I’ve had a 10mm version since 2016. Never had any problems. Great gun!! Fits into a backpack no problem. Great for camping.
does it cycle 220gr hardcast bear loads?
@@touge242 Never tried them as I live in South Texas.
I have the rifle version of this in 9mm. Alot of fun at the range. It's ambidextrous you just need to open it up and switch which side the ejector is on.
Was wondering that with it being opened on both sides.
I too have the 9. Really like it alot.
It was when they first came out.
No shroud. Breaks down and reassembles very quickly. EZ cleaning.

Good to see somebody think of the lefty's.
Way to be inclusive.
.
Little bit more to it than simply switching which side the 'ejector' is on. For starters, let's not get ejectors and extractors mixed up. To change the ejection from right side to left side you have to move the 'extractor' from the right side of the bolt to the left side, then you have to swap the ejector's position with the bolt stop in the trigger group portion of the firearm.
I don’t even need to watch the video to know he calls it a “great little truck gun
Same here. I was waiting for it. Put a Law folder on that and I’m game. 👌🏽
😂😂😂
What if I told you he actually didn't say that in the video?
@@ben10mama. I’d say buy me a lotto ticket while you’re out
Wont' be "flying under the radar" any more. Get 'em while you can.
already jacked the price.
Cabelas has them but they want $700?!?!
@@iamgermane I got mine from buds gun shop recently for 579.
I have one of the first TNW rifles it shoots the 10mm. With the 16" barrel. Mine is in the green with black lines like tiger striped. I had this one for about 4 years, awesome shooting.
I got lucky and bought mine for $549.00 (after rebate) back in April 2020, long before many people found out about them. It has been fantastic. My only minor complaint is the lack of last round bolt hold open. If it had that it would be unbeatable.
This firearm wasn’t based on anything, but it’s also based on everything.
Tim Bero originally pulled design concept from the M31 Suomi. And overall many of the sub guns from that era. So while it is it's own design he basically took the old school sub guns and applied it to the needs of a Bush pilot (Tim Bero is also a pilot) needing a gun they can put in a survival kit or backpack. I once put 3 in one back pack, Plus ammo 😂.
@@eta24 the Suomi is s great gun.
@@CS-zn6pp Heavy, but great.
Like a mutt dog. And they’re the best.
I bought a carbine in 9mm and liked it so well I bought a carbine in 45ACP. Then they came out with the pistol version. Now I just wish they’d do away with the ATF so I could have barrels shortened and threaded proper. These would be great suppressed.
Proudly made in my home of Columbia County Oregon!
Do you know where these are sold or may carry them?
@@arlissyoung8899 lots of places carry them. I bought mine direct from my ffl who picked it up from the factory. They were also for sale on classic firearms last I looked
I haven’t see any in Oregon yet.
Actually only part of the gun is made there. The lower and handguards are made in Saginaw Texas.
@@eta24 showed him.
A cold day at the range is better than a comfortable day at the workplace
Quite possibly my next firearm, I will be getting it in 10mm.
I got the rifle in 10mm as my first firearm, and it works good now but I probably got over my head honestly. I would not recommend ETS clear magazines for this as in my experience they get stuck in place.
Don’t do it!! Real Ar pistols are way more reliable, less problematic, and function way better. I know too many folks that have had issues with these. They lure folks in with their interchangeable caliber capability for a cheap price, but you sacrifice reliability and quality just to do this a little less expensive than typical upper swapping with ar’s.
Yea 40 cal would be an ideal caliber choice for it bro
@@jaydenbobb6816 40 cal isnt the 10mm i am speaking of, 40 cal is a bastardized, neutered 10mm.
What kind of 10mm, firearm ?
Happy New Year!!
May this be a wonderful year ahead for all of you, filled with many interesting opportunities, exciting adventures, amazing experiences, love, laughter, joy, friendship and fulfilment!
Using the 16" barrel with 10mm gets awesome velocity and is quite capable of taking down mid sized game. Oregon produces great shit.
Its flown under the radar because its a pcc for 900$ and the ship time is 10 to 14 weeks, very cool little gun though
Got mine when they were 650$ about 5 years back
I just picked mine up yesterday. Bought a Holosun 510C and Cloud Defensive Owl for it. Ordered an Emissary Development Hand Brake and a Magpul BTS brace. I love the look of this gun. I haven’t been excited to buy/handle a gun in years.
Enjoy shooting my TNW rifle . Had several issues at first with it from the trigger breaking 🙈 to push pins jamming and breaking 🙄 to the barrel I ordered in 45 acp being rusted all up😒 BUT....... any and all issues I had I called TNW up and they sent the fix out to me asap every single time. I have the parts to do 45 acp , 40 , 357 sig , 10mm and 9mm and its very enjoyable to shoot especially suppressed . Takes all my glock mags , I put the stock on it that I wanted , just a really well versed rifle . TNW makes an awesome product and they stand behind all of their products like a true company would . Customer for life here . I wish they could take their customer service abilities and train the tools at PSA............. never buying their products again they never fixed one damn issue on any product I use to own of their's...........
I know someone who had the 45 ACP rifle version and it shot extremely well and the low recoil impulse surprised me
I have a 45 ACP, and it shoots great out to 100 yards, haven't done further.
Worth mentioning. we love these up here in Canada
Slightly different build for the Canadian market. 18.75" barrel, no front barrel hand guard, but does come with rear adjustable stock.
@@vinzclortho8938 the hand guard is optional here in Canada and it's entirely up to the importer to bring them in as an accessory. I'm looking for their AR-15 handguard adaptor and it's all sold out.
I absolutely love mine. I have my R5 set to about thirty feet and it is frikkin’ lethal. Great little gun. As far as its designation as a “survival” pistol I’d have to disagree a little bit. The easy removal of the barrel is great but otherwise there are a lot of small parts which is a big consideration for field stripping and cleaning out of doors. And like our astute videographer noted, it does get dirty quickly. That being said, it shoots well dirty. Way better than many other guns when they get dirty.
Can't be a "survival" rifle without iron sights.
Sure can
Yeah we’ve got optics that last years on a set of batteries/y. Plus auto off/shake on. And then there’s solar powered re-charging. Irons should be taught to any and everyone with the rest of the basics. I agree if you can’t use your rifle with irons, you really can’t use it. That being said... it’s not 1993 anymore. You can get a quality RDS for $100 or so. Low power variables for not much more. BUIS are recommended. But I’m not sure they’re still a necessity. Carry a single spare battery (often in the grip or fore grip) and you’ve got battery for a few years. You can find more batteries or something to substitute in that time. EMP what you’re worried about? Then yeah, probably. But realistically speaking, you’re probably okay without. Today $50 ammo > $50 BUIS
Put some cheap folding sights on it.
The word “survival” pistol is dumb anyways. How many of these crap guns have came out in the last 10yrs marketed as “survival”? Too many. Most of them in 22LR. Gimmicky and unrealistic
Yep. Ruger makes some tough, affordable BUIS that will also right onto that rail.
I've got a set on my Banshee 10mm. Was kind of hesitant about them, because they're so affordable (cheap). But, after a couple thousand rounds, a northern Michigan deer season, and banging around in the back seat of the truck for a year, they've proven themselves.
I just got one in 10mm. Thanks to Everglades for having 10mm brass to reload and Dillon! Thanks for the review 8888. Looks like it’s going to be a blast!
i know the cmmg banshee is a better platform. but the fact the the tnw can ship with 3 different drop ins for 3 calibers for less is a big plus
3 caliber kit is around $1200 iirc. I want the 45/10/357Sig combo.
I didn't know about the kit til after getting my 9 mm. I'm thinking about the 40/45/357 package.
Happy New Year! For a Survival Rifle "...not being very easy to field strip and clean" makes this a hard NO for me.
In the time since i posted my question, I ended up picking up this little gun. It works great after break in. I disagree with Eric, this gun is very simple to work on. I find it easier than my AR15’s in some respects
I think the proliferation of PCCs with more engineered actions like the MPX, Stribog and CMMG Banshee on the high end, and other neat options in straight blowback like the AK-V and now AR-V have left things like this and the older "Just Right" carbines lost in the middle but I still imagine they'll sell. The PCC market is just saturated right now, and a good thing too considering demand is at an all time high.
Failed to mention that caliber conversion kits are available for these guns.
Yeah I noticed that stamp on the side said 9/40/357, presumably 9mm/40 S&W/357 SIG.
I live in a suburb right out of NYC. AR's are non-existent so the most common ammo is 9mm. So for shtf and I have to scavenge, I have this with a 9mm and 40 S & W barrels and a can so if I have to take game in my backyard I am not drawing too much attention. Very practical for non-ar areas.
I'll take my Extar EP9 over this every day of the week. $419 when I bought it, $449 now. They're just not making them fast enough.
Love my extar!!!!
Amen.
If Extar makes a gen 2 that uses a mil spec buffer tube, allowing me to put a folding or collapsible brace on it, I'm all over it!
They really do need to up production
I own both, you can’t shoot nearly as fast with literally zero misfires as this one. That larger chamber and ejection port is what makes this fun gun shine over all the other PCC’s. Like literally ZERO misfires. I miss fire 1 in every couple of glock mags through the Extar.
Happy New Year! from northern Canada!
I bought a LCP second generation last year for$165. Same store now $280. No 380 for 9 months. Have found 500 rounds of 9mm in the same time period.

I have the ASR in 10mm and 460 Rowland. Not as accurate as I would like, but it is what it is. The trigger is also rather small for those of us with bear paw hands. I keep trying to get them to make a 40 Super or 9x25 Dillon barrel.
Oh, and if you plan to suppress it....expect a TON of gas & unburnt powder in the face. I would go with the OSS or other no/low backpressure cans.
I have the same set up...a 40 Super would be SUPER!!! Have a lathe just need a 40 barrel and a reamer. I guess OAL is why we didn't get a 45 Win Mag.
Almost fell into a 10mm Banshee. Decided to go 45acp since it will handel 45 Super as well. You may have to do s.bit of adjustment but it has duality. 10mmis a favorite of mine but rather costly going full Banshee. The 230 gr 45acp is a wrecking ball. And Underwood makes some serious 45 Super whistlers at the same 10mm Underwood velocities.
Hahaha I love when southerners say it's cold outside. It always sounds like a joke.
Happy New Year! Best wishes for all! Great review, and I'm sure you're a great shot, but I would love to see what the true accuracy potential if this pistol is on paper. Also, it cries out for a folding stock.
It's $900 bucks so that's why it's flying under most folks radar. I'm not interested at that price. Really happy with my Extar at less than half the price.
Love my EP-9 From Extar.
The Highpoint carbines( from Ohio) are not too bad for a cheap carbine. - yawning watching the ND/ Bama waiting for a real football game
@@lowlifeangler Yeah those things were very cheap back in the day. $150. They are still pretty cheap under $300. Good shooters too but the limited capacity hurt it in my eyes.
Eric you can get a 1/2x28 female to male adapter to extend the barrel about 1 inch to run a can .
1:15 Explains supply and demand. Has nearly 2.5 million followers. Good luck finding these for the next year...
It "looks" like adding a 3 lug mount for the suppressor would allow it to clear.
this is 4th vid of yours in a row that i havent been notified for bro... good thing i keep checking your channel.
AERO survival Rifle takes down fits in backpack! Simple!
I love this gun and was able to pick it up for $400.00 from a friend of mine back in 2020 chambered in 10MM.
I actually think it's easy to take down, if you don't have that handguard. You have to get used to pushing the barrel inward to remove the bolt handle, which makes the entire upper come apart. Easy peasy. The stock/buffer assembly is the one weird section to take down and replace. BTW I have this in 9, 10, 40, & 45.
Whoever designed the smaller targets figurines CLEARLY did not think this all the way through!!!!!!
The reason, in my opinion since I own the carbine version, for the lack of last round bolt hold open is when you "slam" home a mag it can overseat the mag and cause a malfunction. I believe Hickock45 had those issues when testing the carbine version. I'm currently looking for the 357 Sig version but I will most likely have to order it from the factory. Stay safe and have a Happy New Year.
I have the 10mm version and I always put the mag in with a closed bolt and then load one, not had any issues, as long as i do that.
@@markshane2686 I have the 10mm as well to ba a companion to my Glock 29. TNW really got it's reputation making historic weapons like the MG 42. It is a semi-auto version but it screams bad to the bone when you see it shoot. Happy New Year to you.
All I could think was. Dollar a round. In the first 50 seconds.
Prices are insane these days.
Only going to get worse...
9mm is down to $.45 online.
Got a 10mm version in that color. Made well and it's got some weight very solid.
I've been looking to get this rifle in the 10mm chambering for backpacking. Still think my m6 is the better overall survival rifle. But the ASR looks pretty darn good. Thanks for the video, well done!
If ya do, I highly recommend the mlok handguard so you can get a proper c-clamp on the front to really drive it out 👍👍
I have the 45 acp rifle version. Had a problem with feeding. Polished the feed ramp. Bought the match trigger and it wouldn't reset. Had to polish that. Just be aware that you may have to problem solve.
i think 3,4 people shooting can sing a song, the target plat tuning the right tone or note when the bullet land on. and one shooter for tempo ,like a drummer, make tempo like bom ba bom ba ,just do some math about how far and bullet speed, sound and bullet flying in different speed ,so you can hear fire sound form you gun first then hear the note when bullet land on target plat. i think can be fun.
It would be easy to take that hand guard out to the garage to square the end up so u could suppress it
Mine doesn't even have the handguard, and there is an AR style handguard adapater available.
Named after Steve Vai’s Ibanez with the same name? I can dig it!
So it doesn't dissipate heat, you can't wear gloves with this "survival pistol", doesn't break down, the stocks garbage and it runs filthy. And no bolt hold open. What a fantastic survival weapon.
You don;t have to remove the rail to remove the barrel, just push the left side lever by the frame and turn counterclockwise. Also the brace looks AR but the law folder won't work my gunsmith tried it. I have it in 10mm and glock mags it works well.
Thank you. Impressive cartridge!
hey Iraqveteran...the early versions of this pistol had feeding/ejecting problems. did you encounter other of those?
I have that problem w/ the 9mm
@@danqarious4733 I wonder if they use the same spring on the bolt mechanism for all calibers? I have some more powerful rounds im going to try.
Man im early. Happy new years all
Looks like a lot of fun! Happy New Year!
I have one when they came out n they were like nearly 1000. I wish I woulda held back until they made their left handle model but I love it none the less
N as you just mentioned with that rail section, those are changeable. On the rifle variant tou can use that rail system or get the adapter to run whatever m-lock you want. The pistol of course is a different beast
I live up here in Canada, I just bought one of these full length pieces. Too bad I'm stuck with 5 to 10 rounders
Happy new year Eric and chad
At a 900 dollar price tag its a BIG no for me.
Not too bad
That's 2 AR's ....well it was
Its actually 799.99, or theres an 80% build from them for about 350.
They are drastically better than a Vector. I shot my buddies, and it was drastically better in every way then the vector 10mm that I owned. Lighter, just as accurate, more compact, easy to break down, and the safety is in a better position.
@Nate i bought the 10mm when it first came out, man was i excited! I was ultimately let down. The position of the safety was terrible, under recoil with heavy rounds (even with the reduced recoil of the action), it drove the safety into my thumb, making shooting incredibly uncomfortable to say the least.
Great guns, both pistol and rifle, only issue with his comments is I don't think they are hard to break down... barrel is easy with out the stroud... and the lower just takes knocking out two pins.... and bolt will drop out through the front when barrel is removed.
Do a review on the 10mm. I want to see if they resolved the jamming issues. They didn’t used to have to hand guards before. That is fairly new. I like the design and concept behind those guns and they are reasonably priced.
Looks a lot faster handling than my frontheavy Ruger pc carbine. Had a Sub 2000 gen 1 in 40 S&W but it was unreliable feeding hollowpoints and horrendous trigger.
I got the 10mm pistol in black topped with the Holosun HS403R 1x Red Dot Sight very handy truck gun
HAPPY NEW YEAR to all The fans of one of the best sports ever ( Shooting sports ) . That Guns looks good but for me if you can’t upgrade some parts like the Trigger is not good . I still love more my Ruger pc Charger because is accurate and more compact.
I have not seen your reloading videos anymore. were they taken down? I really found them informative. If so, where can I find them?
I have the survival rifle version in 10mm, love the gun. The only problem I have is it is picky with some mag brands and I get a failure to eject every once in awhile. Anyway to fix the occasional failure to eject?
Looks like a cool little PCC, but I think I'd rather stick with the traditional AR platform.
Happy new year’s

The prototype for this gun was designed originally for African security from a box of random parts and a piece of pipe by a guy named Chris from Texas I got to shoot the mark 1 version as well as the prototype. the prototype used the old-school grease gun mags
Glad you're 9mm runs good. My brother picked one up in 45 it has been sent back more than once
did they (TNW) ever get it right?
@@shcaskey I think my brother just gave up on it
@@shcaskey I just got the 9mm version a week ago. I have put a couple hundred rounds through it and no problems yet fingers crossed. I’ve heard rumors that they have fixed whatever issues people have been having with them but have never seen it directly addressed in the reviews. You would think after about 5+years people having fte’s and stove pipes they would have done something about it.
Cool gun! And sweet looking brace...(But, I might have to take that brace to the band saw, and shorten it up a smidge.) Wish it had the last round bolt hold open, too!
I just ordered one. Love the look. Why does your gun have a shorter barrel. I like the Skeleton Handguard on yours, but again, yours has a shorter barrel. Can't find answers on that.
What a way to start the new year! I hope you and yours have a Blessed Happy New Year!
Nice hat. I’ve always liked the Survival rifle TNW. thinking one day a 10mm might be in the future.

It reminds me of an updated Sten MK2. I ordered one a few days ago.
Some States don't allow that PISTOL. but if you put a 16" barrell on it & offer the Thordsen stock it'll sell in all States.
That charging handle is hella cool.
Do a video on the FGC 9, the "ghost gun" carbine that is made from mostly 3d printed pieces and other easily acquired parts
I might have missed it . But my xtar ep9 is great but would like to see your thoughts I think it’s under radar.
Correct me if I'm wrong but a "pistol" is not shoulder fired, less it be a short barrel rifle? Not bagging just curious what the proper usage of a pistol brace is vs a sbr?
that be one of dem scary ghost guns with a trigger well and a shoulder thing that goes up
I don't understand how they missed the suppressor support when they designed this firearm.
If it's supposed to be a survival pistol, a survivalist would not want to be spotted while firing.
9mm is easy so suppress.
Also, in a survival condition, a easy way to clean the gun would be appreciated.
In cold conditions, survivalists wear gloves, trigger guard might be too small.
at that price point I'll stick with my sub2k but I do love the ambi features
Ya shoulder fire the brace, the ATF loves that. Your honor I have exhibit A video.
Anyone think he is trying so hard not to say he hates but remembers he has to be nice about it because he got it free to test...
I bought one of these a couple months ago and it doesnt fully open the port to eject. Had to send it back been 2 months zzzz nothing. It also did not eject to the left as im left handed.
How is it now, any problems ?

@@Soli_Deo_Gloria_. I got it back finally it still seems to not work properly they said it was because there was a non mil spec bolt and they replaced it, it seems if you have the bolt forward then put the mag in then charge it it’s fine but if you load it with the bolt open it jams every couple rounds
Maybe they are worried the ATF and anti- gunners will attack it. Looks like a nice piece!
I had one of these in .45ACP for a while, I didn't like it. The duel sided breach just blasted gas back in my face. It's really uncomfortable to shoot, I would not recommend buying one of these, unless you like closing your eyes when you shoot.
