- We're doing some covert ops in this mission to nuke the Ion Cannon. Make sure that the ghost has 100+ energy before departing so he can cloak for long enough. It might look easy in this video, but it's very likely to get caught when you don't know what you're doing, so try to follow the movements carefully when having trouble.

That was awesome man. I gave up after like 20 tries. Then I used power overwhelming. Didn't think to do this.

That first act shocked me for some reason, i think iv always played original starcraft with the intent to not lose any lives if possible by using highest tech troops plus tricks my monkey brain could come up with and lots of save states but i used your trick to cheese this mission as i dislike the nukes they shoot at me and the lockdown ruins my battleship run so it was actually fun and i played it to the letter and at slow game speeds and my time was 9.55 a full minute slower. I didnt send my dropship until the first nuke was ready and then didnt get it in the right position to drop the ghost moved it to realise he hadnt dropped and moved it back and frustrating the ghost attacks under cloak and the enemy has reveal.

are you talking about when he killed for of his own ppl?!?! i was wondering why or if that was necessary but it seems OP only likes comments and doesnt really respond to comments so i wont ask
@@PropagandaMinister it is to reduce supply cost and also lets you build scv sooner.
Many of those troops aren't needed if that cheese speed run trick is used

Nice vid I just found this channel and love it I did this mission in about an hour I did like 6 BC's for home defense along with a few sience vessels for detection cleared red with the BC's and then did mass marine drop on cannon

Tried this on remastered. I think whomever did the remaster watched these videos, because they made it difficult as hell now.
Too many ghosts, too much of the NPC using the "reveal" thing off the comsat station. So any thing I send in there gets found out WAY too quick, all the while my vespene gas runs out way faster than what I remember.
Secret is to not let the ghost shoot at all. Managed this in 11 mins in game time. The only issue was 4 resets cause the ai insta sends a science vessel on the ion cannon at the 4th nuke. They def added that in remastered.

I never understood why you had to destroy a cannon to escape, when you never were on the surface to begin with.

Every time I tried it a science vessel comes out of nowhere detects my ghost and dead lmao
After targeting the nuke, how do you know when to pull back the ghost?
Each time I've tried my ghost ends up getting fried.
Spam RMB to retreat.
Why kills own marine?
