Thank you so much for this video, I’ve been practicing so much for my UCAT but I feel like my results aren’t showing any justice whatsoever. I’m thinking of getting the one week subscription for medify cus my exam is next week. I never actually used medify and was unaware of it; I used the iSC book which apparently is way too hard compared to the real thing. I’ve heard medify is really good. What things did you do in the final week of preparation if you don’t mind me asking?

Hi mate, I would highly recommend Medify, in the week leading up to my exam, I solely used it - I did a mock exam every second day on it and then in the other days I would practice the sections I was doing worst in on the mocks (using sets of timed questions on Medify) . Hope this helps :)

Hi for VR which resource would you say matched the level of difficulty, really stressing out as I’ve been struggling on medify and if that’s easier than the real thing I am screwed. • @andrxw3272

Hey, I would say that the UCAT official mocks are probably the most similar in difficulty, unfortunately VR is just a hard section. One thing that helped me was skipping any questions that had a vague statement which required you to search the whole passage, and instead ensuring I answered all the Yes/No/Can’t tell questions as these are quicker.

Rikhil_88 I mean that I always did timed practice and set myself targets to improve, for example, initially I aimed to get half the questions done in the allocated time, then as I improved I aimed to get 3/4 done in the time and so on. Jocelyn Li Hey, thank you! I had one week of placement at a hospital via an NHS placement (which was available through applying online), plus 3 days at a GP surgery - that was all clinically wise, but I did volunteer at a care home also. Ultimately though from my application experience, there is no minimum work experience: you’ve probs heard this before but it’s all about how you can reflect on what u have. Ik the Dundee website does say 2 weeks but don’t stress too much if you can’t get this (particularly given the pandemic as from my experience they never actually question you on the duration), just try to gain as much relevant insight into the Medical profession as you can whether that’s through reading, online research, or if you can get it any experience seeing caring environments/clinical settings. Hope this is somewhat helpful, and if you have any other questions feel free to ask :)
