I honestly love Protoss from SC1 and I knew there was a way to beat maps like this with quick walling. I figured Dark Templar were key if you were sacrificing Cannons.
I especially like that you showed the games where you got zergling rushed. Sometimes when you get lucky and nobody rushes you you can tech up fast and maybe get a chance at winning. 8/10 times i just get creamed with either a 2 color zergling rush or a mass zealot attack and its gg.
I remember my friend who was gosu could beat 1v7 computer on any normal limited mineral map. He told me. As protoss he would use fastesst zealot rush and keep rushing zealots. As zerg he would rush 24 lings and then another army then to 12 mutas and then again then to 12 ultra rush. As terran he would build rine rush then another rine rush and i forgot what he did next. But that was in 2002 which was amazing. He told me that if rines attacked him mutas would win against rines. Zealots would slaughter amything in its path. Like 1 zealot beats a5 zerglings. He also told the computer builds slower than the human. Which is true. Comp doesnt queue up scvs

Weird AI behavior... The way they play in legacy broodwar is not the same. 1- they always send something to detect when there's a cloaked unit attacking. 2- they are way better at countering carriers (mass scourges, mass Goliath, etc). 3- they didn't developped all their tech tree...?? ( where are the Battle cruisers, science vessels with emp, guardians, ultralisk, templar psionic storms, dark archons conversion )... Something was not right about this. It's a nice tactic, but not so sure it will be that easy in legacy... I might just try it for myself...
Perhaps attacking the computer at the right moment breaks the AI by putting it on the defensive? Therefore its tech approach is slowed down, and is finished off before it has a chance to recover. Just a thought anyway.
I gotta wonder, in Remastered, is AI still stupid if you wall things off with DT? As long as they don't get close enough for the DT to attack, they just sorta run around, and say "can't go through here" and just get stuck. If anything gets damaged by DT or lurkers, THEN the AI goes 'something invisible is here', and send or do something to see the invisible thing. Otherwise they just all mill about.

You were not gathering enough minerals to warrant that many gateways. Waste of minerals there. You could have just made like 15 carriers with 4 observers following and won a lot easier. Nice job holding in the beginning though, a lot of people can't do that.
You have too much gas. It would be better if you spent the rest of the gas for Archons after you build carriers and upgrade. Please manage your resource more properly.
Wow. This is hard to do with canons. I would have bet this was impossible but you did it. Awesome stuff.
tbh lack of early detection in enemy's part really did most of the work. DT's are extremely good against dumb opponents ^^

I believe the old broodwar and original will send detectors, overlords, or scanners + vessels when you use cloak/burrowed units.

AI used to break in legacy BW too. The computer would mine up to a certain point then not progress with its tech at all or attack sometimes

Yeah, really slow push. Normally, you may have been through the second push once the Dark Templars are out !
luckily the zerg didn't use 4 pool at first, otherwise, can't win just like that.

But how are you gonna defend your base? My guess is that without a narrow entrance the 7 CPUs will eventually surround and overwhelm you.
