been to london numerous times and never heard of "canada square"!! Makes lot of sense. looks identical to the scotia bank arena in downtown Toronto over here. Keep it up mate. enjoying how raw and exploratory your content is
You'll go places lad. Literally. I won't be surprised if you'd end up visiting over a hundred countries one day. Your videos are interesting and it's like travelling down memory lane for me.
@10:39 the golf ball shape building is the now vacated London City Hall, built for the London Assembly elected members 2002, but the current Mayor Sadiq Khan couldn’t afford to heat it and moved the London Assembly to Royal Victoria Docks. The Golf ball building architect was Norman Foster who also created Canary Wharf jubilee line station.
Well done…..that was a great tour of non-touristy London. The montage from the cable car and indeed the boat were very nicely edited, good work. In some of the shots of shop windows as you are walking about we can see a reflection……is it your mom ? I’m guessing you are not on your own all the time ! Keep up the good work. Looking forward to your next video. 👍
@@urban-UK then, have fun tomorrow. BTW….maybe I missed it somewhere, but I don’t know your name. I’m guessing Urban is not it, although, the is a kid called Lyric who does music reaction videos on UA-cam, so nothing will surprise me. Take care, and keep up the good work.
I was watching videos on British cities on the decline--there are lots of them--and then your video popped up. Nice to see something positive! Canary Wharf might be a developer's idea of what New York is like around Midtown, but the reality is very, very different. There are so many different types of neighborhoods in Manhattan itself, from the cozy and historic West Village to shops on 5th and Madison Avenues to the brand new Hudson Yards. Canary Wharf actually reminds me a bit of Hudson Yards, i.e., an older version of the same typology of offices, shopping malls, and public spaces.
Great video! The reason canary wharf isn't as packed with tourists is that a lot of people just think that it is boring (without even going there!) Looking forward to the next video, wherever that may be lol
At Canary Wharf you could have had a walk through the roof garden on top of Crossrail Place, there is also a multi-coloured elevated covered walkway bridge between Crossrail Place and Canada Place. Beneath Crossrail Place below the waterline line is Canary Wharf Elizabeth Line station.
I also visited Canary Wharf earlier this year and found it to be quite interesting and a decent place to walk around for a while...and ironically I also got a meal deal to eat in a park. I found the wobbly DLR to be preferable to riding the tube if I'm being honest, just as it was less crowded and you could see out.
Nice, yeah the DLR trains are good but the windows were just so dirty. I did actually pop in to the O2 for about 20 minutes but I didn’t film any of it. I hope you enjoyed the video!
Crikey, you really got around on your London trip. Well done! I've never been on a DLR train in London, so that was interesting. The closest I've been to that is the driverless shuttle at Gatwick and the Metro in Copenhagen (which runs all night). I didn't know you were going on the FIS cable car, so that was a surprise! Glad you got your own car! I only went to the 02 once and that was to see a King Tut exhibition. I think the 12 yellow spikes represent the months of the year. I've been on trips down the Thames in the past, to London Zoo and Hampton Court. I can recommend going inside the Tower of London, but its horrendously expensive 😱. I think that round building is the London City Hall, its where all the important decisions about London used to be made.
I want to live in london, defo a carefree vibe there with cameras and stuff. I imagine the yellow things hold the cables which hold the tent up on the O2??
the DLR trains are not doing so well because new trains are being introduced soon (next yeat hopefully 🤞) so TfL don't care about maintaining their soon-to-be scrap
Great video. Some smashing shots. Canary Warf regarding the skyline is awesome but personally a find the area rather sterile and soulless. Unlike your comment i feel it needs more people, more street entertainment to give the area a better vibe.

I can’t quite remember but I think canary wharf was designed but New York developers so maybe that’s something to do with it.

Looks awesome, loads of space and few people. Note to self - take a packed lunch. Truly excellent film, outstanding!!

Not been to London in over 4 years. I mainly went for work purposes. But looking at the crowds, I feel that this is OK.
Yeah, if you go to canary wharf there near to no crowds on the week days.

Possibly, it’s quite strange. I might look it up.
That globular building is City Hall; originally the HQ of the Mayor of London. But they moved out and I don't know what's in there now.
Cool thanks

Your accents sounds Southern
Yes, I’m from Gloucestershire.
@@urban-UK Most people will simply think you are a Londoner. I expected the West Country accent to be more pronounced.
@@ThomasField-t8i I don’t really have a regional accent. I speak in Received Pronunciation. But I am from the west country.
