i like this unit, except that it has to be wired into the motorcycle and not just into a usb port. Other than that it works very well.

Hei - couple of things, you can power it up from the usb c at the bottom of the unit, the other thing i did is i screwed that back bracket on to a quad lock RAM mount (the ball) and then screwed the bracket to the unit, then you can use it with the huge range of ram products for mounting options, hope that helps folks 👍
so what are the differencies between the two models other than usb power? this unit seems to have nice side buttons, the non-SE has the same?
They're both rebranded generic Chinese products. I can buy the Regular $259 model (screen comes out of the cradle) for $115 delivered to my house in South East Asia. The "SE" model, I can get for about $63 delivered to my house.
How do I search for the SE model? I managed to find the Maxca C5 Pro but not the OEM for the SE model
Does it have auto brightness?
What are these ones like compared to the other brand you reviewed earlier? Think you had one in the 'stang and one on the bike.
I think both were by Ottocast. This is just the cheaper version for the bike. So it has waterproofing. The car version definitely does not.
@@gregtoope thought you had put a Carpuride version on one of the bikes. My mistake.
Difference between the SE and the other model is only the cradle in the non-SE model, which allows you to just detach the unit from the cradle and walk away with the Android Auto unit.
What is that accessory inlet exactly for? Figured that out?
You can charge your phone or insert a music source (stick or mp3)

@davidbudgen5876 how do you get the sound to go to cardo unit only? For my setup, the sound will go to both ottocast and cardo unit.
What’s the difference between this and the non se ?
the standard model sits in a cradle so you can easily remove the unit when not in use. the SE is permanently mounted on and requires tools to remove

I got one of these, as soon as it rained, it just cycled itself on and off for the whole rest of the ride home,

So I returned it.
I ordered one from your first video. They delivered it to the wrong address. I went through the ringer with them, and the delivery service. They wouldn't give me my money back or a new product. All of these companies are Chinese and don't have any way to speak with them. Just a big scam. Wasted my money

Yes, exactly. I don’t understand why people blame the company that shipped the product, when it’s the shipping company who is responsible for their mistake. Lodge a missing package with them, they usually have insurance too.
sounds like either the shipping company messed up or you entered the wrong adderess. this has nothing to do with the product or the company. figure it out
