Try a Synergy challenge. Start with whatever item you get from either a chest on the first floor, or that you buy from the first floor. Every time you would get something from a chest or shop, etc, you instead spawn anything that synergizes with your item. Then! Repeat this process, only going for items that synergize with the last item you acquired. The point is to always have a synergy going, regardless of what you use. But, if you give yourself an item that doesn't synergize further, you are stuck, and must complete the run with what you had acquired up to that point.

If you want something to be more of a "challenge" when doing something like this: you should open the chest first (so that uses a key and you don't get junk at the same time) or buy the item from the shop (so that you spend your casings) and drop/leave the item on the floor and THEN give yourself the item. This way you still have to do the resource managing of the normal game.
Not junking chests is basically just wasting a key though, and locked rooms are almost required for challenges. Also, he usually does buy the item then drop it in shops.

A funny thing about gilded bullets is that it stacks with other gilded bullets. If you chose to only give yourself gilded bullets, you could potentially defeat all enemies in just one hit, except if they have an immortality skill, like the Lead Maiden.

This makes dodge rolling deal 315 damage. Then you need springheel boots and ballistic boots so that you move faster and triple dodge roll. The only twist to this challenge is the fact that you may pick up NO ITEMS (blanks are fine) and if you EVER get hit, the challenge is failed.

Actually opening the chests/making the shop purchases and then leaving the items behind would make this more of a real challenge. I always thought on these challenges you should have actually bought the items in the store and actually used the keys on chests, then dropped the items for the rat. Getting an item at every opportunity is OP.
It's something to do with the crest, for some reason armor you get after picking up the crest appears slightly lower on the HUD than the rest of your armor. It goes back to normal height when you turn in the crest/lose the crest
Next time do this so it is a challenge indeed. Use keys to open chests and choose from the chest's tier of bullets. No keys - no upgrades. Let the rat take the stuff you opened up. Also in shops buy the item so you spend the money and then add a same tiered bullet upgrade to yourself (and drop the item), sure it is a bit more work, but it is actually challenging this way.
Commenting before watching the full vid, but it would be a good idea to buy things from the shop and then drop them afterwards so that it’s like you purchased the other upgrade. Fun challenge here, keep it up man
Here's an item for an Isaac challenge. Get 5 of the same item, preferably one with little to no effects, and then use the D4 to reroll yourself. From there, you have to reroll yourself every time you get a new item. You can make it easier/harder by adding/subtracting the amount of starting items you get.
Robot challenge that is meant to be fun: Order Online Challenge Play as the robot You can only use infinite ammo weapons Whenever you would get a passive, replace it with a guon stone Whenever you would get a weapon, replace it with a bullet upgrade Every time you come across 5 heart peices (Keep track of these) you may give yourself a bullet upgrade or guon stone. You may keep active items you find though, as well as Master Rounds and anything from the rat chests.
