This is a great video. Awesome detail. You know the person knows their way around metal work when they show video (of what I would consider) a rotted panel and they casually say "we'll just clean this up!!!" LOL!! Tells you how little I know. I admire your confidence and skill.
Thanks. I'm no expert, but it will get done. I just posted a new video. Lots of good videos on restoration though. One of my favorites on UA-cam is from Gibson63. Does some great work on a pair of 63 Chev C10 pickups.
Good to hear your optimizem with this piece of history. A lot of work ahead of you but worth it. One job at a time. It's like the old saying "How do you eat an elephant", ONE BITE AT A TIME. Hope you make a video on each job to give us the confidence to do the same. Good Luck.
Thanks. Been delayed without a good mig welder until a couple of weeks ago. Picked up a Lincoln MigPak 180, night & day difference over the other one I was trying to use. Using the Lincoln is like sewing with thread. Just had snow in our area over the past week, really wish the garage was heated. Will post another video at a later date.
Thanks. Had a couple of videos I was going to post then my computer died and I lost them. Winter has now gripped our area and I'm paused until warmer weather. But rest assured we will post some more as soon as we can.

Im in the same scenario with both my impalas, currently working on my cowl section and top dash repair, looking forward to your videos 👍

Awesome info. I have a 66 Caprice with a 396 that I inherited from my father. Got it running but kind of stuck as to what to do next.

Thanks. Work been taking up time lately but will update as we go.
Hey , Where Did You Get Your Body Jack From
KMS Tools where I am. Most automotive tool places usually have them.
Looks like base impala trim/what denotes it's an SS ?
Well to start, it came with "Super Sport" emblems on the original fenders, etc. Also decoded the VIN & the cowl tag, both prove it to be an actual SS.

I'm view "327" imagine that!
Looks like someone tried to tub the thing at one point
