Your video is a reminder of why Cardiff was a good choice for me to do my exchange semester in! I distinctly remember realising my roaming did not cover the UK, so I got lost in Bute Park and had to ask which way the river was to orient myself. Good times...
It’s beautiful city at Cardiff place good posh and clean place I love city of Cardiff good project and job well done 👏 I do enjoyed watch your video is very good views and great work cheers to you
Brilliant video! The contrast between the modern architecture and the older building is quite shocking, but really cool. Always an enjoyable watch! Thanks for sharing! Looking forward to the next! Cyril the squirrel!
The river taff runs through the centre of Cardiff, the water that runs through Bute Park is the canal feeder, it took water from the river and took it down to the docks, which were tidal. Parts of it run under the city centre, parts have been recently uncovered to create an attractive area for events and to eat your lunch!
Absolutely one of my favorite cities too especially for nightlife. Used to go out in Cardiff between 2013-2016 was amazing the vibe the atmosphere (always sunny for some reason despite it being the rainiest city in the UK)..so walkable.. St Mary's street was always packed all the valleys boys and girls would descend on Cardiff plus add in the fact lots of Uni students in a compact city..epic times Not sure what its like these days but back then it was great. Cities the size of Cardiff tend to hit the sweet spot when it comes to nightlife not too big not too small everything compact
Another great video 👍 and this time Cardiff, a city that I have long since wanted to visit. I really like how you just stroll around and remark on what you notice. So many city videos concentrate on the sights and show none of the everyday life around them, you get a nice balance. Also, I always have to smile when you tell us you need to eat or you are hungry……no video is complete without Arthur telling us he is hungry.
@ I really really want to but there’s a project that I have been working on since April and it’s over an hour long now so it’s taking up most of my time
Nice haircut! I liked the castle and the walk beside the river. I think Bute might be pronounced "be-oot", but I'm not sure. I like some brutalist architecture. The statue outside the court is of Judge Gwilym Williams of Miskin. He had quite a fearsome reputation apparently and it was said of him that he was ’a terror to malefactors.’ 😱The tram network you mentioned might be the Cardiff Crossrail.
Great video. I used to work in that area of Cardiff so I'm very familiar with it. The small river in Bute Park next to the castle is the dock feeder - a small canal to feed water to the docks. It's mainly under the streets now but a part of it was uncovered recently in Churchill Way (if you went on to Queen Street station you may have seen it). It's worth going to Cardiff in December as in that same area you've got the Christmas markets, Winter Wonderland etc.
as a welsh person some of this was triggering but fun fact when you were outside crown court you were on a stretch of road featured int there amazing 90s movie human traffic
Betty Campbell was the first Black Headmistress in Wales and a pioneer in many ways. Nothing to do with the UK government. The statue of Betty was the first in a series celebrating Welsh women.
Wow, that’s a lot of traveling. I’ve only left the uk once but I’d love to go to all those cities!! I highly recommend a visit to Cardiff if you ever get the chance!!

@@Arthur_UK Cool!
Cardiff is a great city. The arcades are brilliant!
It is!!! There’s like 30 arcades as well mostly full of expressive watch shops!!

Thanks for the info! Cardiff is an amazing city!!
Wow. The city has changed since I last lived there. Looks like a modern capital city emerging. Good video.
Thanks for watching, I first went in January this year and changed a lot since then!!

love Wales;...Cardiff in some places is similar to London, Manchester, Birmingham
Yeah, it’s very new and developed.
Never been to Cardiff but my favourite cities in the uk are Liverpool, London and Glasgow. World - New York, Oslo and Melbourne
Wow, that’s a lot of traveling. I’ve only left the uk once but I’d love to go to all those cities!! I highly recommend a visit to Cardiff if you ever get the chance!!

how much is the drone pal and how much do you have atm?
Hi, the drone costs £300 and I have about £140 at the moment. Thanks for watching!
Is that a statue of Gwilym Williams? 3:45
Yes it was!
In what town do you live ?
I live in a small town near Gloucester.
'Bute' is pronounced as ''Bewt'' as in the ''ew'' in church pew or ''view'' and not as in ''ooh'' but as in the ''ew' in ''beautiful''
Ah, thanks!
“My favorite city of all time”…but she doesn’t know the name of the river.
She?? I don’t think you need to know the name of the river to like the atmosphere of a place.
Cardiff is barely a town. There's nothing of note there. And it rains.
I think there’s a lot to see there. It is developing very quickly though so it is more centered around transportation at the moment.
That is barely true.
