I was locked up for 3 years, and we used to have this machine where we would plug in our mp3 player to get songs, and I remember watching the last of us 2 trailer on tv and it had this song, so I made one of the guards google that song for me got me the name and went to look for these songs on the machine and nothing was found, I was super sad, I would wake up every day and try to see if it was available to no avail, eventually like a month or two after that I went to the machine because I was bored, and suddenly there it is, true faith, through the valley, wayfaring stranger, and and take on me, I freaking almost jumped and got all 4, well I had a lot of music in my mp3 but these 4 songs is what kept me strong and happy during those though times, especially true faith, I remember every time I would hear it I would get shivers down my spine, usually with music it get would get boring after a few weeks, but these songs never did , they never lost their power, and whenever I hear these songs, I almost wanna cry because they mean so much to me, I may not have been fighting zombies, but I was definitely fighting some very difficult circumstances, some I would never wish upon my worse enemy.. now that I am out, life has a new meaning and everything is full of color and magic, but I am after all still just a poor, "wayfaring stranger"
traveling through this world of woes, yet with "a true faith" that life is amazing, wish you all that are having a difficult time the best and I promise you will make it through "the valley of the shadow of death", because at the end it will be worth it ! stay strong.
