One of the best live performances ever 🤘
I remember seeing this in 2010 and it inspired me to learn how to play the piano
Terrific! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
This is my fav intro to any song currently.
The Heart of Saturday Night is more than just an album. It's more like a sonic painting.
Love Tom and embarrassingly, only discovered this album tonight. What a night it has been though
@@jamesgriffiths1551 I suppose it left you fumblin' with the blues ;)
I was born 30 years too late to see that!!!!
Amazing..!!❤
Is no one going to point out the porno mag sticking out of his pocket? What an absolute Chad.
TOP NOTCH
There are two things we should send astronauts up with for the unlikely situation of existential oblivion. One is the suicide painless pill that we currently employ. The second, which I argue is more in line with the needs and expression of a human individual, is a playlist of Tom Waits fed directly into our ears on repeat. If you're gonna go. Go with style.
Would anyone happen to know the name of the sax player?
thats Pete Christlieb
Yeah New coat of Paint reminds me of day drinking and the alcohol high that makes you say things you will never do….or being suave with your lady. Idk
Hm... a time machien would be great. I want to feel the atmosphere.
I don’t get millennials there like you I just wanna die there’s so much beautiful art and music in this world
Mr waits was superb through the 70´s and pitifully boring from then on, but then almost all music is superfluous nowadays. late 60´s and early 70´s , those were the days. in my humble opinion, nighthawks at the diner is his best effort. Listen to it on lp as it should be. there is nothing like good music on a turntable. greetings from down south Barcelona.
Bone Machine is an amazing album and so are many of his later works
I completely agree, so rare to find someone who actually prefers his earlier works (even though he made some bangers later on)
Le dediqué esta rola a la primera nena que me ha gustado de veras en años, Diosito haz que funcione 🙏
Personally, I was not a fan of his singing style change. Loved his vocals on the first few albums. When he started singing like this, was a disappointment. Still a fan and bought albums after, but his earlier singing style much more preferred.
Sounds like he’s trying to imitate Louis Armstrong. I don’t mind it too much, he uses it to great effect on his Real Gone album.
