I have both my inner and outter forearms tattooed, but personally i will never tattoo my hands, neck or face, because like you said, i want to be able to go out on a date or an event at work and not have to worry about people judging me for having visible tattoos Having options is the best in my opinion. Cheers!
You shouldn't worry about if somebody's going to judge you if you have a tattoo on your face hands or neck they're still going to judge you if you have them in other places also you shouldn't care what people think I got tattoos on my neck hands not my face but I can care less what anybody thinks
I am getting a lion on my forearm this weekend. My job is really accepting of tattoos. I’ve always had fears of being judged or let go for being “unprofessional” so I am glad we are in a time where these things are becoming more accepted and encouraged.
I got my first visible (forearm) tattoo at age 55. Not saying that everyone should wait that long, but it took me a while to reach a point where I DGAF.
It all depends on your job profession. I've had a tattoo on my neck since I was 21 and now I'm 42. But I have always worked in a warehouse driving forklifts and trucks. I will agree that certain careers will stop you but not if you are a top known respectable person that is needed. I think nowadays the face is the hardest to get a job still to this day. Yes you are right this is so cool that that time is different.
I'm really blasted full sleeves including my hands & fingers (all black n grey realism). I work in an office and just got a full throat tattoo done, my boss goes "Wow is that new? I kno that had to hurt". Point is if your a hard worker & show up on time, they have no reason to turn you away.
My first tatto was hand to elbow at 21 y/o. I work as a software engineer from home, so I have nothing to worry and no risk, pretty much for the rest of my life.
My mom was a nurse and was heavily told visible tattoos were not allowed. Personally I would probably more likely to trust my nurse if they had tattoos but the older generations probably would.
In Eastern Europe they used to tattoo criminal convictions on the back of the hand (in Cyrillic script); so while decorative tattoos are usually pictorial any ink on the hands is generally viewed as suspect. Here in the UK: in hotel and catering; the service sector; also the police; visible tattoos can be a job stopper. While many tattooists will not do face tattoos, although it is legal to do so; the military will reject you.
That’s why I waited to get my sleeve till I turned 40 and my career is good with it 😊.
Yes i think thats a good idea´ to wait until you know whats going on :)
Same. Old enough to know what you're getting into, have enough experience and ability to sell yourself regardless. And know when to wear a long sleeve

This is such good advice. I am not a tattoo person but saw them on several WWII vets and they were sad looking.
I got my first tattoo when I was 50 and I don't regret it at all. Btw, I love that tiger tattoo. It's cool!
Thanks Luna!

Your tattoos are safe!

I see hand and neck tattoos now in corporate spaces so I don’t think they really job stoppers now, face tattoos still might be tho.
