I've put my due diligence into the gane and now it's my turn to watch the noobs squabble; muh-ha-ha-hahaaaa!!! Fight harder naives!!! Should I start throwing weapons in?
A little bit more advanced tip I would give to a new player who wants to unlock the gunslinger is to beat the Resourceful Rat in the run and do well in the 3d phase, the Punch out fight (when playing as the gunslinger, but feel free to do this as Paradox). Yes, I know it sounds absolutely ridiculous, since everyone who tried to beat the rat for the first couple of times knows that he is very brutal when you're not familiar with his attacks, and the 3d phase is no joke, and even getting to RR is a long road, but trust me, it's worth it to learn to be able to kick rat's ass every run successfully. The items and weapons you receive can make everything easier (it's a bit RNG reliant though, either you get incredibly good stuff or not that good stuff), but the main focus is the rat chests: the things contained in them are ludicrously overpowered, especially the elementalier, which will *cheese* (don't worry, my execution is scheduled for tomorrow already) all the regular rooms effortlessly. Full RR set is almost a guaranteed win for the run. Since there are already many videos with tips on how to beat RR, I won't talk about them, except for one thing which I don't think I've ever seen being mentioned anywhere: after getting through the maze, if you have a leftover heart, push it into the rat's boss room by walking into it (may take a few seconds to get used to it). Once you start the fight, it may look like the heart disappeared (if you pushed 2 hearts in, then one will vanish for real), but it actually stays there, just invisible now. If you find yourself injured after the 1st phase, you can go back to the boss door and pick it up, and believe me, 2 additional hits can be a difference between life and death (a word of advice, don't push the heart too deep into the room, because it can be launched with a blank effect, and if you used any, or got hit with an armor during the battle, it can get problematic to look for an invisible object in a big ass room. Just leave it near the door). Another tip I'll give is don't feel obligated to go into oubliette every single run. It can be a very unforgiving place for an early game, and frankly, the more I went into it, the more I disliked it, which isn't cool since it's a pretty neat floor actually, just a bit annoying. You have no idea how many runs you can save by listening to this, lmao.
You can also do what I did to unlock the gunslinger. Miraculously survive as the paradox. Go into the gunslinger run. Get the blackhole gun in floor 2 and let the synergies do all the busy work. That run was something man.
15:28 quick tip: you can see what weapons you have (not the item tho) just by opening the ammonicon in the breach so you can save some time by not constantly loading and leaving first floor

The only thing that will be like a achievement for completing 100% of the game is to beat rat in punchout. Great video by the way and keep up the good work bro!
7:01 In the Past boss fights you keep all your blanks, so you can hoard blanks trough the run to use them in a past boss if you're having problema! The only exception is the Pilot past, where you will have your normal two blanks. Hope this is useful to someone new to the game!

The one gun i recommend over anything as the gunslinger is the blackhole gun. It makes you safe 99% of the time outside certain attacks, it also has 3 tendrils that attack any and all enemies as long as the blackhole exists. It can kill bosses in as little as 5 shots and clear rooms instantly if needed. Another item i recommend if you ever find it is the clone, which is essentially a free win because youll keep any and all items if you die and get sent back to the first chamber.

It took me 6 months to finish this incredible game and I've never had that experience in any game I've played for my 15 years of console gaming. It usually takes me a week or so to get every bit of content in a game, but here the long process is part of it. Without that process I never wouldve been so good at bullet dodging, defeating bosses, taking huge ass risks or even battling the damn lich and rat with just one heart. @@JeuelyFish Man I remember when I completed the game fully… shortly after my daughter was born and we were at home. I yelled so loud my wife damn near took my PS4 throw it out the window. I was so happy and felt very satisfied. Took about 7 months of trial and error. Also I figured out it is possible to get all the pieces in your first run so long as you play as the Pilot, remove your lock-pick, don’t spend money in the first 2 floors and hit the secret Sewer room in the 1st. I was able to pull it off when I bought the game again but on the Switch to play it on the go.
@@JeuelyFish your videos and random facts for enter the gungeon have helped me alot to beat it, gotten some pasts beaten, still have many to beat, ive already beat chamber 6 but theres still some pasts to kill and weapons to buy
My winning run took a HUGE amount of luck and time, but I eventually beat the game just yesterday. My bosses were: Bullet King, Beholster, Cannonbalrog, High Priestess, and of course, the Dragun. Basically my entire run came down to finding the Vulcan minigun on Floor 1, and the C0m4nd0 multi rocket launcher on Floor 2, because apparently you can dual wield both of them at the same time, absolutely SHREDDING through boss healthbars
Got this game 2 months ago and just came back to playing it you put a lot of effort into this vid and you have my respect I can’t even past chamber 3 man😭
ngl, that's not too far off as far as progression goes from where I was 2 months into the game. keep playing if your having fun! don't get hung up too on the bigger picture and just try to do slightly better than last time!
What's been helping me is just playing the game with the intention of unlocking the unlockable in the shop for guns and synergies. I've noticed the more I've played for that reason it allows me to focus on learning boss patterns and learning to scrap runs if they go south.
You can also fly across if you have wax wings, I was able to cheese my way through the 'bullet that can kill the past' quest by lucking out and equipping wax wings that allowed me to fly across safely
ok, i have good and bad thinsg whit this vedeo, first of the good: great explanatsion of what to do and how evrything works, ive 100%ed the game myself but i can see a new player finding this verry usefull to try and see how far they want to go, the bad: some lore parts are a bit wrong but for the rest its completly acurate, also the arcade gunpouder part, theres an extra minecart that rides you directly to the begining so no need to teleport outa there, the ugly: i just wanted to make a joke about a relly old movie but in all serioaness this is a great video
Thanks, glad you enjoyed the video!! and YA, you're totally right! There totally is an extra minecart that can take you to the start; forgot to mention that. Good call out 👍
I appreciate your videos. Finally beat the dragun for the first time after nearly 50 hours 😭 This was my first bullet hell and although I am trash, it’s still a super fun game!
Damn I forgot I did al of this, it’s quite a lot when you sum it up like this. After your done with this though you still have to collect some items if you want to clear the whole game.
What actually happend is the paradox shot the lich with the bullet that could kill the past which sent the lich into the past where he was the gunslinger, so the bullet cannot kill the future, but only the past.
My gunslinger run was so good, did it in rainbow mode. Killed ouch as paradox with a Yari launcher, pretty normal run, then as the gunslinger I found some spice and a clone, got to 6th chamber died in bullet hell. Then I found another clone, had tons of spice active, many master rounds in my inventory and a dream. I also had the raiden coil and because of all my spice it literally cleared rooms in average of 4-10 seconds. Lunch fight was easy after that lol
I only recently got the gunslinger. Just getting him took me more than double the time it did to go from just starting the game to beating bullet hell. I hold zero regrets
Also for the Gunslinger run, I think trying rainbow run with going through secret floors 1&2, that gives you at least 8 really good items to fight the lich with, but if you happen to pick up something like clone, as high as 16, with a possibility at 10 extra hearts. The best part about this though is the fact you can get guns with synergies like the AKey which gives you unlimited ammo and can allow you to pick up passives till you get to the lich. Passives like explosive bullets and hungry bullets help a lot because you just bypass dodging and weaving with a high fire rate weapon like the AKey. I did this and beat the lich with 5 whole hearts to spare.
I got into Etg about a week ago and just beat dragun for the first time and am 3/4 items on the bullet.. super fun game, time goes by fast. The journey ahead seems daunting, lich is scary, the final double run seems crazy, even tho gunslinger seems op. Great video, thank you.
after watching the video im glad i did, it's cool how you delved into the lore, and watching this video reminded me of how long it took to master this game. I hope this video inspires or helps other junior gungeoneers to conquer this brutal but amazingly fun game.
Great video! Just one small thing that I noticed. The pilot's starting gun actually doesn't drop shellings so you can't use it to reveal the path to the Planar Lead in the Hollow. Atleast it should be that way unless they've changed it at some point.
Funny, Isaac and Atomicrops had me hooked instantly, but EtG meh... doesn't help that I'm terrible at it (while beating the other two);o) But your editing is impeccable, the dry humour get's me, well structured, great video! Blazing Beaks? Cult of the Lamb? RAD? Rogue Book?
Ever since it's been released cult of the lamb has been rent free in my head, haha Appreciate the kind words! I still need to check out BindingOfIssac. It looks like the type of game I would like but the art style kinda... freaks me out 🙈
@@JeuelyFish Glad I can contibute a bit myself, too;o) TBoI is amazing, shooter combined with Zelda-like exploration. And I love how Ed dealt with his upbringing and religion, twisted^^ Best part, while a twinstick shooter Isaac mainly shoots in kardinal dir., so pessing one button and moving like Metal Gear Solid. I'd start with Rebirth before tackeling Repentance. Atomicrops combines exploration with farming, hectic fun. And more bullet-helly like EtG. Both hundreds of hours, lotta game for one's buck. RAD, Curse of the dead Gods and Blazing Beaks are similar, but less engaging imo. Great pellet cleanser/filler;o) Cult of the Lamb is dark and cute, but as with Hades, I wonder about longivity, variety and immersion. Rogue Book and Monster Train aren't as streamlined as StS but do more with the deckbuilding aspect. (But Isaac and Spire have the best character/item/synergie ratio, similar to Gungeon). And Dicey Dungeon (bag builder), For the King (RPG), Heart&Slash (FP), Ring of Pain (card ring) or Ziggurat (spellslinger) change the formula. If you wanna check gameplay out I recommend YTers like the egg, wonderbits and reto;o) Sorry for the rant, love roguelikes/-lites. Have fun!
I think the best option when going to bullet hell is getting Gunther (because he has infinite ammo) and rainbow mode + maybe clone so you can stock up on health items and bullet upgrades. But I only got to the second phase of the boss as of now ;-;
An item or gun that allows flight can also get you to the 2nd and 3rd components for the bullet that can kill the past. Of course, that's also RNG dependent.
My progress 20 hours: Killed the Dragun 30 hours: Killed the four main pasts 40 hours: Killed Lich 80 hours: Unlocked Gunslinger, all the alternate starting guns and beat the Rat I think the only thing left is the achievements, fortunately none of them seem absurd or too much time consuming. Then I’ll finally start Exit. Awesome video btw, it’s very well put together and helped me a ton.
I know they gave the final update to gungeon but they should atleast implement a feature that allows you to buy a single item or gun before any run because after the you completed all the unlocks and challenges you are stuck with a crap ton of credits that you can barely use
Yoo you should put the rat room in and do a video on the whole side quest I’ve completed the whole game. I really like that you made a video when I first started playing this game. It was back is 2015 when I found it and nobody had made videos for this game!! So I learned everything about the game on my own. You should definitely make a side quest video. Incase I missed something but I don’t think I have.
dawg, I can't even make it to chamber 5 WITH the 2nd floor elevator fixed, and I'm not good enough to get the tinkerer 3 armor to fix the next elevator.
The formula to get through a run is simple: Loads of hearts, a boss buster weapon (Sling for example), general or room-clearing guns that save the boss buster, and everything else should come naturally.
294 deaths and I got the cheesiest gear I could gave asked for... black hole gun with helix and the backup gun, evolver fully evolved, plus both vials for slowing enemies and bullets. Omg I've been waiting for this day to top it off I got master round and immediately took it to the tinker.
damn...... what a vid man.I finished etg 100% like 2 years ago but your video gives me so much memory about all my advancements in the game (which turned out to be very long and hard)it’s too sad that you didn’t talk about the robot and the bullet because their story is interesting but honestly why ask for more than this video which is already incredible. Keep it up mate +1 there
I absolutely suck at this game but like it a lot, any tips for bosses? (having a hard time dodging bullethellish movesets q.q) Really well executed video, entertaining and informative, gonna watch more
i have already completed this game i have: killed all pasts killed the rat defeated rnd killed the old king completed a boss rush killed the oobuliete the only things i havent done is a challenge run and fight door lord as it has only spawned ONCE in my 200 hours. regardles i still enjoyed this video
To preface this, I absolutely love this video's thumbnail, great job! (Pin this if you'd like by the way!) As someone who's played Gungeon since release day over 6 years ago, with 420 hours combined across PS4 and PC, I adore it. From the mechanics to the music (did I mention the theme song kicks ass?), the gunplay to the Gungeoneers, everything just goes so well together and it really shows. While tough for new players at first, once you get used to dodge rolling and weapons (and their rarities), you'll be blasting Bullet Kin like a pro (pun intended). Beating pasts is no easy feat (The Pilot's past was the hardest for me), and unlocking the secret characters (Bullet, Robot, Gunslinger and Paradox) takes time, but once you do it, the feeling of accomplishment washes over you and it's so good. It took me 3 years to get the Platinum trophy but damn it was worth it. I even have a t-shirt of the Advanced Gungeons and Dragon art, it's incredible. The community is amazing too, from the fanart to the animations. Thank you Dodge Roll Games for making one (bullet) hell of an experience for myself and others to dodge roll into. If you haven't bought this game, from the bottom of my heart, GET IT. Couch co-op with a buddy is great too. P.S: If anyone would like tips, advice, strategies, or any Gungeon related help, don't hesitate to hit me up on Discord (PPsh-41#1941), I'm always active. Just be sure to let me know if you're from my channel or this comment! -Braeden (GungeonPro)
It's easy once you get the rainbow run and the Gunther. Restart until you get the Gunther in the first chest, always use it, improve your bullets every floor and beat the game every time with any character.

@@JeuelyFish your videos and random facts for enter the gungeon have helped me alot to beat it, gotten some pasts beaten, still have many to beat, ive already beat chamber 6 but theres still some pasts to kill and weapons to buy
@@UN4G1V3N-X yeah its pretty awesome, good job on completing the game fully
@@JeuelyFish sorry for your gunslinger paradox run luckily I got the AWP on my first floor so I steam rolled the entire run
It's nice to see that, even 5 years later, the community is still active
9:12 you can actually roll over this trail of bullets without walking around, your roll distance is enough to do this
Really I had no idea i just had to give the blacksmith the items for the gun to kill the past once. That helps so much thank you!!!💖💖💖
My winning run took a HUGE amount of luck and time, but I eventually beat the game just yesterday.
Amazing video!! Well done this was great to watch!
The only thing I haven't done is getting all the keys in one go by doing a perfect rat boss punch out
wow this video was amazing and helpful. great job, keep up the good work!!!!!
I don't know if many will know the grind you put into this but thank you
This might be the first underrated youtuber i have ever seen that deserves more subs
Actually keep on the work, amazing video
i jus recently got into gungeon and have been tryna figure out wtf to do after beatin it the first time, This videos the shit 💯💯
ok, i have good and bad thinsg whit this vedeo, first of the good: great explanatsion of what to do and how evrything works, ive 100%ed the game myself but i can see a new player finding this verry usefull to try and see how far they want to go, the bad: some lore parts are a bit wrong but for the rest its completly acurate, also the arcade gunpouder part, theres an extra minecart that rides you directly to the begining so no need to teleport outa there, the ugly: i just wanted to make a joke about a relly old movie
but in all serioaness this is a great video
Thanks, glad you enjoyed the video!!
and YA, you're totally right!
There totally is an extra minecart that can take you to the start; forgot to mention that. Good call out 👍
Such a well made video this should have way more views!
I appreciate your videos. Finally beat the dragun for the first time after nearly 50 hours 😭 This was my first bullet hell and although I am trash, it’s still a super fun game!
This is going to take me 20 years to fully complete
Damn I forgot I did al of this, it’s quite a lot when you sum it up like this. After your done with this though you still have to collect some items if you want to clear the whole game.
This is such a goddamn good video for a guy with 296 subscribers. Very nice, thank you very much for this.
What actually happend is the paradox shot the lich with the bullet that could kill the past which sent the lich into the past where he was the gunslinger, so the bullet cannot kill the future, but only the past.
this is my first time seeing your channel, and the bits you do with the pronunciation of some words is fun.
You need more subscribers, this is a good quality video. Well done
☺️👉👈 appreciate that! Thanks for checking out the video!
Hey man that's extremely good editing. Funny as hell (bullet hell)
Bro… I didn’t know there was an invisible path to get the planar lead, I thought I had to get the Jetpack or wax wings to get over there. 😭
unlocking the gunslinger is a pain in the ass
I only recently got the gunslinger. Just getting him took me more than double the time it did to go from just starting the game to beating bullet hell. I hold zero regrets
Your video helped me win finally now i wanna unlock the bullet and robot and everyone anyone you recommend i should unlock first!
Great video, thank you.
ive beeten this game countless times but i still clicked on this video immediately after seeing it on my home page
after watching the video im glad i did, it's cool how you delved into the lore, and watching this video reminded me of how long it took to master this game.
RAD? Rogue Book?
Ever since it's been released cult of the lamb has been rent free in my head, haha
Appreciate the kind words! I still need to check out BindingOfIssac. It looks like the type of game I would like but the art style kinda... freaks me out 🙈
@@JeuelyFish Glad I can contibute a bit myself, too;o)
TBoI is amazing, shooter combined with Zelda-like exploration.
Great pellet cleanser/filler;o)
Cult of the Lamb is dark and cute, but as with Hades, I wonder about longivity, variety and immersion.
If you wanna check gameplay out I recommend YTers like the egg, wonderbits and reto;o)
Sorry for the rant, love roguelikes/-lites. Have fun!
I feel like I've been skill checked into only ever enjoying 20% of this game.
Absolute legend mate just unlocked the gunslinger (2nd try aswell 🎉) thanks for the tutorial plus tips
Love gungeon. Lost count of how long ive played over xbox, switch and pc
This was really helfull, I enjoy this game much more now that I knda know what to do. This video deserves more apreciation.👍
I think the best option when going to bullet hell is getting Gunther (because he has infinite ammo) and rainbow mode + maybe clone so you can stock up on health items and bullet upgrades. But I only got to the second phase of the boss as of now ;-;
Hey man, love this video! I just killed my first past and I'm surely going for them all and the Lich. Keep up the good work 10/10!!
An item or gun that allows flight can also get you to the 2nd and 3rd components for the bullet that can kill the past. Of course, that's also RNG dependent.
My progress
20 hours: Killed the Dragun
30 hours: Killed the four main pasts
40 hours: Killed Lich
80 hours: Unlocked Gunslinger, all the alternate starting guns and beat the Rat
I think the only thing left is the achievements, fortunately none of them seem absurd or too much time consuming. Then I’ll finally start Exit. Awesome video btw, it’s very well put together and helped me a ton.
this was a great video, please keep making content
Me watching the entire video not knowing the game
This video is absolute gold
15:6 didn't knew that gods die too
This is WAY more complicated than I thought it would be
I know they gave the final update to gungeon but they should atleast implement a feature that allows you to buy a single item or gun before any run because after the you completed all the unlocks and challenges you are stuck with a crap ton of credits that you can barely use
2018 I mean not 2015
OMG I JUST BEAT THE GAME!!!!! Blank Bullet, Relodstone and a fast shooting gun like Gungine combo is op for the final Lich.
The fact you went to check oubliette's spelling is golden ;)
Been experiencing this game for about 7 years, im ready to find out.
dawg, I can't even make it to chamber 5 WITH the 2nd floor elevator fixed, and I'm not good enough to get the tinkerer 3 armor to fix the next elevator.
"The first option, which should be available to every gungeoneer to reveal the invisible path..."
Pilot: "Am I a joke to you?"
LOL, you caught me. As a pilot main myself, probably shouldn't have let that detail slip. 😭
The formula to get through a run is simple: Loads of hearts, a boss buster weapon (Sling for example), general or room-clearing guns that save the boss buster, and everything else should come naturally.
I've been playing on and off for like 3 or 4 years now and after 88 hours of gameplay I finally got the gunslinger. I wanted to cry bro
294 deaths and I got the cheesiest gear I could gave asked for... black hole gun with helix and the backup gun, evolver fully evolved, plus both vials for slowing enemies and bullets. Omg I've been waiting for this day to top it off I got master round and immediately took it to the tinker.
Great video
Heyo, as a newbie of Gungeon, I really appreciate your vids, thank you for being existed :3
The true real final boss of Enter The Gungeon is the merchant, my dude's the B O S S 💪
99th run
Holy shit its MUCH deeper then i thought... WISH ME LUCKKKKK!!!!!
When i finally beat the gun lich on my first time ever actually making it to him and going in with only half health, I was done. :P
Holy sh!t, getting the Gunslinger sounds RIDICULOUSLY hard! 😮
I love this game it has so much replayability I still haven't finished it
damn...... what a vid man.I finished etg 100% like 2 years ago but your video gives me so much memory about all my advancements in the game (which turned out to be very long and hard)it’s too sad that you didn’t talk about the robot and the bullet because their story is interesting but honestly why ask for more than this video which is already incredible. Keep it up mate +1 there
please make a deeper dive! love the vod because no one makes guneon content (that im aware of).
Just learned that boss loot pedestals can be mimics. That's how you put the fear of god in someone
very helpful thank you
1:30 so if you got this far, congrats!
*_the game has just begun._*
I absolutely suck at this game but like it a lot, any tips for bosses? (having a hard time dodging bullethellish movesets q.q)
Really well executed video, entertaining and informative, gonna watch more
Given that I can't even get past level 3 I'm glad I at least got to see all this crazy stuff somehow
i have already completed this game
i have: killed all pasts
killed the rat
defeated rnd
killed the old king
completed a boss rush
killed the oobuliete
the only things i havent done is a challenge run and fight door lord as it has only spawned ONCE in my 200 hours.
regardles i still enjoyed this video
you can roll into the wall for s while staying in one place for the impossible bullets in question 16:59
🤦🏽♂️I walked right pass that purple stuff never knowing I could interact with it😂😂
I got recommended this vid more ppl will see ur channel and you will grow
To preface this, I absolutely love this video's thumbnail, great job! (Pin this if you'd like by the way!)
As someone who's played Gungeon since release day over 6 years ago, with 420 hours combined across PS4 and PC, I adore it.

Hey Fish, if you'd like any help or anything making your Gungeon videos, I'd be happy to help!
Me, killing the pilot's past on run 14: "Wait this was supposed to be my unknownth run?"
It's easy once you get the rainbow run and the Gunther. Restart until you get the Gunther in the first chest, always use it, improve your bullets every floor and beat the game every time with any character.
Welp, I'm 41 hours in and I FINALLY beat the Dragun glad its only 2 minutes of the process
i 0ne shot every form of the lich with a god tier ranbow run
Just unlock the platinum bullets and you win. After just 1 or 2 floors even your starter weapon will shred everything.
The prime primer is easily the hardest one to get threw normal play
Here’s a fun lil’ fact: wax wings make assembling the bullet pieces much easier.
You: yes! I beat enter the gungeon the full story
Me: killed by dragun
Nearly 30 hours and +70 attempts, but finally reached The Gun that Killed the Past with Pilot for my first time.
I feel called out when he put the bullet parts in and showed the runs amount
