid Angel to now, and how he caries himself. He took Morbid into an industrial death metal sound, different from the straight up death metal Morbid has done in the past.
could care less how he dressed or if he was half to blame for creating illustration. He will always be the front man that created the best Morbid songs. some swear by gateways but everybody knows Morbid best is with David. I miss him but appreciate his time in MA.
You know, i respect the fact that Pete decided to change his life around, but can't deny that it was still really sad that he left Morbid Angel because of it.
***** It doesn't have to be that way, beliefs and music can be separated. But i think that regardless of the band, they were friends for many years, and the friendship was over, i assume, just for Pete's beliefs change... I mean, it's preety bad to end the friendship after so many years like that.
***** I saw a recent interview with Pete here on youtube, and he said that he doesn't miss morbid angel at all, but he doesn't regret what he accomplished with the band. But he also said that he really doesn't listen to the records anymore.
***** Yeah, true story. I think it's cool Terrorizer keeps doing what they've done lyrical wise despite Pete's beliefs. But about MA, even if David is a jerk, and Pete could have easily came back, he said it himself he just would never come back to MA, so the problem wouldn't be David anyhow... David just left the band anyways, Steve Tucker is back xD
***** Haha, totally agree man. It would have been better if the guys from MA just made a new project and make Illud instead of ruining MA's name... I don't hold much expectations at this point, actually i don't care that much. When they release a new album i'll check it out, if it's cool, awesome. If not, whatever. The classics are always there, nothing will change that.
***** Yes, you're absolutely right. Nothing lasts forever indeed. Some bands can go up to 40 years playing music, that's great, but even a band only lasts like 5 years, which is nothing... But the spark no longer is there, it's better to just get it over with, and make those 5 years last forever with a good memory. And a lot of bands just keep beating up a dead horse.
I agree with everyone who prays to Morbid Angel. It doesn't matter which bands do you listen to. These guys are amazing, they know how to rock and, how to say, to present their music to the listeners and fans live. This band deserves respect and appreciation!
ya, this is pretty much the best video ive ever seen. With Erik Rutan back, even for fleeting moments, Morbid Angel was back to their best lineup. And this is an awesome song in the best venue ever. Awesome.
Hahahaha...poser metal! That's hilarious dude! I only ever got to see these guys on the pantera extreme steel tour. They opened with summoning redemption ( one of my favorite metal songs ever) and closed with rapture. They only were able to play 6 songs, but wow...holy shit was it intense. Pete Sandoval on the drums.....man he was NUTS.
I saw them on that tour I think, with Soulfly? It was funny 'cause my buddy was there for soulfly, I was there for MA, and we were both kinds bored for Pantera's set LOL.
@ghfghf3145 I was there and I remember clearly when Trey went to the microphone and said "let's go fucking crazy cause nobody is playing like this here". Turns out he was right. By far the best perfomance on Wacken 2006.
No, they can't. It would be technologically impossible. I'm not saying HD did not exist in 2006 but people started to buy HD-ready (not full HD) tv's around 2009 and to have a full hd camera in 2006 would have been unrealistic.
***** well, I guess that's basically fair enough... though, I've been enjoying this since about it's release! As for the visual aspect of the video I do think it has been tainted by that hideous spandex pleather over-the-top pentagram shirt. It defies statements and imagery which I feel has been pretty well curated throughout their duration.. that is until David returned with his new found level of douchbaggery (according to stories David had always been a real self absorbed prick). I guess what disturbs me most about the video is that there has been so few professionally recorded multi-camera and this one features way too much of that obnoxious hot-topic-discount-rack shirt. Other than that complaint, this is excellent, everyone is on fucking point and it's so nice to see MA ripping up Waken. On a side note: Trey is such a badass I can't even knock those baggy buckle pants.
I've seen MORBID ANGEL with Dave LOMBARDO's GRIP Inc. in FORT LAUDERDALE,Florida and they raptured my total attention they were jamming so hard that they kicked my ass i was out in the mosh pit wore out thou I made it through someday I'll make it to Metalhead's Dream WACKEN FESTIVAL in GERMANY awesome!!!
I saw this live at that WOA's edition and this was one of the best death metal live that I've ever seen. Only tracks from the first 4 albums ... It was really incredible.
Brilliant voice, the best in death metal. I attended this performance with a broken back that I was inflicted the day before. I found out that later and are suffering from it to this day.
cannot wait for the letter "I" album. i've been waiting long enough and now that david vincent is back...man that album needs to come out, it's too bad that they won't have pete sandoval, although tim yeung is excellent...and i hope the album will be as well
Dave's vocal work is just about the best I've heard - he can go so deep yet stay in tune and you can still understand the words. His range is also incredible.
Probably the best live performave I've heard in that genre for like forever. Awesome
Right!!!!!!!!!
Kinda a coincidence I first came across this vid on a vid Loudwire did listing top 10 death metal vocalists you can understand
@@jeffaffa3412 same and also I got introduced to bloodbath. Love the song Eaten from The 2005 performance
@@jeffaffa3412 Well at least there is something useful among this world full of social media posers. If you like this you should check out Behemoth and Vader (especially the song 'Predator').
Trey & Eric is one of the greatest duo ever
0:35 trey setting the stance for all the metal core kids
Only Trey does it right and not like these swagfag emo kids nowadays...
Eric Rutan is a Monster player.
Azagthoth and Rutan: by far the best and most creative guitarists in death metal.
Funk musician here. This groove is amazing!
Best Death Metal ever.
I think this song is death core
+mitchmarcott It`s death metal
+mitchmarcott Pfft! Deathcore didn't exist in the 90's, it came about after nu-metal died
F0untain could u call this black metal then?
This band makes me happy to be from Florida

Its crazy how David can play good bass and growls at the same time, without even looking at his bass.
Total win. One of my favorite Morbid Angel songs and damn good performance. Some like Dave, some hate him. But regardless of the stance, you can't deny the guy delivers.
Why do some people hate him?
mechanoid2k because of the apparent musical direction he has taken Morbid Angel to now, and how he caries himself. He took Morbid into an industrial death metal sound, different from the straight up death metal Morbid has done in the past.
Alex Williams So people are angry about change basically?
pretty much. They also don't like David's new look, calling him a "Nikki Sixx poser."
Alex Williams Hehe yup. A metalhead's quest to be more evil than the next guy is never over.
I want this band back with THIS line up. Badly.
i wish todays bands would sound and look as old school as morbid angel they are so god damn awesome!
Sanguisugabogg

+Alyssa D. formulas was my favorite. same lineup as gateways if I'm not mistaken.
without Rutan
Gateways and Formulas were the best..
Tucker is 10 times better than Vincent..
Erik Rutan did a fucking awesome job stepping in on the rhythm guitar for this gig. Hail Morbid Angel!
His album with MA was my favorite. Melodic leads FTW.
Old School Death Metal lml
vocals sound exactly like the album. impressive.
Obviously without effects
Fuck, the tempo change in 3:28 is SO fucking amazing. And then this solo... Definately one of the best songs of Morbid Angel.

One of the Greatest Lineup in the History
One heavy, dirty, mighty piece of a song.
Best song imo of any genre. I could listen to this forever and still not get tired.

This songs sound insane live. Generally seeing Morbid Angel gig is strongly recommended
i love those neon green pickups
I saw Megadeth in 91, the next year I saw these guys, to this day not a lot has got close
Most iconic and Perfect Solo of History Of Death Metal, In My Opinion🔥🤛🏼
fuck yeah morbid angel! can't wait for the new album!
these guys never disapoint
2023 Where the Slime Live?? Everywhere.🤘🤘🤘
3:25 gives me chills, it's just the bass drum and Dave yelling oooh makes it so much more powerful
its a snare drum =)

Morbid Angel is the undestructable titan of death metal
the feeling of listening to morbid angel music is you feel like you are in a cave alone! since the first album from now.
best gig i have ever seen of one over 1000.... genius..... yeeeeeeeeeeeeeessssssssssss

i love all kinds of death metal and most kinds of metal in general. But oldschool death metal like this is without any doubt the best!
Awesome performance on this song. Love the guitars used also.
why overanalyze shit, the riffs are fucking sick
ARGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH... THIS SONG IS A SICK
I like treys guitar with the green pickups, awesome
Been jamming to this and older Morbid lately. So good! Love the smooth double kick transitions on this.
I really want Trey's guitar! But it's so hard to find that one!
Loudwire's top 10 death metal vocalists you can understand vid brought me here
One of my favorite Morbid Angel songs....
Their tone and large sound is immense compared to some of the older live shows they did, fucking brutal I love it.
fucking awesome........FUCKING AWESOME .....AAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRGGGHHHHHHHHHH!
This song destroys...
Awesome song!
I...can't...stop...HEADBANGING!
HAHAHA nice pentagram shirt...

this song is so powerfull !! also fantastic performance
Today was the first time I listened this song and it already made me want to see these guys live. Fucking awesome
Can someone, somewhere, upload this, (or the whole show! [a man can dream]) in much better quality?
No, they can't. It would be technologically impossible. I'm not saying HD did not exist in 2006 but people started to buy HD-ready (not full HD) tv's around 2009 and to have a full hd camera in 2006 would have been unrealistic.
That guitarist looks like he could have stared in Wrong Turn, or some other fucked up hill-billy movie
thats Erik Rutan from Hate Eternal.
This was incredible.
The way he backed away from the mike with his evil laugh at the end..
It's just 👌
Lowest setting on a Ibanez jem,,,,,without crashing out..............brilliant playing,,,so long ago!,,,A-PLUS😈😈
Wow.. David Vincent's "shirt" is a real embarrassment
not as much as you are

Nice and interesting video ,great song , great music
Beautiful lol just Beautiful
Excellent
This sound... fantastic
And perfect drums...
they are all wicked bands!!!!
78 people have the nerve to dislike the 2nd best old school death metal band of all time!!
The riff that starts after about three and a half minutes with the solo section - one of the best riffs I've ever heard! Fuckin' love it!
Brilliant voice, the best in death metal. I attended this performance with a broken back that I was inflicted the day before. I found out that later and are suffering from it to this day.
Morbid Angel and Korpiklaani BOTH killed at this Wacken. God 2006 was a great year.
That overhead view is sick.
My one favorites, real classic, really slime song! Very awesome riff.
cannot wait for the letter "I" album. i've been waiting long enough and now that david vincent is back...man that album needs to come out, it's too bad that they won't have pete sandoval, although tim yeung is excellent...and i hope the album will be as well
And what do you think of it lmao
Trey, you're my master.
