    “Most people say, ‘Drugs are your problem, stop them.’ But for a dope fiend like myself, drugs are a solution. You take away those drugs, and now we got problems.”
    That was Jordan Rogers' life. At 15 he tried heroin for the first time, by his early 20s he had become a raging heroin addict, shooting dope in cheap motel rooms and flirting with death. In fact, his addiction was so bad other heroin addicts didn’t even want to be with him. He ended up at rock bottom and in custody. What he saw in a jail cell one night started him on a journey that would lead him to some of the most beautiful places on earth and an incredible job with Nike.

    This testimony really hit me in my heart. Listening to what happened to him reminds me a lot of my sister. She's been on drugs for 9 years, been to court ordered rehabilitation centers, and jail. And her fiancé's been to jail also, but they still sell marijuana. Now they have a six month old son that gets neglected because they would rather snort cocaine.
    All I ask is that you'll pray for them to realize that they can't be true Christians and still do these things, and that they'll get better. Also keep my nephew in your prayers, that he wont grow up without parents, and that he will be loved like he should.

    This testimony is so powerful. As a believer in the Lord Jesus Christ for 40 years this year, I still need to hear that God is working in the lives of those who seem hopeless. Thank you. Thanking God too.

    Thank you so much for sharing your story! My son struggles with addiction and how you are describing it sounds so much like what he has told me. He has gone down some of the same road as you, trying anything and everything to the max, jail. He is 21 and I fear for his life. He is trying to be sober, but has had some relapses, he works hard, but it is just too much for one person to handle. He has so much emotional pain, suffering PTSD, that I'm afraid he won't make it. I just want his suffering to end. I pray for someone to come in his life as you had.

      hi.... you need to show him that you believe in God's ability to deliver him and show him that he is strong enough to kick his addiction. Your support and prayers shall prove invaluable. I shall say a prayer for you guys. just the love Jesus is what he needs... just as Jordan said.

    I find these testimonies to be so profound, loving of themeselves. Someone asked me once do you like or love yourself? Sometimes the most self loving thing you can do, that others will benefit in. Asking to help and accepting help. Just got to make sure you are not going to the bank for a haircut. We all make poor choices , redemption is for those that seek it.

    How could he afford all that dope? Very sad, his life, was sooo dark, lost, empty but Praise Be to God for rescuing him out of darkness and giving him new life. Thank you Jesus for answering a mother's prayer too.

    curiously... does 'I Am Second' ever film testimonies from homeless believers? hungry believers? meeting Christ is always a powerful testimony, biblically the woman at the well, the blind man, the bleeding woman, the dead child, the sick servant, and so on.... I think 'I Am Second' should go to the streets and truly see what 'I Am Second' looks like. xxx

    I myself have faced what you felt,and hey this might be authentic but , I see some bad influences if you know what I mean. talk about the consequences that faced your life and the remorse you have for it and obviously not about the ultimate pleasures you got from snorting cocaine or shooting heroin. Over all nice job done.

      Psalms 142:6-7 New International Version (NIV)Listen to my cry, for I am in desperate need; rescue me from those who pursue me, for they are too strong for me. Set me free from my prison, that I may praise your name. Then the righteous will gather about me because of your goodness to me.

      It means putting God first. I wish it was I am third. That means Jesus first, others second, and yourself last, but its a good UA-cam channel.

      +Beloved You really can't tell. He talks about that man who helped him through recovery but never talks about how Jesus helped him. He's clean yes but did he give God the glory or that man who helped him? Did he repent of his sins against God? Did he trust in Christ alone for salvation. Seems like a lot of talk about addiction, recovery and giving praise to a man who showed the love of Christ. Christ should get all the glory.

    • @arnoldtom1
      @arnoldtom1 7 років тому +2

      i think you are exaggerating a little bit. I just listened to his testimony and he talked plenty about God and giving Him the glory, especially towards the end of his testimony. people get hung up on little things because it doesn't meet their approval. not even every book in the Bible mentions God.
