Hey there! We prefer the sexbolt over the stock z-endstop because of the large, flat surface you get to probe on and the adjustment built in to the endstop itself.
@@kernelsandoz I fixed that on mine by filing a flat spot in around the middle of the pin inline with where the grub screw goes in. Then put a grub screw in not tight just enough to prefer pin from coming out. Still has full motion to hit button but won't fall out.
@@Fr0stByte917 If I had read the manual more closely I would have done the same. The first time I turned the Voron over to get at the electronics I took the pin out before it could fall out. Then I left myself a note to put it back. I was so pleased with myself. The second time I took it out but forgot to put it back, bang. Determined to not make the same mistake I ordered the Sexbolt, then I read the manual again. My Formbot kit came with a preassembled Z endstop ( and the parts to make one) which used a 2 wire connector so the Sexbolt was a drop in replacement. I did need to find a longer screw, just like in this video. Any excuse to do a mod.
Just found your youtube linked from your Discord, Great Channel! honestly, a lot of really helpful content!
Does the endstop needs to be same height of the bed or can it higher than the bed?
it can be a bit higher, but not lower.
@@MapleLeafMakers thank you for the reply. I put it on my printer and its giving about 4mm on top of the sexbolt z endstop from the bed. Is that ok?
Hey what's the point of this mod compared to stock

@@MapleLeafMakers I'm here for the pin not falling out feature.
