- In addition to playing Lieutenant Danny Romano in the movie version of Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea (1961), Frankie Avalon sang the title song over the opening credits.
2:05 The dramatic image of the Seaview rising out of the water became a hallmark of both the movie, and the TV series.
Yeah it is very breathtaking especially in slow motion. I wish they would make a new motion picture of it again. 👍🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Frankie's voice vastly improved about 1960. That teenage voice was replaced with an excellent adult voice. I met him many years ago here in my hometown, and he was kind enough to autograph two of his albums.
I heard this many times throughout 1961. Yes, I guess I am that old, but don't figure out my age. LOLOLOLOL.
So many scenes from this movie were used in the TV series
Beautiful song
What a classic song. So beautiful.
Loved this movie ad a kid
This should have been the opening song of the show or the end credits.
I noticed Delbert Monroe's name in the credits. He played "Kowalski" in the TV series; in this movie, he plays "Seaman Kowski."
The seaview had lots of semen.
@@squatch545 😬
@@squatch545 that's SEA MEN , Not to be confused with semen.
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
One of Irwin's best efforts. The movie was quite good! The series had it's moments, but the aliens and monsters took over and the show became very campy.
Sung actually by the Captain of the Titanic.
Oh, snap!
@@christianorr1059 Lol!
I enjoyed this movie from Irwin Allen
Great song ..... Movie was, ooooh ok.. ☺
Seaview breaching near-vertical never made any sense to me. That's a can of chunky salsa at that point.
The Nautilus breaching was the most exciting part of the movie. The rest was a snooze-fest.
