    I think the consistency definitely helps. I post bi-weekly so I can maintain my buffer. My comic is also suuuuper niche so I learned after a year of posting that I will have a slow climb lol.
    But I don't mind as much as I used to. My comic is about Catboys that work at a cafe. But it's not romance or a BL so many of those that might be interested pass it by.

    this was really well made! great job! definitely starting a comic can be super overwhelming and ive learned the hard way that buffers are a must if you want to stay actively consistent TuT

      ok but what if I Don't have any connect with my readers "in future " as social media ;-; like Insta Snap or even Tik ... How on earth am I gonna announce my comic and let anyone hooked by my comic ::::-::::: I'm scared pls help

    • @kingloxii
      @kingloxii 2 роки тому +2

      @@oxinardai1246 honestly.. if you post your comic anywhere, you don't really need social media to start. Sometimes people find you and will subscribe to your story but they won't follow your social media. I probably only saw like 10 people go follow my Instagram who even reads my comic... and I have 6,000 subscribers who read my story.. and not all of them go to my social media. I didn't even promote my comic until much later. If you're scared, just pick one social media to use for now like Twitter and only use that for posting everything. Then later you can get more like tiktok and stuff when you're ready. Good luck! 👍

    I really think posting consistently really is the answer. I remember my comic reaching 10k subs in 6 months as well without using ads, it is simply by just posting weekly. I feel like by doing that, a random admin could see your comic and like it would feature you in their events. >w

    I've always wanted to make my own comic. I've literally been working for 2 years developing the story and characters...but I don't know how to draw. I've been trying for almost 2 weeks non-stop now to improve my art skills even a little bit but it just isn't working (I know art takes time to improve, but I've been studying anatomy and developing my own style all day every day). Do you have any advice on how I could improve faster? Also, how important is the art to the comic? Should I spend a couple of years improving my art before I release my comic to the public, or would it still be successful if I'm new to this?

    • @alexpiccy
      @alexpiccy 2 роки тому +1

      Hi, I don't know about the webtoon related questions but as far as the anatomy studies go I think that anybody can get the basics down buy drawing a couple hundred figure (maby using the guidelines like あたりor クロッキー sorry, but I don't know the names in English). If you struggle with hands draw a couple hundred hands, same thing for anything else...
      Faces, dynamic poses etc... It's standard practice, and very effective, just trust the process

      @@alexpiccy Thank you so much! Right now my profile picture is the best I can do, but I'll keep doing my best to improve and get my comic out there.

      Sadly it’s really not something you can rush this much despite all of us wishing it could😭 but in the mean time maybe give writing a go? It’s for sure a skill of its own also but it’s probably easier to get into than comics with barely any drawing experience? In the future when your skills have improved you can always make a webcomic adaptation ! It can allow for you to get your story out there sooner and allow time for your drawing skills to improve

    • @cheesetoast5034
      @cheesetoast5034 2 роки тому +1

      @@Moo-uw4kx I've already written down a bunch of scenes from my story, but I'm trying to avoid writing too many before I actually draw them out. I think I'll listen to your advice and go the comic route before I head to webtoon.

      I use photoshop with a wacom cintiq drawing tablet. And yes, you can draw by hand or whatever what you want! I feel the fun of making comics is picking whatever medium you like and going with it.

    • @KatieCloverArt
      @KatieCloverArt  11 місяців тому +4

      Yes I do. From the ad revenue I get 100$ every couple of months. It used to be a bit more, but since they ended the rewards program and since I post infrequently I get that 100$ every 4-6 months now.

    What's the deal with only featured comic being able to add music? How do you become a featured comic?

    • @KatieCloverArt
      @KatieCloverArt  Місяць тому

      My guess is they want their original comics to stand out more so they gave them more features like music.
      Also to become a featured artist I believe you have to be noticed by webtoons. Sometimes they have contests but it’s hard to win those
