This song never gets old! It touches me the same way each time I hear it and the Gaithers singing it is truly wonderful and beautiful! I can visually imagine heaven with the Gaithers singing! It will be the most wonderful place to be!
It's very obvious that the entire chorus knew this hymn, and loved it very much. My grandmother taught me to play this song when I was 9, and she took me to church every time the doors were open. I loved her very much, and I hope to see her in Heaven !!

Each time I watch one of these Gaither videos, I marvel at the cross-section of ages of all the musicians, from the singers to the orchestra. It's an absolute wonder how they all simply gel. And regardless of who sings, they show their appreciation when the song is finished. We are blessed to bear witness to the praise come from these accomplished musicians

This is the most beautifully worship song I know. I first heard sung by Bev at the Billy Graham crusade in England in the 60s. We sang it at our wedding in the 70s. Even my brothers, unsaved loved it. When I go to glory I want it as a testimony song to my family. Praise our wonderful Saviour.

Am I the only one touched because I'm seeing black and white people become united?
There is no difference in skin color when it comes to the love of God. Gaither features many black people in the music they present. Currently the baitone in the vocal band is black, and he is excellent. In the chorus you will see Wintney Phipps, and two or three other well know black vocalists, male and female. That is as it should be. God made us all, and loves us all, equally. Praise Him.

This is why I love music whether its jazz, pop, classical or gospel. It transcends so many boundaries. In fact I have a friend in my string ensemble who barely speaks English but that doesn't matter when we play together. Perhaps this is why the Bible has so many references to music and praising God. It unites us all regardless of age, gender, race or status.
I didn't see it but that is the way that is the way it is supposed to be. We need more exposure to the main stream media for our younger ones seeing it too. So much in this world needs to be uplifted rather than torn down.

wow.. sad.. this shows anybody can "proclaim" there a Christian.. they have all these old country singers that turned their back on god to sing wordly music.. so discouraging to see this.. I could have been a "good ole Christian" years ago if id knows this... wow!
Wow, judgemental much? You don't know the hearts of these men. Larry Gatlin fell away for a while, but is now strong in his faith, his family legacy in Christian music goes way back. Yes, the Oak Ridge Boys did have some secular success, but they are all men of deep, personal faith. Their last three albums they released were all Gospel albums. The love of God runs deep in much of country music whether they are songs meant to praise God or songs meant to entertain men. I would recommend keeping your judgemental attitude to yourself. "And He will delight in the fear of the Lord , And He will not judge by what His eyes see, Nor make a decision by what His ears hear;" - Isaiah 11:3 NASB
So rich the lyrics...Feel grateful every day in my life most of all every Sabbath when we sing it on church. Amen.
