    I'm not a pianist so I never really grasped how crazy this solo was. Seeing this on guitar made me shit balls

    I came at the right time! I was suddenly interested in the chords from the solo and I see you only uploaded this 6 days ago!!
    Thank you for uploading this. I can now make more sense of what was happening!

    Thank you! It's great having all these voicingd to reference as a guitar player who's a huge fan of Corey's Lingus solo. Beato's video is private though, so can someone tell me what the Q stands for?

      @@Nileppez thanks man, it's been a long time since i did this video.
      Q chords stands for quartal chord, a four note chord stacking fourths

    G/Ab - Tonic diminished scale ?

    • @SotoTunes
      @SotoTunes  4 роки тому +1

      Yes! You're right, it's from the 8 note scale made by Whole - Half step, and there are 4 exact same voicings at a minor third distance.
      In this case with bass on E, it's simply creating a E7(#9)

    Ok can you please say what this +Q or +4Q things means, i would say i understand musictheory, but never heard or saw a Q, and it doesnt look like Quints and Quarts

    • @SotoTunes

      Hey there, the Q means quartal harmony, and i actually took the idea of writing them like that from Rick Beato because there is no way in traditional harmony to properly write them. A +4Q would mean a quartal chord but starting with Augmented Fourth, so the quartal formed over Lydian Mode.
