@@hidayatmariadi8072 focusing on lip movement/shaping (not tongue! Mismatched lip movement is what causes accents!) and on body language rather than tongue movements & lexical+grammar skill strength represents THE keys to learning to speak foreign languages fast
I'm very impressed with Iñaki. Not only has his Japanese improved to the point where he's getting "Nihongo Jouzu"-ed across the board, but he's keeping his composure while talking to a man with a fish for a head.

To be fair, "nihongo jouzu" is the standard greeting native speakers give to people learning Japanese. Iñaki was hit with the "hontou ni sugoi", which means Oda-sensei was really impressed. The kid's got serious dedication. I don't think he knew much Japanese when he was first hired for this role, and now he's speaking pretty much like a native speaker down to the pauses and mannerisms. I'm fairly sure he had a different teacher to help him study, but it's fun to think that Oda was also his sensei in another way.

That means everyone who is working for One Piece live action is also a fan of One Piece. One Piece is the only thing which is best in Manga, Animation and now live action.

@FawntheCreator, the reason of long breaks recently was for him to QC the Live Action. He really is an on-hand person who wants the best for his creation.
He was making sure that the LA meet up his standards and expectations, and not fall to the same fate as other LA that ended up in abysmal position.

Inaki's really like a real life Luffy, and I mean that in spirit. He takes on challenges with a gutso and is free spirited and fun! It's admirable how dedicated he is to having the most meaningful experiencs through OPLA and damn, we saw him make Oda laugh in real time now! Love this guy sm!

The live action series was largely dubbed into German with the cast who also speak in the German dub of the anime series.
They do a great job.
And it's the same in the Ranma 1/2 remake.
That wasn't Netflix's decision, but the German dubbing studio did it themselves.
What's it like in Japan with the dubbing?

Oda actually has an awesome voice, I've never heard him speak. And they could not have picked a better person to play Luffy, look how much this kid loves Oda and what he's doing. It's beautiful.
You can hear him when he was younger if you look up the one piece soccer special from... I think 2001? He played the character "Odacchi", with the soccer ball pattern hair.

Oda's answer about luffy brought me to tears cause it hits so true. Luffy reminds me of who i wanted to be as a kid and sometimes still am. A goofball with a heart of gold just looking for an adventure worth talking about. The distrust of the government came free with adulthood ., lol.

I must say, for me the appeal of Luffy is his open-mindedness - he never judges someone by their looks, his unshakable ambition, how reliable he is - he always keeps his promises and most of all his sense of justice - how he never looks away when someone is mistreated.
Funny how Garp always wanted him to join the Marine, yet Luffy goes to free kingdoms from villians that the Marine tolerated or just didn't care about as a pirate.

Im actually excited to see more, I wish they got a bigger budget to get stuff the way they wanted like how they were forced to cut hatchi because they couldnt afford it, I was surprised to see Neflix being so respectful to the series given their track record but I'm hopeful, they've done a great job so far. This interview was adorable, it felt like watching Luffy and Oda having a conversation in real life

That got me hooked, so I decided to dive into the One Piece anime, and now I’m super hyped for live-action Season 2. (Also, I NEED to see Chopper!!!)
