- There’s a trick to everything, taking out these A4 Audi headlamps has a trick to it. There’s one bolt but you can barely see, and there’s a very small hole but you need to access to get to this bolt. Once you know how to do it it’s not bad but getting there is the hard part. The Volkswagen Passat is also set up the same way. In the video I show 2005 A4 Audi sedan but there are a lot of similar years but have the same mechanism.

HOW DO YOU GET THE HEADLIGHTS OUT? You point out the bolt locations, but how do you get the headlights out of the actual car?
This video deserves an award!! 🏅
Thanks for the upload it was a great help
👍
HI ! Just before I leave home tomorow to cross france to join family for christmas hollidays : I had a bulb lamp dead, wanted to change it ! hopefully I found that video that helped a lot ! thanks so much , see you in 2032 for next bulb change ;) .
Thanks for taking the time to do this video, it helped me discover the location of back bolt inside the fender.
It’s a tough bolt to get to even if you know it’s there. A long screwdriver would be great, I’ve never seen a screwdriver long enough. But I used a quarter inch drive it barely fits through the hole.
Yer I saw yours got down that hole. I had a little driver bit set and it had a 20cm flexible extension which did it for me.
I did not take any headlight out, or any screws as they show just took the box of air cleaner out and opened the lid changed the bulb and repleaced the box, sooooo easy
Audi A4 b7? And al lights accessible?
Do i really have to take the bumper off just to get to the headlight?
No..look at. 1a auto...his vids are best...
@@kennys501 ok thanks
Hey Live Free!, I have a foggy front right headlamp, 1 of the holes to get to that retaining bolt is blocked!, Not by leaves or dirt, But from something on the car, What do you think it could be, as I can't get my socket extension down to the screw!, Any ideas would be great! Thank's.
Hey frined, say where do you live, that your audi a4 is so rusty? I thought mine is rusty but compared to yours mine looks kinda like factory new.
I.must have missed something. I'm not a mechanic and this is so damn confusing

If and when a front bulb blows on my Audi....the Audi goes too !! This procedure is beyond stupid.
Agreed! A lightbulb should not be that difficult to change.
This dude doesn't know his arse from his elbow.
I’m gonna help you take out the headlights
Never see any videos for the driver's side WHY??

I changed my head lights without having to remove the bumper...
have a video link?
@@lonewolf6842 i just had to figure it out i suggest taking the bumper off
@@joeyp8928 What about parking bulbs?
Well, this is how car manufacturers ensure that their dealer network keeps work and can earn good money. I just think it is criminal that it is impossible to change a simple lamp. In Europe, a law is in force that obliges manufacturers to make it possible for the driver to change a lamp in a simple manner
You should have checked to see if the headlight work before you put everything back together
What a pain in the ass
This is sloppy video. Thank you
video is WRONG !!!
because in European Union is law, that each car has to be manufactured that way, that everybody is able to remove bulbs.
Therefore it's absolutely not necessary to remove the lights. Check out other clips
Anyone CAN change headlights, the proper way to do it is loosen the bumper to allow the headlight to easily come out. Anyone CAN do it if they have the special T30 driver needed to get thru the little hole in the fender. It is necessary to remove the headlights to do the job properly.
Useless
