This. Scene. Is. Amazing. The look on Jones' face is GOLD. In that moment, this confident chessmaster villain is confronted with something he couldn't possibly have expected, and it actually succeeds in shaking him.
AND YET HE STILL SMOKES THE HOSPITAL AND GETS OUT SCOTT FREE
Dr. David Robert Jones is probably my favorite antagonist ever.
And then the actor plays the protagonist in Chernobyl, was a pleasant surprise.

Also plays Anderson Dawes in The Expanse.
Don't forget The Terror.

A great confrontation! The great villain who thinks he's got a winning hand at all time ,suddenly realises his opponent may have some unexpected wild card ! I'm trembling!!!!

All these years later, I still think about this scene. It's one my favorites from this show.

i always like the jones and olivia interludes more shes the main character and i alwasy viewed jones sort of a villianous mentor, that sort of was just trying to show olivia who she really is and what she is truly capable of. also hes a villianous asshole
This is one of the few times Jones directly interacts with someone other then Olivia.

If Peter (perfect name, Richard would have been too obvious) wasn't in the show, and if, what's her name, the main barbie FBI, wasn't in the show, it could have been a glorious series. Instead, it's about 1 season of goodness total, and the rest is the same old women and children first (on paper but actually billionaires first) Westaganda/Copaganda.
