Therese, the Paul Rubens company have found a fabulous friend in you! Three gorgeous cards - that first one is my personal favorite - your tips and techniques are so wonderful! =]
So glad you enjoyed these Michele, now I get to skip off to work!
These are three of the loveliest cards I have seen this year. I have the Paul Reubens metallic watercolours in the pink tin, which are gorgeous too. ❤
Ooh, now I think I need the metallic watercolours lol.
Absolutely stunning, I love all three. I can't imagine anyone throwing away one of your cards. You are so talented Therese and your videos are always inspiring. Thank you for sharing.
Thank you Jess x
Such talent and such great instructions. My time has been well spent listening to your instructions. You are amazing. A great instructor!
You are the sweetest, thank you Beth!
You make things look so effortless. Gorgeous cards. Beautiful water coloring. Paul Rubens company is blessed to have you show off their product. Now I want some.😘
Thank you so much!
3 gorgeous cards Therese, all equally beautiful, impossible to pick a favourite! Thank you for sharing. ❤😘
Thank you so very much Orla x
All 3 are just beautiful. I especially like the sketchy one.
Thank you so very much!
That first card is absolutely beautiful....
Thank you Valda x
Yes enjoyed very much! My favorite is the 1st card, because that is also my favorite way to watercolor ❤️
Yay, thank you Anita!
So many beautiful colors! And your gorgeous cards are just perfect!
Thank you so much!
Love the first two. They are so different but beautiful.
Thank you Daphne! 😊
Just beautiful! I especially loved the second card. I am going to give these a try. Oh, and by the way, some people's cards are on display!😉 Thanks for the inspiration Therese!!
Thank you my wonderful friend x
Can’t pick just one technique. As a watercolour beginner, to me all 3 techniques seem easy to master and have a reasonable likelihood of good results. Your results are stunning today! Beautiful cards as usual ❤
Thank you so very much!
Such beautiful cards! I love all three❤ I think my favorite is the second card! Thanks so much for sharing.
Thank you Jeanne!
Such gorgeous cards. You make it look easy, but that's because you're so talented. I would say one of my biggest problem after I white emboss (I learned from you), is seeing WHERE to start painting since everything is white on white. You're a patient and wonderful teacher. No Drama...LOL
thank you so much Rachel!
I really enjoy wateringcolouring emboossed cards. The end result always fab.
I agree Lynne!
I love all three but I think I that first one is just beautiful. You nailed it with the shadowing!! I need to work on that.
Thank you so much Dawn!!
Such beautiful cards! I especially like the first one but they are all gorgeous.
Glad you like them, thank you Teresa!
Beautiful cards, but number 2 is a stunner!
Thanks so much Kelly!
All of the cards are all amazing! I'm so inspired to try these techniques; I had almost given up on watercoloring!
I hope you give it a try, sometimes I walk away if I don't think I like the way it's going and when I come back with fresh eyes it doesn't look as bad as I thought and I can keep going lol. Hope you have fun creating Collette!
wow! I have tried your technique #1, but yours is prettier. I do have to try your tech #2 and #3. They look very simple to do but SO beautiful !! Thanks for sharing.
Hope you have fun creating Ceclia!
All are stunning! Really love the first one! ❤
Thanks so much Melissa😊
Beautiful!
I like the muted colours of these watercolours
Me too, thank you Wendy!
Love that first one.
thank you Sibylle!
Thank you - I avoid my brushes and paint. I’ve written these methods down in my journal (my go to on days when I don’t feel inspired). Love using supplies that are getting dusty.
What a great idea to have a journal for ideas, I find that if I start looking on the internet for inspiration I can sometimes pop my head up hours later, with no cards made lol.
Great information! I loved all the cards and my favorite is the second card. Thanks!
So glad you enjoyed, thank you Carol!
Liked the three cards but esp #1 and #3…..going to give the third card a try when I get my craft room organized a bit more! Thanks for sharing your talent and giving us a nudge to try something different!
Yay Mary-Jane! You are so welcome!
Loved the leaf one the best❤❤❤
Yay! Thank you Mechele!
I’ve thrown out more than I’ve kept of my watercolour cards but I’m going to have another try. Thanks for the encouragement.
I hear you Kylie, but I have found there is always a point when colouring with watercolours that the design can look TERRIBLE, but let it dry and come back to it, keep going with either more paints or coloured pencils and I find that it turns out just fine lol. Hope you have fun colouring!
Three beautiful cards. Can’t pick a favourite though!
thank you Lisa x
So beautiful. Well done
Thank you! 😊
FYI - I use a label machine to label each pan. I use the small print. Works great.
Great tip, thanks Cathy!
Love this! I've done the first but want to try 2 and 3 soon. Another technique to try is using layer stamps, inks and spritzing them.
Yes, I love that technique too, but mostly used to use it red rubber style stamps, they always had better results. I must try it, thanks Barbara!
I love how u r always teaching us different techniques..especially with watercolor as I do struggle with them! Is there a link to your swatch print out?
The swatch I used today came with this set, but I do have a swatch download that is 'multipurpose' - mostly for inks/markers. You could 'set' the ink from a printer with a hold spray (or not paint close to the edges) and use it for watercolours. You can find it here lostinpaper.com/freebies-my-classes/ Or in the past I have just drawn lines with a ruler and a Copic multiliner or sharpie. Hope this helps, Therese
Lovely card! What types of brushes and size did you use?
I used round Silver Black Velvet brushes size 4 and 8, but you can certainly use whatever you have on hand.
Beautiful cards. What brand of watercolor paper do you use?
Hi Shawn, for these cards I used Altenew A2 watercolor paper, they have a few varieties. This is an affiliate link to the one I used shrsl.com/3fiv9
