I have not been fishing since I was a teenager. Now that I'm 42 I needed help setting up my new rod. I tried a few videos and they didn't help at all. This guy did a great video. It's short and direct with no random AC/DC music or filler video. Thank You!!!

In my time we used a traditional way of fishing using handline but now am 62 yrs old one of my givin to me a fisjing rod and i am buy a reel. am interesting to use a fishing with rod. thank you for sharing this video my friend. watching from philippine island the small island in asia.

Now I want to take my kids fishing and I hard time putting the rods together. I knew I was missing something, and yes, I need to change the weights and add a bobber. We are going back to fresh water fish tomorrow, and we will use real worms. I am so excited. 😊

Totally agree! Zach, you are a wonderful teacher. I learned more with your video than I have in a lifetime of fishing. My line recently started twisting and bunching up. Now I know why! I bought an inexpensive pool for immediate use. The line was already wound onto it, but I can't find the spot where I can pull it out. Should I just use my fingernail clippers to cut it?
