Thanks :D some hate it but I'm always happy when someone likes it, also, if you like it, then check out one of my new videos, because I re-recorded it and now it sounds way better! Anyways, hope you enjoyed the video :)

I'm just in the middle of building one of these myself. What's weird is I found the things that I thought were going to be easy were tough and the things I thought were a nightmare were simple.

@@ChrisViralVlogs When assembling the slider structure and the electronic components, I just have to upload the code to my Arduino controller?

Yes, you just need to get done the hardware part. The software is all done with just uploading GRBL.

leadscrews arent "the" soloution. Belts are way faster, you just have to fix the build.
One reason is, belts are designed to operate on a preloaded tension. So if the tension is set up wrong thats one source of error. Another thing is, if the axis is too thin or long it might bent slightly. To fix this you could support it from the other side with a ballbearing.
At the moment you have one contact point (bearing?) then the Beltgear and then it floats in the air. I mean imagine the beltgear between 2 bearings so it is supported better:

for the long rail you could by so called supported rails looks like this, but i didnt searched for the cheapest just an example:

OR you could buy a wooden plate to support it. cheap fast and cost effective:D i would try that first.
i guess you arleady seen this ? :)

Yeah I'll definitely try to fix it before moving on. It would be way more efficient to get this one working before starting something new. I think I found a solution for the tension, I'll get to that in time. I think you'll like this solution.
Ah nice, haven't seen that... I mainly looked for multi axis slider builds. Let's see :)
Thanks for the links as always.
