- Part 2 of our lake trout fishing series. Today we're on a different lake and every trout we catch is huge! Multiple 20+ pound trout brought to the boat! The quality of these mackinaw trout in central oregon is so amazing! We're so excited to finally bring you this 3 part series called The Hunt. We traveled to Central Oregon in search of record lake trout on some of the most beautiful lakes in the world! Oregon’s state record for lake trout is 40.5 pounds, caught in Central Oregon at Odell Lake in the 1980s.
Mackinaw Lake Trout prefer deep cold lakes with lots of food to make them big and fat. A lot of these lakes in Washington and Oregon have large populations of Kokanee, a perfect food source for these trout. Only a few Oregon lakes have been planted with these huge trout and we really want to break the record! Thanks for tuning in, please subscribe and turn on the bell so you don't miss part 2 and 3, they get better each day!!

U guys are literally my inspiration, I’m 19 years old and live in Clackamas Oregon and all I do after work in the fall.... if my wife lets... us chase the salmon wish we could fish together that would be a dream come true but thanks to you guys..... I keep grinding for salmon even if I don’t catch em everyday
They are ,,Fish eat machines,, killer job again boys,, 🤫🙏🦊,

That was a good day for the addicted guys some nice TROUT🤟
Just realized how much Todd and Mike Ritland look alike. Good fishing guys!
lol I was watching the video and had a Mike Ritland video recommendation under the video and was thinking they look just like each other then seen this comment. Mike Ritland podcasts are the best.
Such amazing fish can’t believe they’re that big!!! I bet that was one hell of an experience
le's see a kokanee vs. lake trout catch and cook.
Every addicted video is 🔥🔥🔥
Love your videos guys ..keep on fishing on
Good stuff, fellas.
Killing it boys ! Jordo you the man! Come to Canada boys well show ya a good time up here
awesome how that guide handles and releases
So hyped to watch this vid
wow.
I want to catch a 20 pounder.
Dudes! Macks RULE! My best, so far, is 17lbs from Lake Chelan. I have always been a troller, but, I'm going to certainly try this jigging technique. Great vids, by the way. Keep it up, brothers! 🎣🎣🎣
Great series guys I’m really enjoying it! I’m learning a lot about our aquatic friends watching you fellas.
Epic, amazing content boys 👍🏻
I just found this channel and don’t understand how you guys don’t have a million or more subscribers. The content is quality the cinematography is amazing especially the b roll and you guys are both entertaining and informative. You guys are also really good at communicating what’s going on and I like how you put subtitles if there’s any parts of the video where the sound gets a little muddy I’ve never seen any other channel do that I usually have to try to figure out what they’re saying if it’s windy or there’s background noise because UA-cam’s subtitles are useless.
You guys ever fished Crane Prairie Reservoir or Wickiup Reservoir? If not you should, Crane used to be home to big Rainbows using Hilgramites(spelling?) Under a bobber in the stumps and Wickiup has produced world class Kokanee and Brown trout for me beck in the day.
I’d like to get over and fish those!
Yaaaaa buddy. A waiting for this.. ..
Would love to see you guys try to fish Mann Lake for those rare lahontan cutthroat trout :)
hogzzzz good wrk boys
Heading down today with my brother bank fishing with kastmasters did alright last Sunday no giants but a few 7 pounders
Nice EDGE Rod
I’m from Oregon and live under two hours from Odell lake and I’ve seen some big fish caught out of there, but never caught one myself yet
Did you have a fish finder? Fishing deep?
I’ve never actually fished there but my grandpa dose from time to time and the biggest he’s caught is 19.3lbs, but he’s seen 30lb+ fish caught in person
Do you guys ever make it up to Priest Lake Idaho? Super fun lake trout fishing!
Come to lake superior and do steel head, lake trout and our salmon runs
Did not know that Mackinaw where in Oregon. I thought they where only in Lake Tahoe.
I have never seen anything like this, you guys rock! I don’t know what lake this is, or what Guide and Services This is, But after I leave this, I hope you put in links. Amazing fishing, amazing video, what more can I say?
I lovedddddd this 3 part series. Thank you so much for this. We just fished the first and third lake of this series last month. We did well on Kokanee, but not so well on the Mack. One 22” was it for the Mack. But as we’re under a heat advisory for 112 degrees this Labor Day weekend, I wish we were back up there after watching this series. What month was this filmed? The docks were empty!
May 9 th I think. Mothers day weekend. I remember that storm blowing in. I was on Crane Prarie that day.
not first :(
Cultus lake has lake trout like an HR or so from odell on century drive
DINGERS
So what was the point of dropping the fish to deep depths? Or did you? It was hard for me to hear.
Like bottomfish in the salt their bladders pretty much explode when they get pulled up so fast from so deep. And they won’t be able to swim back down
I fished Detroit lake in Oregon but for Cokenee
Been waoting fornthis all day lmao
Waiting
Are you at odell or crescent lake? Looks like crescent to me. More sandy beaches than odell
Don't name lake names. It will get the lakes over fished by the fish folk you dont like.
@@jimmywoodworker8799 sorry about that I'm new to this. I live in oregon. I fish those lakes once or twice a year. I wouldn't worry too much if they go there because they read my comment they probably don't have a clue anyway. 10 percent of people fishing catch 95 percent of the fish.
What lake is that? It looks beautiful!
Go try Odell, Crescent, wallowa, fourmile or cultus. They should all have some nice maks.
What is your herring setup for these monsters?
1st
Was that a lamprey mark on the side of that first fish?
too bad the lake trout are not good eating. I'd go for the kokanee all day. I wonder if that's what a tule is like.
at @2:01 whats that gear/rod holder! i want it...lol
I guessed 18 lbs
You guys need to put the handles back on The
RIGHT side of the reels. I'm just sayin.
Is it just me or do these big Lakers look like sharks with their big pectoral fins and large caudal fin
What was the bait and how was it rigged?
Kobe Robinson herring
Some of those Lake trout can get up to 125 pounds and that is a big Lake trout and times they can be very a loose of to catch at times
How much does it cost to fish out of state ?
Does anyone know if Jordan tokes?
What lake you at on second day.im like half hour from odell
Clyde Henderson Crescent
Me and my cousin want to start making videos any advice
Chrome Junkies stay consistent, do a weekly upload. Be creative. Don’t spend thousands on gear when first starting out.
Why don't you say which lake it would be nice if you would
