Neo Roger Federer was an absolute monster both physically and mentally.
Enjoy one of his most memorable matches ever of the 2017 season.
Thank you, Roger for everything you've done for tennis.
This video serves as a reminder of how very good Berdych was back in the day.
Ikr … dude doesn’t get enough credit imo
If only his movement wasn’t so bad… his defensive skills suffered from it and that wins you the big tournaments in the end
Great video to cover this re-match. Although just a slight correction, their 2010 Miami encounter was in the 4th round (Berdych went on to defeat Verdasco in the quarterfinals). Their 2017 Miami rematch was in the quarterfinals.
Thanks brother, and damn you're right 😂❤️
2017 was payback time in everything,
Nadal at AO, IW, Miami
Berdych at Miami, WB
Raonic at WB
Zverev at Halle
Del Potro at Basel
Not Del Potro at US Open though.
And no Djoko
@@philharrisson7738 sure, djokovic not arrived at finals round this year, and run for wb semifinal
@@Nathanael_Gomes Fed lost to Djoko at every grand slam encounters starting 2011 if I'm not mistaken... lost some very famous finals along the way... he had his chance (2 in fact) to pay back in Wimby final in 2019, but...
@@philharrisson7738 you are right, there is no discuss
Wow, this was amazing! Berdych was playing at such a high level, thanks for this!
My pleasure, Johann!
Damn these are some crazy shots! Most of us only saw that one dropshot but never saw the full match
Berdych froze like he was being a spectator.. then his mind was like 'but I am a player'
Roger almost lost this match! A match in which he actually schooled Berdych was at the 2017 Australian Open.
ooo yes this was the match that was followed by one of the best 3 set matches of all time, feds really clutched up for this sunshine double
You got that right my man
Fun match!
Oh l think there is a slight hiccup in your sequence dear friend. It wasn't the semifinal I think. But nonetheless, yes, yes, yes revenge is sweet. Amazing play from Roger. Reinforces how every game is a lesson to learn from. Thanks Wivo. This is an enjoyable watch.
After 2012 Berdych did not defeat Federer a single time until the end of Berdych's career. It was probably a change in tactics that worked in Federer's favor.
Nope, 2013 Dubai Berdych beat Fed.
@@ashleythomas4112 Ah. Oh well, we can always pretend 2013 didn’t happen.
Your videos are ao good, but why are they in 720p?
Thanks buddy! Well, most of these original matches were only available at 720p unfortunately. So scaling to 1080p wouldn't be beneficial for video quality.
+ living in a third world country internet connection 😢
For the 100th time, what is the point of denigrating any of three of the greatest players in history? And does anyone making such comments know anything about who preceded them? Aside from these ‘debates’ being pointless and misguided, if you know anything whatsoever about actual statistics, ie, the discipline of statistics, you know also that these comparisons have no statistical validity whatsoever: too many confounding variables. Just enjoy their greatness, each in their own way. And … let’s not forget Serena, Steffi Graf, Martina, Chris Evert, Billie Jean King …
And if you really think that Federer won 2 GS in 2017 only bc Djokovic wasn’t there, take a look at the AO 2017 final vs Nadal. Great match. Two great players, and Nadal had Federer on the ropes. Again: just enjoy. That’s what these clips are for. We’re lucky to have them.
And perhaps watch this match?
SLOW court
2nd
The only reason Federer won 2 slams in 2017 is because Novak wasn't really there 😂
he wouldnt even have won a french open if robin soderling didnt go crazy against nadal
If mama federer and papa federer hadn't stayed in that night, we wouldn't have even known him
The only reason Novak won 2016 Roland Garros is because Nadal wasn't really there.
You can make that stupid argument for so many players.
Just appreciate what has been done :)
yeah good exuses
@@yueyueye7493 well it happened we cannot change the history books Rafa wouldn't have won the AO if Nole was there same logic here
