I would definitely like to see this portal setup with the old AXE 3300 system in it and NO swaybar (to maximize articulation) to see how it **really** crawls. These are on the list for my ryft which I am building out as a crawler - mostly because everyone says "it won't work well for that" - I like proving people wrong :-)

Looks like the 4ws works better with the portals adding some width. Dammn that thing turns on a dime. Game changer for crawling man.

@King420man King420man You are definitely taking it out of it's element trying to just make it crawl. With all that Vitavon and cutting the speed in half it's doable. Like you said, worth it?? Nope. But it's the the person's $$$ and what they want. I think the Ryft is better at full speed bouncing with just the Vitavon axle upgrade!!! It's still a cool rig!!!
Definitely like to see the other Ryft getting its upgrades. 👍 Looking forward to seeing what those portals end up on, too... 🛠🕺

I have 4ws on my GOM and use a Spektrum DX5C and it works great for steering control.

I think an Axe would be good with the portals.
@@ExocagedRC agreed, saw your video introducing the portals. Already have the axe with a 13t and it works pretty well, cutting in half will be a about perfect. The vitavon stuff looks really.good

I have a set of Yeti XT's coming for the shocks, and will be installing a Castle Copperhead 1406 Slate 3800KV crawler edition. Need to get new Driveshaft parts from Horizon, using the Originals in the Bouncer.
Awesome build you have. Do the ryft axles fit the wraith r 60 platform? Or do the new portals only fit the vitavan ryft axles?

Did I hear you correctly in that only your center diff is locked? Or are all of them? Sure looked like the tires were all spinning at the same speed.
Those portal gears look Capra based.
So the Rear Axel is compatible with both the rear hubs and the steering knuckles??? Or do I Need to buy 2 Front Axels?? Pls lmk ASAP THANKS.👍Awesome Video

I reckon you should definitely try the AXE 3300kv, it should do quite well now.
And when will you be putting the Vitavon rear steering links on the back? It's killing my OCD 😆

Hobbywing axe r2 3300kv and the Black Mamba's. Then find a gnarly rooted rocky slippery hill and go for it. In regards to your friends Ryft, just depends what he is willing to spend and what he wants to do with it

I have been waiting for this video. I got my portals a few days ago but vitavon didn't send the pin screws for one of my knuckles. So i am glad to see this video. Can i change the direction of the motor on my controller? Or do i need to order a program card?
if you have the stock esc you can just swap any two wires going to the motor to reverse it

When you say "don't believe Axial when they say its 32 pitch", what exactly do you mean? Will 32 pitch pinions not work?
These gears are mod1. Not 32p so no a 32p pinion will not work

Long videos are fine as long as there is action most of the way through.
While trying so hard to lower the cg on the ryft in previous videos he just made it worse.
LoL yeah it’s up now but not for long. I have plans for these portals in something else. But I set it next to a stock Ryft and believe it or not the chassis is still lower.
